Hike or ride I have no problem with either. I would say drive, would be a better option thou.

In an effort to keep things moving:
Final answer needs to be in by Friday AM (GMT-0800) or I will push the game forward with the hike since different arrangements were not made.
The vote as it stands is 2 for Hike, 2 undecided and 4 abstaining.

See you at where we're meeting the guide. We can stash your bike in the back of one of the brumbys. (Not it!)

TN 4 for the athletics if you are under 5xStr load. Between 5-10xStr TN6. (That's either TN8 or TN10 for defaulting)
You can either karma, re-roll at a +2 or find another way to reach the top. Karma pools are going to refresh in the next scene change and I don't think anyone has used it yet...

HMHVV--The tunnel you are walking in effectively ends at the grate. You are climbing up a 30m section of rope to the overpass above. You can step out of the tunnel into the flood plain below the freeway if you'd like.
HMHVV Hunter
Nov 20 2004, 08:13 PM
Flood plain? Wha? I'm trying to picture this in my mind and I'm having a hard time of it.

HMHVV Hunter

So if we went up the flood plain, how far above our heads would the exit grates be?
BishopMcQ
Nov 21 2004, 12:28 AM
The grate you are standing at is the end of the pipe, it rests about one foot (0.28m) above the plain. The overpass is 30m above the plain.
HMHVV Hunter
Nov 21 2004, 12:50 AM
Ok...then I don't see how the flood plain is going to help.
Can I try the rope again?

Nov 21 2004, 01:09 AM
McQ, I hope you don't mind me adding Graves flashbacks in, although they are not "officially" triggered. I'm using them to reveal more of Grves back story as time passes, if it is okay with you.

Nov 21 2004, 01:23 AM
HMHVV--You said you had an idea, I wasn't going to quash your freedom if you wanted to try and pitch me some kind of batman-esque approach for scaling the highway. Feel free to try the rope, same TNs that I mentioned above.
Toturi--Feel free to add flavor to the character, I think it's a fine mechanism to see more of who you used to be.

I actually had a plan to use Great Leap to jump out of the manhole. I have Quickness 7 and Great Leap 4; that was my plan.
BishopMcQ
Nov 21 2004, 01:45 AM
HMHVV--Well a running leap, jump to the edge of the pylon, Wall-running could take you another 6m, great leap from there up and towards the rope. The TNs will be a little high, but I'll give you definite style points.
HMHVV Hunter
Nov 21 2004, 08:55 PM

HMHVV--You hit the pylon, about 6 meters up. Next test to keep going...
You may want to make several tests, and I will post the end result when all is said and done.
Bastard--It was a 4.
Sparky--Are you only perceiving or projecting fully? Astral perception clearly shows you Bishop's position despite his ruthenium, otherwise the freeway looks clear.

Alright, wall-running:
Athletics (5):
01, 03, 04, 05, 05
Spending Karma to re-roll the 1 and the 3 (minus -3 Karma Pool): 03, 03
Next test: Second Great Leap towards the rope:
Athletics (5), Great Leap (4):
01, 01, 02, 02, 03, 03, 04, 04, 10
BishopMcQ

Oh, right. Forgot.
Alright, Athletics test again:
02, 02, 04, 05, 11
Karma to re-roll the two 2's (gotta get out of this dank sewer sometime; -3 Karma Pool): 04, 04
Oh yeah, off-topic question: we were going to be awarded 1 Good Karma a week, right? So how much should we have by now?
BishopMcQ
Nov 22 2004, 06:20 AM
By my calendar, you've earned 8 good karma. There will be additional Karma handed out for story awards each time you complete a hunt.

BishopMcQ
Nov 30 2004, 07:31 AM
Toturi--British men are generally taller than Asians, which is why the man is now a tall Asian rather than a mid-range European. The only thing that changed was his skin color and facial structure.

Taller is an adjective reflexive on the "Asian", meaning he is above the baseline for his archetype. A taller Asian male is shorter THAN a shorter European male. (This is why English sucks. I could say the same sentence in French and there wouldn't be any confusion.)

Wouldn't a "tall Asian" be sufficient? A tall Asian male is shorter than a short European male.
