Same happened to me years ago when I GMed a game here. I understand the needs of real life. Nevertheless, if this game has ended, we as players could search for something else.

Being a late-comer, I don't know if anyone on the team has any facility for removing explosives and such. Torley doesn't. The closest skill he has is Palming, but that is a serious stretch.

His view would be that the best thing to do would be to remove the map from the case before trying to disarm the incendiary.

I can't do anything about the explosives (except just take them off), but I might be able to hide the container with some magic. I'll look it up (I don't have my books with me, so it will be for Saturday or Sunday.

I take this to mean there is no real danger to the map. Is that correct?

There were SEVERAL cars, four to be exact. One's occupants are out of it for the moment. The rest are starting to pile out, but they are looking more confused than anything. You don't need any rolls to hop off the okadas if you are letting them go. They all look like local thugs, maybe even Area Boys. What do you want to do?

We have a case of tear gas grenades and some smoke grenades left. So we could just throw a bunch out and make a run for it in the chaos.

I am reminded of the old Charlton Heston Movie, "El Cid", in which the title hero is guiding the king's brother to safety when they are accosted by a crew of thugs sent by the king to murder his rival. El Cid tells them to stand aside and let them pass. They respond in astonishment that they are thirteen while he is alone.

Area Boys. Classic mistake. Had Torley waited to see folks step out of the cars, he would have known that the Command, and the sacrifice to empower it, would be wasted in English. Torley acts precipitously, not always thinking things through, but I let his humiliation at the hands of Englebrecht cloud his judgment, and mine.

Now, if the Area Boys don't speak English, and the Command couldn't affect them, then maybe Torley has a chance to yet again pull his ass out of the fire. At least the local one. I don't remember whether the Area Boys speak Igbo or Yoruba, but Torley walked their streets and would remember. Can you tell me, Crossbow, rather than I going back through the thread to remind myself?

However far Torley is able to move, he will distance himself from the other two, drawing attention to himself and away from the real firepower on the team. Whenever Initiative allows it, Torley will be Torley again.

There isn't really any cover, but if you are willing to try to sustain 4 sinvisibility spells, or summon a spirit with concealment, you can probably make that happen and just walk past them to the airport. The background count here isn't as bad as the city, but it's still at a 1.
