I don't even get this code.
WinterRat1
Jun 6 2006, 05:41 PM
Heh, it's a pretty detailed code. We spent a lot of time coming up with a code that was sufficiently detailed to be useful in nearly all situations but succinct enough for us to actually be able to say/use it in combat.

So what does a quarter pounder, no pickles with fries and Coke mean?
(Sorry couldn't resist.)

Jun 6 2006, 06:03 PM
Happy to oblige . . . .

That would suggest a combinded physical, magical, and drone based threat . . . .now, would you like to supersize your meal?

No but what if you added a fillet-O-fish to that.

(Ok, I will leave now)
WinterRat1
Jun 6 2006, 06:18 PM
We've got that covered too. Anything else you'd like to test us on?

Kentucky Fried Chicken - Two Pieces of chicken and a biscuit
banditf50
Jun 6 2006, 06:40 PM
I know biscuits and gravy. . . but have never heard of a 'two-piece' at least not in regards to food.
WinterRat1
Jun 6 2006, 06:41 PM
Ah gotcha. Sorry Slip, wrong restaurant. You can make up your own code for 'two-piece and a biscuit'.
Slipshade
Jun 6 2006, 06:43 PM
Only MacDonalds huh?
Ok how about a McFlurry?

(I promise that was the last one)
banditf50
Jun 6 2006, 06:45 PM
Hmmm. . . perhaps we should add a designator for a side salad too.
WinterRat1
Jun 6 2006, 06:48 PM
Both the salad and the McFlurry are covered. Yeah, we spent WAY too much time on our code.
You're living in the wrong century Slip. We (D&D V3) call it
McHugh's now, doncha know?
Slipshade
Jun 6 2006, 06:52 PM
Yes. Waaaaaaaay to much time.
Sorry forgot about the trademark stuff. McHugh's is it.

ooh.. In-n-Out.. the hamburgers of legend.
Supposedly you can only find them in the far off magical land called California

Just wondering, who's supposed to make the next post? Cedric has something to respond to, but beyond that, is there an 'official' post from you we need to wait for BC?

I'll update at the 30 second mark via Daed, but anything can happen in between there. I don't want to pass over anyone, but this is going to take place somewhat quickly.

Jun 7 2006, 10:21 PM
Of course BC,
Actually just got out of the exam (

err... so should I now ask for OOC updates?

Spoiler for you:

Cars haven't changed direction, and neither Talos nor Icarus can see anything in the air. Considering how cold the night is, if something is out there its got excellent thermal masking. If something is out there.

Thanks Bc, it has been a long 6 weeks (of cramming)

If you want to write the 30 seconds (02:09:25) post with Daedalus in it to fold in storytelling elements go ahead, otherwise i'll post something tomorrow (Thursday).

I told 'Ronin this, but I'll let everyone else know: I don't really need to know the code (and its actually funny, in its own way). I can glean what I need to, and I'll ask for translations when necessary.

Well this could get a bit touchy to explain. Hopefully Erebus and the Doc are good friends...
BTW, while Dragon is here and this guy's talking, is there anything else anyone wants to know I should ask him about?

Yeah, sawing off fingers can do wonderous things.
Also, update for you 'Ronin, if you want to give it out:
[ Spoiler ]
Make the timestamp 30 seconds after the last update, eta around a minute. Cars are still on the way, no deviation from course. Talos is in position. No other sign of incoming (air, ground, from orbit, etc) from anything.

Anyway team, like I said, is there anything else anyone wants to know while he's talking?
banditf50
Jun 13 2006, 02:06 PM
Are the cars approaching either coming because of him or for him? Meaning was be able to send a homing signal out using some piece of headware?
WinterRat1
Jun 13 2006, 02:06 PM
Should we just wack him now then? I don't think there's anything more we need. Want maybe, but not need.
Cedric Rolfsson
Jun 13 2006, 02:54 PM
Errr, okay, explaining this to Doc is going to be REAL interesting, can we wait to kill him until the bad guys start shooting? Then we can claim it was just a random shot and not cold blooded murder. Although I doubt that could blooded murder is much worse than sawing a man's fingers off.
Let me see. . ."Jeez Doc, he'd broken his fingers trying to escape and we were worried about infection. . . ." or perhaps "Dragon just recently had a bad episode with his manicurist and I'm not sure how his therapy is going. . ." or the ever useful old stand by "Really he asked us to do it, you know those Yakuza and their finger things. . . "
WinterRat1
Jun 13 2006, 03:06 PM
Uh, doesn't the Doc already know we were torturing this guy? I mean, he DID give Erebus that nasty contraption thingy to remove flesh from bone. All he asked was that we keep the noise down. On the other hand, we can point out to him that we have company coming (which should've been pointed out by now anyway) and are now in a bit of a hurry. Plus, this guy DID break loose once already. So he was definitely a threat. Yep, definitely a threat, and we had to remove his capacity to endanger us and everyone here.
And it isn't murder. It's preemptive self-defense. He tried to kill us once, we have great reasons to believe he would try to do it again if we let him go. Hence, we're just killing him before he can do the same to us. It just so happens we're in a much better position to wack him than he is to wack us at the moment, and we're taking advantage of that fact.
If all else fails, simply tell the Doc this guy was part of a group that set us up, double crossed us, and planned to keep coming after us until we were dead. That should balance the scales a bit I would think. Sure, it's cold-blooded of us to torture him, kill him, and then kill our way back up the trail he gave us until this ends, but in the great comeback of kindergartens around the world, "He (they) started it!"
