Nice work, folks. I like it a lot, both what you've done and what you're doing.
Could I bother you for a sketch for my character, if you get the time? His name is Jerk, and he's a Jamaican Orc -- all dreadlocks and tusks. No obvious cyberware, he's primarily a hacker, secondarily a drone rigger, low lifestyle, Rasta, doesn't carry weapons, hemp hoodie with an armored jacket.
Thanks in advance.

I've got a new player in my group, and he's been doing an amazing job. He's new to RPG's in general, not just SR4. Could you make him a drawing?
His character:
Cue Ball. (He actually picked this runner name).
Actual name unknown, from Amnesia flaw. (He's actually Mr. Darke, with all of his memories wiped. Yes, I'm evil.)
Description:
White caucasian male, entirely shaven head. Slightly obvious cybereyes, no other apparent 'ware. His arms are pretty beefy, but he's out of shape, and does'nt get much excecise.
He's usually found with his favorite weapon, a cue ball. (He's not much of a combat specialist.) He also has two large revolvers in holsters, but he only removes these from his car when he knows he'll need him. All of his memories involve engineering in one way or another, so that's what he does: He's usually found with a spanner in one hand, tinkering with his bizzare station wagon-y thing.

You mentioned outfits, are you using Poser? If so, what are you using for the background?
I ask primarily, because back when I made amatuer games, I played with Blender a bit, but never took to it. Hook me up with the info, if its software that is bearable to use, heh.

Just using a free product from Daz. I grabbed props, and started changing the textures I used a wall as the background. daz uses the same cloths as poser.
It is bearable, I just have to learn how to save poses and textures so that I can easily change the presets.

Brilliant, I have a question about the lighting though. I really really like it. The amount of dark clothing is off set by the background and the Sunglasses and Eyes are awesome.
Your Backgrounds in general are great. I am curious if you can change the angle of Perception? A shot from below, above, to the side, etc...
Thank you Sir

Yup ... I can change it to whatever angle I needed.... I just liked the profile that captured the stained glass.
As for the backgrounds ... I am cheating ... I am just using generic props, then sticking some images on them to punch them up.

I've progressed a bit since this started, so if you'd like, and if anybody else cares to, I can redo your character. This is great practice for me, especially considering that I am drawing things I would have never thought of before.

"Crazynumbers?" They're not crazy, they just need deciphering. This should help: Insert a slash between the first, second, and third numbers.
And if you want to have another go, I'm all for it. Why not update her for 2070s, while you're at it? Go crazy with the AR and the HUD-glasses and that stuff.
Heh, have fun with it. Just remember that she loves the following things in life, in this order:
Women
Showing Off
Decking (Hacking, now? She'd probably have modded a Fairlight Excalibur into her commlink)
Raving
Conspiracy theories
Shooting people who deserve it
Handing the ass to anyone who dosen't suspect she has Wired REflexes II and Unarmed 5/Specialization (Aikido) 6.
With SR4's new skill groups, she can now (thankfully) use any sort of gun, though she still loves an Ares Predator. But any sort of assault rifle/SMG would also be appropriate, if you're feeling another gun for the picture.
Oh, and the pictures I put up from the MMO Beta were designed to highlight her Widow's Dress, but by far that's not all she wears. She loves to show off, and that includes herself, too. Be creative, you're the artist. I trust your judgement.

Here's my character if you have the time:
Character: Gunner
Race: Human
Gunner is 6'0", with a solid, athletic build, but not unusually bulky. He has dark auburn hair, short, and slightly spiked on top. His cybereyes appear normal unless you look very closely. He wears a black secure jacket, grey pants, leather boots.
He is a weapons specialist capable of using any and all weapons at his disposal, often favours the bigger weapons and is a walking arsenal. Favours the Super Warhawk pistol, Valiant LMG, and Dikoted Katana. Switches out to an AK-97 SMG for when the LMG is too bulky.
Just recently I've also started playing an aspected mage:
Character: Blake
Race: Ork
Blake is a 6'5" tall, 230lbs Ork with shoulder length black hair and steel grey eyes behind a pair of dark shades. A crimson long coat ripples in the breeze over a jet black shirt and pants making it hard to discern any shapes beneath. A variety of intricate rings, each slightly different, adorn his fingers. A medalion with the image of a Triskellion hangs lightly in the center of his chest.
He's an Ork Sorceror, the rings are his fetishes. He can cast many spells: Stunbolt, Flamethrower, Lightning bolt, Powerball, Splash, Treat, Incr Reflexes +3 Ini, Improved Invisibility, Levitate, Hot Potato, Healthy Glow, Fashion, Makeover, Trid Entertainment, Armor, Mindprobe. His favoured non-spell weapon is a Cavalier Deputy pistol.
He rides a black BWM Blitzen 2050 to get around the city.
Thanks

Thanks for the System details Looks like there shouldn't be an issue running on my old notebook.
Too bad about the online thing though, seeing as I do not carry a credit card (by personal choice - I treasure what little privacy I have left in life & already dealt with one Identity rip a few years ago when I had a calling card with my phone account).

Not very if you don't mind purchasing models from the Daz Online shop.
Put it this way... I purchased like 3 kits to make the Cass "Run Goes Bad" shot. Cost around $25 plus my spare time.
Cheaper (and better IMO) than having a custom character portrait done be some of the art shops on the web.

Hey, any of the artists on this thread read the community projects MMORPG thread?
We are looking for concept artists (illustrative) to help pin down the visual style of an SR-like "manapunk" universe.
There is also need of 3D artists interested in creating assets.
All work would be just for fun, but you wouldn't be chained to your desk or anything. Anyone who creates for the love, please check it out.
If you want answers not provided by the thread, feel free to PM or e-mail me.
At the very core of the project we're looking to supply a fairly open canvas for "reimagining" shadowrun into something the MMO can become that would not leave our/your effort at the mercy of Microsoft's mishandled interactive license on SR.
