Ok, I’d appreciate it if each person only looks in the spoiler for themselves:

Don’t believe you’ve giving me a name for your character yet, but he has previously worked with Zelda, Tempty, Taku, Crosshairs, and the missing mystic adept who was previously unnamed, but I’m going to call him Wang Chi. In fact, your last run with them just finished up a day or two ago (the rest of the group had gone out celebrating and stopped off at the Stuffer Shack after the night’s revels were finished). Being a bit more serious minded (or for whatever other reason you want to come up with that would be in-character for him), your character did not go out partying with them or you left early, thus explaining why you weren’t at the Stuffer Shack.
Metagaming, I’m sure you’ve figured out this whole thing has to do with the team’s last mission (why else would I be giving you details about it, right?). Try to keep in mind that your character wouldn’t necessarily think of that instantly (unless he’s the paranoid sort).
Anyways, here’s the basic info on the run: You were hired by a female Ms. Johnson to recover a package that was stolen from her uncle who lives in Australia. Her uncle’s agents had been able to determine that it was being shipped to Seattle via a small time shipping company that deals pretty much exclusive in traffic between the outback and the Seattle metroplex. Initially the team had plan to grab the package in transit, but soon realized that would be unadvisable as you discovered more security on the vessel than estimated. Instead you relied on some skilled hacking of the warehouse and were able to grab the package from there before it was forwarded on to the final recipient, designated on the shipping invoice as S.Z. In the end, the run wasn’t all that difficult.
If there are any specifics you think your character would have tried to find out about during legwork, tell me and we will see about it.

Ok, netlich’s new character (as yet unnamed) has worked with the rest of the team previously. He may or may not be a regular member of the team (you guys can discuss that openly if you wish), but whatever the case he was with you all on the last mission. He just wasn’t out with you partying or whatever on the night you all stopped in the Stuffer Shack.

BaronKen’s new character is actually a contact of the missing mystic adept’s (the player who was supposed to play the mystic adept never got as far as naming him, so I’ve just made up the name Wang Chi for him). Your character ran into the two of them once in a bar a few months ago and Wang Chi introduced as a friend named Grins.

Your character is a contact, with high enough loyalty that your are extremely interested in finding out about his whereabouts, of the missing mystic adept’s (the mystic adept was previously unnamed, but I’ve now given him the name Wang Chi). The only other member of the team that you have met was Tempty, and that was just happenstance as she ran into you and Wang one time a few months back while you were have a meeting in a bar or club somewhere. Wang introduced the two of you by name, but as there was obviously some business being discussed between Wang and yourself, she did not stick around long.
Anyways, in the last day or so you have been hearing some rumors about some people looking for Wang and from the descriptions what sounds like the rest of the team. In fact, the strongest rumor was told to you by somehow you met at your Talismonger (you and Wang used the same Talismonger). Someone named Celia (Cold-Dragon’s character) happened to be there looking for Wang. Celia claims to be an old acquaintance of Wang’s with important information that he needs, that information being that some bad people are hunting him, possibly because of some run that he just pulled off.
Already having heard some rumors of such (and also wanting to confirm that Celia is in fact a friend of Wang’s), you tried to get in touch with him again (seems he had his commlink turned off while the group was out partying and prior to that you were just getting his voicemail). Surprisingly you get through and start warning him of the rumors you’ve heard (this would be the phone call that had delayed Wang from entering the Stuffer Shack with the rest of the group). When you mention the name Celia as the one who you just brought the newest rumor to you, he said “Celia, eh? Hmmm…….” Then you heard the sound of gunfire coming through the line and a muffled curse from Wang. There was also some muffled crashing sounds and the sound of breaking glass, but it is all a bit hard to distinguish with the storm going on. The best you can tell the commlink was dropped and left on (at least until the line goes dead with the sound of screeching tires and what you suspect was a motorcycle’s engine being run hard not quite a minute later). After that, you have tried to call him but get nothing, in fact it’s as if the commlink is completely dead, you aren’t even getting voicemail anymore.

First off, is your character male or female? The name sounds female, but I wanted to double check with you to be sure.
Anyways, you have ostensibly been hired by the Seattle Metroplex Zoo to find the whereabouts of a rare animal that was stolen in transit from Australia. It has been described as a nearly hairless breed of koala that was to be a new attraction in the coming spring. It is believed that a group of Shadowrunners were the culprits (you were given rough descriptions of those the suspects). You are doing it for a friend of a friend of a friend. The job is just to find out the location of the animal, not necessarily to recover it (though they’d probably produce a nice bonus if you were able to do so). The person who hires you doesn’t care about who did the stealing, they just need to know what happened to the koala as their “job is on the line here”.
Being alone on this you told them you weren’t sure what you could do, but they couldn’t afford to hire a whole team so they just said do your best. As it turns out, you got lucky (well in a way it was both good and bad luck). You quickly ran into rumors of another group looking for the same runners (only description you’ve heard is “suits” and “dark”). From the sound of it this other group has better resources than you do (not surprising as they are a group and you are alone). At that point you were getting ready to just give up on it as you expected they would find the runners before you could, but by that point you had found out the name of one or the runners, Wang Chi. The name sounded oddly familiar though you have no reason why. Out of curiosity more than anything else, you decide to try one more place (a late night talismonger shop Wang supposedly frequents) before calling it quits.
There you run into a contact of Wang’s named Grins. Deciding to use this opportunity to get closer to the runners in hopes of finding out about the koala, you claim to be an old acquaintance of Wang’s (well the name does sound familiar to you so it at least remotely possible though you don’t actually remember ever knowing anybody by that name) needing to warn him of the other group that is hunting for him.
Grins seems a bit suspicious of you, but he goes ahead and gives Wang a call over the commlink (probably wanting to check your acquaintance story along with giving him the rumors). He seems to talk to Wang for a few moments and then a look of concern comes over his face (almost immediately after your name was mentioned, so you were a little worried that your story was failing to hold up). After a moment though, you realize that Wang is no longer answering Grins.
Basically, that call is what delayed Wang while the rest of the group entered the Stuffer Shack. The events in the Stuffer Shack are likely what caused the interruption in the conversation, but the line went dead on Grins less than a minute later so there really is no way to tell if something else might have happened to him.
Ok, those spoilers should give everybody a little bit of background on the story. You can go ahead and post what your plans from here are going to be and anything you think your character would have tried to find out regarding whatever I just told you in the spoilers.
I haven’t decided what to do with the
Crosshairs character just yet. He’s either going to decide to forget about finding out about the missing mystic adept and go into hiding; or he will disappear in much the same way as the mystic adept. We’ll see.
I'm actually not feeling too well right now, so that may reflect in the spoilers. If so, just post or pm me and i'll try to clarify.
