First off, thanks as always guys.

As KK said I've got a few people in line before the epic duo is gonna get started smile.gif. I'll make sure to post the sketch first on that one for sure. I've been feeling a slight improvement in my work lately so hopefully that will show when we got to the kk+skate picture.

Anyways, as always apologies for skipping around a bit (waregear), but I felt more compelled to do this image up this morning:

RaventheWingedWarrior's Winged Warrior smile.gif

Thank my crappy headcold for me being off work today and doing this picture, that and me finishing off the last episode on my Smallville season 5 set....

.. Um...

Never apologise. Your work is great, and all these images are congregating in my game resources folder wink.gif

I look forward to seeing the end results of my request, but I just as avidly look forward to everyone elses pics as well.

...likewise, I have been building a gallery as well.

With how far your technique has progressed, I almost...almost...would like to see another stab at Leela (runner version) and Violet...sometime, but you have your hands full for now. Maybe later.

Still love your pic of Hannah BTW. I have a print which I keep with her character folio.

Also went ahead and reworked Markova for SR4.
nezumi
Hey, are you still doing character sketches? Because I'd love one. My character is named Becka. She's a drop bear with sable fur, coral colored eyes, ear tips marked with chocolate tufts.

Thanks!
Kyoto Kid
...not to be confused with my ex-Mossad sniper and demolitions expert 'Bekka...

(...she doesn't look good in fur, clashes with the camo fatigues)

That's all I need to say. Brilliant.
Demerzel
Do you mind if these pics get used for things like Commando Demo events, etc?
Squinky
Thanks guys smile.gif

And yeah, I am still accepting requests and see no point in the near future where I won't. As long as everyone is patient smile.gif.

Kyoto Kid
...I'll PM 'Bekka's details later this week...or maybe my little street kid misfit, Da Brat. Haven't decided yet.
Squinky
Awesome.
Kyoto Kid
..decided on Da Brat. Here she is

OK, the last few sketches have been totally awesome, so I thought I would post a character or two for you to play with and see what happens with them...

Name: Kada Sanchez aka "Inquisitor"
Description: 5'7" tall, lithe and athletic build, she is half Native American (Zuni) and half Hispanic. She has brown eyes and brown, shoulder-length brown hair that has been twisted into numerous small braids, each ending in a small charm. She has a tattoo of a band of arrows encircling her right bicep and a medicine man eye tattoo on the back of her left hand. Dresses in camo clothing while on the job (tank top when she's not working).

Her specialty is firearms of all sorts and she rarely goes anywhere unarmed. While she does have some implantation, all of her modifications are subdermal, masking her edge.

Name: Derek Milner aka "Burn"
Description: 6'1" tall, stocky build, Burn is a Caucasian ork. His brown hair is short and unkempt and his yellow-green eyes always seem tired. His nose was previously broken and never set properly and his skin is weathered and scarred. He is rarely seen without one of his clove cigarettes perched between his lips. During a stint as cheap labour in Tsimshian, his left arm was lost in a mining accident. Mitsuhama paid for a replacement limb (since they ran the site and couldn't afford bad PR, even if he was an ork), but it was a cheap (and obviously cybernetic) limb and is bulky and clmusy looking. Burn has had numerous modifications to it over the years, adding to it's unwieldly stature. He dresses in jeans and T-shirts, covered in a bullet-hole riddled trenchcoat that he refuses to replace.

As his moniker suggests, he is a demolitions specialist. In a bizarre case of irony, he prefers dynamite, the explosive that claimed his left arm. He is also adpet with pistols and small automatic weapons. Since he not a real fan of his replacement limb, his implantation is minimal outside of it.

Take your pick (or try both...I don't mind. smile.gif ). Love your work, Squinky. smile.gif

SR13
Shev
I've got yet another character to add on to the pile, but I'm afraid he's rather, well, Bland.

Shev is an adept and a swordsman (Western style swords. Shev doesn't care much for ninjas, no matter how much he has in common with them). He is around 5'10", with a wiry build. Not overtly bulging, but obviously in excellent shape to anyone who knows anything about fitness.

He is usually wearing a kind of meshy hooded mask. Think glorified pantyhose, but not as tight around the facial features. He's in a Chameleon suit if he's working, typical wageslave clothes if not.

