Yes. Absolutely. ...but only if you plan on never seeing us again, if there's any accountability that really hampers my "Sell all your stuff" plan. (Plan A)
...back to the planning though, as I understand it that's exactly right.
...but now that I've mentioned it, how strong does this separate winch assembly look? Does it say the weight rating? (Of the winch, not the microwire!) If it's 200lbs or more, we
could shoot the target and drag him to our building after Mr White rufies him. ...just throwin' that out there.
Unrelated, my thing got extended. I will have internet access Thursday, and then be (most likely) out of contact until Sunday evening. Sorry. D:

Ummm .. are we ALL going across this line to the other side ?
how the hell heavy is Gardner ? no offense if he is just big boned ! but how big is "Giant" ? 3M ? 4M ?
and sod the winch, what's the strength of the anchor on the grapple ?
(the rope is usually able to hold heavy stuff)
but we may have to adjust the plan to someone having to anchor the rope better on the other side so that the team can follow.

The description of the winch says it can pull "small objects". I wouldn't say it's enough to drag the target anywhere.

The line itself can hold 2000kg, and for simplicity's sake we'll say the grapple can hold the same. I'm pretty sure it can hold the group of you even with how much
Gardner weighs.
One question though...what order are you guys planning to slide down that zip line? If you're planning to all reach the other side and wait to drop to the balcony when the time is right, that means you'll potentially be slamming into each other, especially if somebody fails their skill test to slow down. That might hurt a little were
Gardner to be the last one on the line.

I have setup a drop line on our side if I can find a suitable anchor point.

You have no difficulty finding something stable to anchor the line too. the roof has heavy A/C units setup here, as well as the structure housing the stairs that provided roof access, etc. And I'm not going to require a skill test.
Grapple Gun uses the Exotic Weapon Skill. I'm going to say you automatically hit the building. So no worries there. But how well you roll will determine the location of the anchor and a glitch could warrant somebody noticing the noise of it embedding into the building.

Wait, your thinking about the weapon specialist shooting when your defaulting dice pool is
8??. Good lord, man.
I think the ideal set up for going across would be Gardner/Silas/TW/Eclipse. That way the heaviest/biggest people go in first to avoid any unnecessary squishing in case of glitching. We'll need to be overhead of the balcony at least 30 seconds ahead of time, I would think.
And I think Mr. White has the right plan for getting him out.

I'll call up my bound earth spirit to use guard on people if they aren't sure of their climbing skills. I agree with zephyr's order, although Gardner will let Silas go first if he insists.
Also, people can stay behind and go down the line on this side if they are really unsure.
I would suggest using the rope for Needle, if you're nervous about sliding down a rope, as what makes jumping with a parachute better? Again, I can have a spirit help make sure you don't glitch and fall.
Finally, because I don't want us caught with our pants down, I am counterspelling on the team. When Mr. White comes back in view I'll cover him too, unless I specifically don't have the free action to spare...

I should have told you about that when you used astral perception to realize the blue dragon has a physical mask spell on himself and that there is an illusion that the balcony look like it's covered in water.
Because I failed to mention it before now, it's not going to affect the Improved Charisma spell you cast on Mr. White. It's more that you would have to step through the barrier before any of your spells could affect people within it.

Around the time people start sliding down the zip line, he comes back within range for you. He's no yet over to the balcony. So no worries that he'll spot them just yet, but he is heading in that direction.
I have a question that is both IC and OOC.
QUOTE
"The job is an extraction, hostile, and you must begin in exactly fifteen minutes."
Now, if this were an actual job that an employer hired a group of skilled people to do, and he wasn't going to micromanage it to death, we'd wait until after this presentation, when the mingling started. Per his requirements, we've
begun the extraction. There are runners on a zip line, and White is in the building looking for the mark.
But I know how Shadowrun works. There's an equal chance that our employer will accept nothing less than Mr. White jostling his way through the quiet and dark hall, peering at people, trying to find the mark, while helpful and polite guards encourage him to return to his seat. Then when he finds the mark, he has to whisper to him "Hey, I know we're in the middle of a presentation for your benefit, but I need you to come outside with me for a minute. Its for something really important. No, no it cannot wait twenty minutes until after this presentation is finished." I swear its like shadowrunning is just a 2073 reality tv show, some weird version of Punk'd meets Jackass meets Candid Camera. The whole world must be watching us, laughing at us trying to meet these sometimes insane demands.
*cough* Sorry, I'm better now.
So, that question was: Are we supposed to yank this guy out right now, during the presentation? Or can we wait and grab him during the mixer bit?
