Vacation Notice

When: November 12 - 28

Why: I am going to Edmonton Canada to relax with the wife. Supermall baby.

Black out dates: 12,13 and 24, 27 an 28 are travel dates. I will be on a boat or in a car so no web access. The rest of the time I will have web access and will proabably check the forums.

Shadow- Is BC taking over again in your absence, or will you be present enough to continue to run the game?

EDIT: Saw your post about having web access, but I wasn't sure if you'd have time to post. Those spouses can get pretty demanding sometimes.

Well my wife is pretty cool, the only worry I will have about posting is getting the computer away from her long enough to do it!

Of course she does have dibs with it, she makes money when she is using it, I just play games

I will be able to post enough to keep the game going. Just those specific days I wont be able to post at all.

I took in a time lag there for my post for you guys to finish your conversation, I'm going to incommunicado for the next three days so I wanted to get to the garage and let us get moving. I've got two bags which will go in the car, the cyberdeck will stay with me. One of those bags does contain an assault rifle and ammo, just in case.

If you guys get to leaving before I'm back on Monday, I'm going to toss the electronic key to the black and blue Yamaha Rapier to one of the other team members, I'm planning on leaving nothing of value at this doss. If nothing else I'll trade or sell the bike as we go. Anyone of you can post that if I'm not available to do so.

Also Shadow, on the way out Erebus will stop and frisk the poor unfortunate vehicular homicide victim in the street. If need be I'll bash in another window to get to the guy. I'm not going to examine anything I grab, I'm just grabbing and going.

Okay, I'm back, it appears I didn't miss anything. Were we ambushed over the last three days? I was kind of expecting it, I mean, we've had at least three minutes of peace in game time so we're due.

I was about to ask that question myself. You know, we could just be posting IC and avoid the 'what are we waiting on' question a lot of the time. At least then the story moves forward. I think we all (myself included) could do better with that.

I think it's because we're all still thinking in combat time (gee I wonder why? ) so we keep waiting to see who's up next before doing anything so we don't jump the order.

EDIT: Bandit and Ronin, I just checked the IC thread, and yes, I was waiting for a response from you two before moving forward. I'm going to take my own advice and keep it moving, reply as soon as you can.

Feel free to move the story forward to Cedrics hideout.

Canada is a blast, but the internet acces is spendy. I will be on again day after tomorrow to check and answer any questions. For now move a long.

Cedric- Do you want to write us forward as meeting up with your contacts that were going to treat Tenmou and hide us out, since after all, you probably know them best?

I'll write the post to move us to the Doc's location in Puyallup. I'm just going to leave the Yamaha Rapier in the garage then, unless one of you volunteers to ride it?

Your call. I don't think anyone else can ride a bike right now, except possibly Daedalus (?) so maybe leaving it is the best choice.

re: the bike.
I agree, Daedalus has no skill in riding, though I suppose he could default... but it would probably take some concentration to do that and fly aerial support at the same time.

splitting up, honestly, I don't see how else we can accomplish these tasks, but the biggest barrier to that is the fact that we don't know how they keep finding us.

I mean, we could start moving our people out to do the various different tasks now while we stop by the doc, but... i don't think anyone feels too confident about that one.

btw gm question. If daedalus' van is rigged for remote control, could I potentially activate it while it is in the impound and drive it out? that way we'd only have to worry about breaking down the doors once.

Daedalus has a tactics knowledge skill, and a small unit tactics active skill. Given that we have some time now, can he take some time to really study the situation and keep watch over this all.

And coincientially, since those blimps are nearly impossible to detect, and can apparently move fast enough to keep up with us, I want the drones to be starting to do a systematic search for them.

and that is basically the sum of his actions in the warehouse. let me know if you want die rolls for anything.

As for the van, I don't know. My first thought would be that Star impound would have some kind of counter to that. But it might be worth a try.

General absence post:

Per instructions from my wife I am letting everyone know that I will NOT be posting from Wed Nov 23 until Mon Nov 28 in order to avoid significant marital discord and a horrible ass-whupping.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was filled with kids and family, so I'm glad to be back at work.

In reality I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday and Shadow, I hope you enjoyed your trip.

It was awesome. The best part of the trip was Thanksgiving in Ketchikan. My Father got to meet his 2 year old grand daughter for the first time. It was pretty cool.

You would have to do a drive by at the police impound to know for sure if that tactic would work. Its possible the burned out the receiver on the van or just do jamming, its also possible you could just drive it out of there on a shift change.

I know that I am waiting on Shadow, who is waiting on Sedna, which is fine with me. It would be possible for Erebeus and Dragon to work out their interrogation plan right now, regardless of the wait.

When you make that plan don't forget that your spell slinger buddy in the next room (meaning Virgil) is capable of reading this goon's mind. You can at least threaten him with it.

Sorry Shadow, I’m supposed to write Dragon’s opening interrogation post of the goon we’ve got in the trunk. I’m behind on all DS related stuff because we had two people quit in our department in the last two to three weeks, so I’ve suddenly jumped from ‘lowest ranking peon on the totem pole’ to ‘full fledged staff member we now feel comfortable dumping last minute emergency projects on’. Ergo, my post rate has declined significantly, and I was behind to begin with because of the CPA exam. I’ll get up a post ASAP, and keep working on catching up.

Shadow, let me know if I went too far with that, and if there's any rolls you need from me.

Dragon, in order to help the posts flow more in a more read-able fashion I'm going to OOC post any questions Erebus might have or ask and then let you handle the entire "interrogation" posts if that's okay. I think it will help the IC posts flow in a more dramatic fashion.

At this point I can't think of anything not covered already by your questions. I'll keep you up dated but go ahead and make use of Erebus in whatever fashion necessary for the dramatic effect you're after. He has few scruples anymore, a cleaned-up street kid and former ganger so I doubt you'll get any kind of morality driven "Don't, please this is wrong!" from him.