His face is pretty hard to describe. Curse his Blandness! His hair is mouse brown, and fairly short. It's not arranged in any particular style, but rather left to it's own devices. Shev just brushes it straight down, usually with his fingers, making it a bit tangled with a few hairs sticking up here and there. Nothing about his mouth, nose, ears, or any other facial features can truly be described as anything but average. Perhaps the most striking features are his eyes. A lightish blue, they can be piercing when Shev is studying something. Usually, he is cleanshaven.
Squinky
Hi all,

Been caught up with other projects lately and was enticed by the shadowrun swimsuit thread smile.gif, hope to get back to this soon, with a vengeance.
X-Kalibur
Take your time squinks, seeing as this is just a side hobby for you, lol.

You could always ask him to draw KK in a swimsuit. nyahnyah.gif

Maybe in the duet one with Skate, eh? Four guns, two girls, less clothes... Not a bad idea, if I do say so myself.
Kyoto Kid
...hmmmm.

She is fairly well "endowed", even if she is only 4' 10". Would show off the full back tattoo she has (I think I gave Squinky the detail on that on her description).

[edit]

That would also get a couple of humans on the board. Don't think there have been any yet...

...just checked.... Nope, not a one.

Here is a picture that I drew up for Nightlife a while back on commission, He gave me the go ahead to post here:

Nightlife's Characters

I had fun doing these two, but I have to admit I had a hard time not drawing in a katana or a cyber arm smile.gif

Kyoto Kid
...that is nice, very nice. I like the height differential. All too often, especially in comics, it appears all characters are all the same height. For example in X-Men Wolvie is supposed to be short (I believe about 5' 4) while Storm is at least 6 ft tall, yet they often look to be of the same stature.

This makes me feel good about the KK/Skate duo. I looked back at SD8685's original post but no height for Skate is given. I would imagine she is a fair bit taller than KK (can't be that many 4'10" gals running the shadows).
Squinky
Thanks Kyoto,

I notice the height thing pretty often and sometimes am tempted to ignore heights for the sake of the image. I can imagine the issue gets compounded in the small frames they have to present things with in comics....

The height thing was important to Nightlife, understandably, and if I remember right I got out a ruler on those two and did some figuring to make it more accurate.

Anyways, here is another attempt at Waregears characters, I am thinking they will be presented two at a time, hoping they turn out better that way:

Waregear's Jack and Gray Sketch

Hopefully this is a step in the right direction.
wargear
biggrin.gif

Jack is looking great. Very reminiscent of the hijinks of the old days. I can just imagine him convincing the much more staid Grey to go along with some oddball stunt.

Looks like a winner. Can't wait to see them inked.
Kyoto Kid
..now that is cool.gif.

These guys just ooze personality. I like the look Grey is giving Jack, who in turn appears to have either spotted a bonny fair lass, or a pub for a havin' a few rounds o' malt whiskey (or both?). These look like fun characters to run with. I can't wait to see the finished work.

...& we won't go into speculation if Jack is "regimental" embarrassed.gif
mintcar
The new toned style is awsome. The Markova pic is my favorite smile.gif. Always had a thing for petite women with the right amount of curves.

I just... wow squinky, I think this may honestly be your best work yet.
wargear
Outstanding.
Kyoto Kid
...noe 'at's absolutely smashing mate. I'll keep an eye out for 'ese blokes when I'm down at the pub tonight.biggrin.gif

Will there be a toned version forthcoming?)
Squinky
As always, thanks for the feedback. I prolly won't tone the image, and possibly the next couple images until I get caught up a bit more. I am lagging further behind on this than I ever wanted and the toning portion can take as long as the inks....

That said, I may do some up toned if the image calls for it, hope that works for everybody.

Squinky--Great work as always. I really like the expression on the scotsman's face, it brings him to life.

Thanks man.

Like the sketch, as to your question, motorcycles generally have 2 stands, a side or "kick" stand and a center stand.
marghos
Lets try this one. This is my first post here so if you forgive my english...

Raven

Elf (adept) female, age 20. Charismatic (kinesics and first impression), athletic, thief, face.
Background; former company kid who was left alone in the streets when her parents were killed. So young charismatic girl in the street of Seattle and she had to eat something... there was jobs like stripdance, escort, joygirl...

