That I don't know. I could find out, but my contact doesn't do "over the phone". Let's give it another hour. If she hasn't moved by then we can either move on her here or we can get some more intel and re-evaluate. Right now, we need to know when and where that shipment is coming in from. She looks to be our best lead... unless the boys get something from that Jack guy.

An hour or so comes and goes, and Lucky's frustration increases. The fact that Benet sits there calmly and quietly grates on her nerves even more. Just when she decides that it's coming down to taking some bliss, leaving , or killing Bennet, a roll up door opens, and a car's tail lights blaze red in the night.

The car pulls out. It looks like a modified 2069 Charger. There's definitely some armor on there for starters. A trio of roto drone salso go otu through the door, two taking position over the shop, and the last flying high up, apparently trailing the car.

Well, here we go. Lucky eyes the rotodrone tailing the car and then eases her car into the road a good 15 count after the car leaves. Keeping in mind her knowledge of the city and it's roads, Lucky rolls after the Chrysler, keeping it in sight but also letting it get ahead a few times, and then tracking it down again.

Lucky tails Riggerslitch for a good half an hour as the woman tends to drive down city streets rather than the freeway. Eventually they pull up to an old aprtment building with a parking garge in the next parish over. The building has seen better days. It's ten stories of moss covered red brick and mortar that is very unlikely to be up to code. The car pulls in to a covered garage area, blocked by a robot arm, adjacent to the building. The car pulls in ,the arm swinging up automatically, then closing.

Lucky turns to Bennett, regarding him for a moment as she parks the truck on the city street.
Well, man of mystery, do we move in?

I don't see any inconspicous way in. A place like this, the truck will stick out. Especially to a rigger that knows vehiccles. We'll have to go in on foot. Do youn want to question her here, or take her somewhere else?p

Lucky pulls her duffel bag out of her back seat, opening it and pulling out the nanopaste jar. Looking in her rearview, she spreads some over her face, subtly altering her features and making her appear human. She puts the baseball cap on, letting it cover the tops of her ears and threading her hair through the back of it. She also slides on her gloves and the bag, slinging it over one arm like a messenger bag.

Bennet nods, and slides his Ares Alpha underneath his long coat. He opens the truck door and slides out, headed for the parking structure.

The area is rundown, but not overly worn. There is trash around, but less than expected. There is the usual back ground count of 1 that is so common all over new Orleans, all though it is a bit higher here. it seems as if there are few people living here.

The rotodrone is also still in the sky.

Lucky speaks quietly to Bennett.
The rotodrone is still above us, so be cautious. It's possible that this place is hers and hers alone.

Not good. That could be worst than the warehouse. We should move quick then, incease that is the case. We don't want to give her time to arm anything.

Bennet jogs forward in to the garage, looking around inside, and heads to the left towards the apartment building.

Lucky follows at a run.
If things go bad and I have to use my magic... how do I keep it from Bennett? Best not to think about what the aftermath might be.
Still using Enhanced Perception and Analytics, Lucky keeps her eyes open and stays alert.

The garage is decenlty sized, with enough space for maybe thirty vehicels . There are perhaps 10 in it. They're in varying condition, makes and models. the Charger is near the door going in to the building.

As they walk through, Lucky eyes the Charger, checking for any other drones lying near it or under it, and also checking to see if the woman did indeed get out of the vehicle.

There's no sign of the woman, nor anything beneath the car. Close inspection shows what looks to potentially be a pop up slot for a gun of some sort. More than one actually. This vehicle is made for a road warrior. The black paint job is nice too.

Dammit! I still need to get the paint job redone on the Dodge. I keep forgetting to do that. Lucky sighs and then moves on, heading for the door.

The door in to the apartment is sturdy metal door with a heavy maglock.

Not a good sign.

Lucky eyes the lock and pulls out the maglock passkey she has with her. Holding it up between her fingers she looks at Bennett. She raises her eyebrows in silent question.

He nods.

The door clicks as the maglock disengages. bennet draws his assault rifle from beneath his jacket, keeping it low, and leans against the door frame, motioning for Lucky to open it.

Lucky slides to the other side of the door and pulls her Ares from under her jacket. With her other hand she opens the door.

