You are about 500 meters away from the combat, which means you can barely see anyone, let alone a specific person under heavy cover, and your voice would be lost in the chaos.

That depends. Your description is lacking in details. Con hit the drone, but did he do any significant damage? Does Con still have it in sight, or is it taking evasive maneuvers requiring new perception rolls and image magnification actions?

Apologies, I lack an understanding of the battlefield layout. With the description available, theater of the mind has me envisioning all combatants in, basically, a straight line. That being, if Apep is taking cover from the Area Boys, then they're exposed to us from behind. What is the layout then? With the mage unexposed, can I switch targets to the Doberman?

That should take care of the mage, or at least keep him occupied for a while.

Sorry about spotty responses guys. Traveling holiday weekend, after starting a new job after moving to a new city after computer decided Bluetooth and wifi don't exist anymore.

The far end of the battlefield is the two buses that are blocking traffic traveling to the airport. They are aflame.

The Apep crew are in front of the buses, they have all taken cover, including the Doberman, behind cars and other solid objects.

The truck where Medjay is hiding is in the middle of the street about 10-20 meters in front of the Apep guys.

About 10 meters in front of him are the buildings being defended by the Area Boys. They are three and four story apartment buildings on either side of the street, with what was at least a dozen orks firing at Apep.

Then about 300 meters back from that are the runners.

Does the flare penalty also plays when you're not trying to see something, like if I just want to cast something internal to me.

If it isn't, I'll cast Trid Phantasm to get some reinforcements (or the illusion of such), otherwise I'll just dive for cover and try to figure out what's going on.

I would apply the flare penalty to that only because you need to place the illusion to have proper effect.

Meters from the ambush Apep set for Medjay, there is an Azzie goon that has been engaged with Bullet Storm. Torley and LH are behind the buildings to the west of the street trying to close the distance.