But now she is face/spec. op type runner...

Appearance: Long black hair (free or ponytail), littlebit native americanindian look, about 5' 9 and 122lbs (athletic dancer build), makeup maybe but NO tattoos, no visible scars (doesn't hide scars)
Wears usually urban jumpsuit when on run (but the clothing can be anything, showoff miniskirt, highheel shoes, boots, t-shirts etc. etc....) but when she negotiate deals she wears appropriate/convenient clothing.
Drives H-D Scorpion, uses Colt manhunter. Hmm ok she uses now also smg but semiautopistol is her mainweapon if we don't count her looks wink.gif.

...very Very nice. I like the Hog, the only kind of motorcycle to ride (Yeah, I come from Harley Country).

And once again, Armed with my favourite shootin' iron - The Super Warhawk.

Nice sketch Squinky!

Nice job with the bike and the dwarf! (I still wanna see more of them smile.gif . Do you think you could make his beard shorter and very "cleancut"? And the hat, do you think you could do a flat top (almost like a V-shape) instead of a round?

I can't wait to see the final result! BTW, I've shown the drawing of Crossfire, my first to lots of my friends and they're all jealous cool.gif

Thanks again!

Peace

Just for the record, Jack Flash's Flash family tartan is custom made with the primary colour being fluoro yellow. Jack eventually got his own trid show, going to weird and dangerous places with his corporate lawyer and camera ork and being filmed doing excessively dangerous, but fun, things...like dodging drone fire while skating down the side of the arcology, like visiting cannibal tribes, like mad dashes through bug city...the average lawyer lasts three episodes...fun stuff when a runner 'retires'.

...ahhh... the new wild west.

Once again excellent work, the proportions are right on. Seeing another dwarf character done so well just rocks totally.

I'll have to PM you with my MET2000 merc Gracie sometime, but you have too much on your plate for now so I can wait.

BTW, I like the Dwarf Adept on the swimsuit thread, legginess is far too overrated.
Crossfire
Exactly what I wanted! Great job Squinky!

Dwarves of the world unite!

Jumping around a bit, but here is X-kalibur's dood:

X-Kalibur's Lucien
Kyoto Kid
...been pretty productive, Lucien and Cadmus look great. Seems I get a broken Link when I click on "Trogo' Sketch" link it takes me to Wikpedia instead of Image Shack.

If you've been reading the Swimsuit thread. I actually sat down & did a swimsuit sketch of Leela that I am considering posting there. Guess I need to join one of the art sites like Image Shack or DeviantArt to do so though. First however I have to get a clean scan since the drawing is in pencil and I have a fairly light hand.

Hahaha, I love the expressions on the ghosts. It's perfect squinky, much thanks.

I just wanted to thank you again for taking up this little side hobby for us. It's been a lot of fun for me as well to watch your art evolve and I'm sure I speak for everyone involved when I say we love your work.
Squinky
Kyoto, it's good to hear that you are doodling again. I hope you can get to a scanner and get s good copy soon. I'd love to see it.

The Trogo image is being wacky to me also, I sent an alternate link of the sketch to Jame J and am awaiting his response.

X-Kalibur, I am glad you like it. I really enjoy doing these, if I had my choice I would just do them all day. So thanks for giving me a constant supply of work everybody smile.gif
Kyoto Kid
...the only thing I am not sure of is how to actually post the pic. I do not have a personal website and am not a member of one of the "gallery" websites like Photo Bucket, or Image Shack.

Is there a fee involved to join one of these?

It had a doubt http in it... here you go!

Imageshake is free as far as I know. I think you can just go there and upload anonymously or you can sign up with your e-mail account and get your own little space. I signed up so I can go back and dig through all my stuff. If I remember right you are big on personal privacy so its cool that you don't really need to sign up.

...Squinky

Thanks for the info. Actually if my email address stays confidential (like it is on this forum), that is not an issue then. I kinda would be interested in posting some of my older stuff from when my hands were a bit more limber. There's a lot from various other games I've played in the past. Everything from Fantasy to Futuristic SF (& of course Shadowrun - including my original versions of KK before she became the two gun Bushido Cowgirl).

I will most definitely check it out.
