Great.
The rest of you, let's keep doing this. I don't want this game to fall apart. We were doing so well.

I'm not sure what "great" means, Hunter, but if it's a complaint I don't appreciate it. I don't take lightly the responsiblities to the games I participate in - and part of that responsiblity is letting people know what they can expect from me.
If "great" meant 'great - good luck'... well, thanks. I'll need it.

Good Luck Sparky, I know you will do your best! Keep me posted on how you're doing in the contest.

Nov 2 2004, 07:31 PM
Yeah, it was a complaint, and I'm sorry if it's not appreciated, but it just sorta sucks that so many of us have dropped off in posting. I'm worried that this is going to fall apart like so many other games I've been in have and like play-by-post games in general seem to do.

Nov 2 2004, 07:34 PM
Just because things slow down doesn't mean the game is dead. Just chill and let things work themselves out. McQ isn't the type to let a game die off, he'll just replace those that leave.

Thanks guys.
My first match up doesn't start until Saturday. After that I have 72 hours to post my story and then I wait to see if I advance. So I should be able to post regularly until Saturday at least. Unless my starting round gets bumped up or something.

isnt it cheaper just to ship our stuff over there and take a legal flight though? if the doc will clear everyone tonight we could be gone right now. send people who have registared weapons first, they wont have to wait on the box o weapons.
HeySparky
Nov 5 2004, 10:52 PM
Legal flights out of the city probably aren't an option. Though, somebody - coughBastardcough - ought to check that out.
If we go with roundtrip with Townsend's guy it'll be
2375 each (
1500 each one-way). I think we should ship the uh... less legal stuff regardless - so that we don't tick off the pilot or Townsend (or jack up the price even more).
All my gear is legal/permited. My paperwork is recent having just moved here. Not sure if it's good for the UCAS, but I've had my vaccinations and visa stuff all seen to within the last year.
The only thing I'm worried about is if we're VITAS carriers. I'm not so cavalier as Gonzales that we haven't been exposed.
Of the
19,000 we have
15,500. We need
3500 more, of which I can contribute
500. Though that leaves just a few hundred nuyen between me and broke.

I can cover the last
3,000, also Edana. the VITAS outbreak started at a train station, we should be safe. The ways in which VITAS spread mean that we would have had minimal exposure. I can''t say the same about our pilot.

Well, Masking is up but not full power (after all, he doesn't know he's an Adept!), so you can tell if you try, but most likely you'll glance at him and shrug.
State... Pretty worried, but putting out a calm exterior. He managed to survive VITAS last time, so he's betting he'll beat it again. The thing he's worried about is the guy who released it.

Helios is anxious to just get to NYC and hunt his target. As far as VITAS goes, he's not really thinking about it in terms other than the time its wasting to be assensed for it.

Option A, 19k for a roundtrip smuggle. It may cost more, but it'll get things done a whole lot easier and faster. At this point we can't spare any unnessisary time getting to the target.

Okay - Unless the pilot objects to us carrying lots of nasty gear (McQ, you've seen the list of what these miscreants want to transport) I'm going to arrange the flight.

Maybe we should re-iterate what we're transporting.
My stuff:
-Colt Manhunter and 5 clips of Regular ammo plus the one already loaded in, and 3 clips each of oak-jacketed, iron, and silver ammo)
-Colt TZ-115 and 5 clips of Regular ammo, plus the one already loaded in, and 3 clips each of oak-jacketed, iron, and silver ammo)
-Katana
-Combat Vest
-20 pistol pouches
-10 shotgun pouches
-Grapple Gun and the spool loaded in (300 meters of stealth line) and the catalyst stick
-Personal Comm Unit
I think I can wear a lined coat on a flight with no problem, and my rucksack and three changes of clothes can be my carry-on luggage.
-69.25 kilos, I think (but only cause the weights for bullets are crap, I think).
