Keep in mind legwork via data search generally requires many more hits than trying to get information out of a contact due to having to sift through so much jumbled data online, and in most cases the highest level of information possible is not available through data search.

For instance, researching the Thaljun Cordex, 4 hits from a contact would get you "It's a collection of arcane tomes the last copy of which is rumored to be held by Horizon." The same information would take you 18 hits from a data search test. And no amount of successes would let you find the next step up of knowledge about it.

So, you'd need to roll at least one more test to find out that bit of fluff that you already know considering it was stolen by Acson from Horizon. But please do tell me if Needle got frustrated after the first 3 minutes of not finding anything concrete or if she continued in her searching. I'm playint it that Needle would just stop searching after a few minutes due to bumping around in a moving vehicle and trying to keep an eye on Acson and all. Not the best environment to be doing a data search, you know?

What exactly are you wanting to know? Acson seems to be telling the truth that he saw an opportunity to get a jumpstart in his career without having to pay Horizon back for the schooling at MIT&T they provided and the Scholastic Lifestyle Fund to go with it for the last 2 years.

You need to adjust your IC post some. Acson has never said anything at all about having a copy of the book in his head. You're making an assumption about it being in his head. He only said he has a copy of it. And if asked where it is he would say it is somewhere safe.

Not necessarily. He admitted to copying it, and he's got (at the very least) an internal commlink. Needle is making the assumption that his copy is on that. Your GM post indicating that he copied the Thaljun Cordex never mentioned if he stated where he had the copy or not.

Eclipse didn't even give directions to his place - he gave directions to the Stuffer Shack Elite ™ (The high class version of everybody's favourite stuff establishment), and is planning on walking a couple blocks. Both so Ascon and the team don't know where he lives, and so nobody he knows sees a clown van.

That's fine. He's just waiting on a gear order. Following that, the machine gun and trench coat will be left in the van and he'll head out in his "nice clothes."

Hmmm....I don't believe StufferShacks normally have ammo. It's more like a Walgreens than a full Walmart that has a hunting department. I'm willing to say this one has some ammo, but they would be required to sell only to people with the proper license for the weapon the ammo is used for. Any of you at least have a fake permit for your gun? I assume nobody has one for an LMG considering none of you own one.