The hallway is short, leading in to a t-junction. The inside looks about as rundown as the rest of the buidling. There's no sign of Riggerslitch.

Lucky eyes the hallway and then the floor, looking for footprints or perhaps a more worn print in the carpeting, or drag marks from bringing in machinery ... anything to indicate which way she might have gone.

the floor is well worn, but there doens't seem to be anything t oidicate frequent trafic one way or the other.

Lucky hears a sound of multiple fans buzzing somewhere.Bennet must hear it to, becuase his face scrunches up in confusion.

Lucky peers around the corner of the hallway, dropping to her knees to do so.

She sees a pair of small drones about the size of a trash can lid. Each has an SMG attached to the top, leaning sideways.

The round strikes the small drone sticking and sparking off blue bolts of electricity. The little drone drops to the ground. The other one opens fire.

Resist 10DV, -1 AP. The drone fires off a short burst directly in to Lucky as she fires off he round at moves back around the corner. The tight confines cartainly favor the drones, and restrict the dodging space.

Lucky screams out as she gets tagged right along the shoulder as she dives for cover. Sprawled across the hallway, Lucky struggles to her feet, favoring her arm.

Bennet quickly moves out as Lucky retreats , firing of a fast burst from his combat gun. From the sounds of the impact, he's using something more like explosive rounds. The gun tears apart the drone.

Bennet cries out as rounds begin chewing up his back. he dodges in to the ahllway, the rest of the rounds taking part of the wall. Lucky can still hera more drones to the left, and form the sound of it, more coming down from both directions.

Frag it! This is looking like the worst fragging case scenario. You take the right. I'll get the left.

Bennet leans towards the edge of the wall, and points his combat gun around the cornoer , not looking him self. he fires, using the smartgun cam to aim with.



The rounds fire off, and from the sound of it connect, and antoher drone is torn apart.

Spirit of Fire, tear the machines apart! Lucky commands the bound F: 3 spirit and takes aim with her Ares, more for show then anything else.

A roar of flam filsl the hall to the right, and a moving form of fire engulfs one of the drones on Lucky's side. From the sound of it ,the drone is boucning off the walls. The other one fires on Lucky's position.

Bennet shouts Fragging elementals! We might need that pop gun you left in the truck if they've got a mage Luck!

Moving quickly ,Bennet fires off another burst around the corner. Another drone is fragged.

With the second shot fired, Lucky looks back over her shoulder at Big Red.

Bennet rolls around the corner this time , firing quickly. His round stear apart the last drone to the left.

Both drones drop from Lucky's shots, the third finally crashing from the elementals assault. The hound races off immediately, past the downed drones, and around the corner 15 meters away. A crunching sound tells Lukcy there was indeed more for Red to deal with.

To be on the safe side, after hearing the cybered dog take down yet more drones, Bennet launches a micro grenade down the hall, yanking Lucky back around the corner to avoid any shrapnel.

That elemental destoryed the drone. You brought it. It would have been helpful listing that among out assets in the first place.

Lucky stares at him for a long moment and then speaks.
We'll discuss it later. Suffice it to say for now, that yes I can cast. Hold still.
Spellcasting: Heal (F: 5)

Lucky places her hands on Bennett's back and casts Heal for the first time in her life. She soon realizes why Mal told her that casting on those with cyber was so frustrating.

Bennet tenses the moment Lucky starts spellcasting in his direction. The tension eases somewhat once the heal spell takes effect. The message is clear: Don't cast anything I don't like in my direction, or one of us won't live to regret it.

He turns to face her once the spell is finished.The casting took a good thirty seconds. His poker face is on.

Thank you, that is better. We should move quickly though. 'll cover the left, you go right with your dog. We can't take the chance of the rigger escapeing. Heal your self first.

Bennet actually laughs, as he pulls up Red's "eyes" program on th AR. Looking up, Lucky almost loses her spell from laughing.

The cybered hound s chewing on one of the sparking, SMG toting drone like a giant,warm firsbee.

Finishing her spell, Lucky stands up and takes the commlink back from Bennett.
Let's get moving. I don't want to run the risk of her taking off.
