That is the most hilarious set of rolls I have ever seen. ...did you crit success the least wounded person?

"My shoulder's just a bit banged up chummer, there's no reason to... morphine drip? Seriously? And what... an electro-massage unit? ...a'ight."

versus:

"Gardner's bleeding out! OH NO WHERE'S THE HELLO KITTY BAND-AID"

Edit: Don't get me wrong, that's still an amazing set of rolls. Needle has definitely earned her post mission beer. It just amuses me that the dice gods declare the most wounded guy gets the least benefit, and the least wounded is healed the most.

Haha...I'm thinking the same thing. But sometimes that is just the way of the dice gods. Hopefully, Gardner can roll better for himself with the Magical healing.

The dice gods gave to me twice in this opener; they have now decided that my skills are better used in reverse fashion.

"I can't figure out why Gardner isn't getting better. I gave the other guy the morphine drip, pain killers, a sling, TLC, a massage, and a hot meal, and he's fine. Can't Gardner just heal through osmosis?"

Yeah, Needle hits the dice cap. I've got 14 in First Aid and/or Medicine, and with an R4 medkit and the bonuses I max out. So here goes nothing. And Invisible Castle is still down, so I'm still using the dice roller on my phone.

TW: 20d6.hits(5) = 8 hits
Silas: 20d6.hits(5) = 6 hits
Gardner: 20d6.hits(5) = 4 hits
Eclipse: 20d6.hits(5) = 11 hits

Sorry, Gardner. My iPhone doesn't like rolling dice for you. biggrin.gif

So everyone heals 4 boxes of damage, except Gardner who only gets 2 back. Hey, maybe it's because he was the only one healing Physical damage nyahnyah.gif

Yep. Since max healing is based off your actual skill rating. The Max number of boxes Needle was able to heal each of you was 4 and Gardner only get healed 2 boxes for the 2 net hits over the 2 threshold.
edit:Actually scratch that. Considering an untrained person uses the medkit's rating as his skill, I will let the max points of healing be based on the higher of the person's skill or the medkits rating. In this case, Needle was using a Rating 6 medkit, right?
So TundraWolf was healed 6 boxes, Silas was healed 4, Gardner was healed 2, and Eclipse was healed 6.

Indeed I am.

I will make a quick comment. Based on the observation that Gardner was the only one where you had to deal with Physical Damage, and the types of wounds Gardner was suffering from, it kind of makes sense that you healed him less. In this particular case:

....I started to write something and it turned into an IC post...

On my own Heal, I got 8 hits, but I could only possibly use 6 of them, because the 3 out of that 9 Physical damage I took in the combat was from my own spell. It is up to Slacker if we could have applied the First Aid to my drain damage or not. Like I was going to say earlier above, I came up with a decent explanation that I wrote out into an In Character post.
On the other hand, The drain on that spell was 5P, and I only got 3 hits to resist, so I take another 2 Physical damage after healing myself... But luckily it's a new, fresh wound so we can perform first aid again on it! I can't heal drain damage with magic, but mundane healing works just fine.

Now, for the others:

Tundra Wolf [5P->DV:3S] (-5 penalty from Cyber), 3 Hits. Drain: 3 Hits->No Damage; Tundra Wolf Heals 3 Boxes of Physical damage.
Wait... nobody else has taken Physical damage... The Heal spell only heals Physical Damage...

EDIT: TW, Needle would have probably been trying to heal your Stun damage to keep you from passing out. Also for reason noted above with Heal spell.

Well, I believe the current plan is to obtain an alternate form of transportation, and leave the heavily damaged bus here so it doesn't get completely totaled or draw more attention.

Silas seems insistent about wanting to run over to the Stuffer Shack to get some grub. Who all is going over there with him?

My plan is to nip out and .. yes .. get food... but also take my electronics kit and find a vehicle of large enough size for our needs and "borrow" it.

I may need assistance, I do not think we should linger here very long, just in case there is a trail.

And Eclipse and TW have a chance to rush out and gear up very quickly

Well, if you didn't catch it in the IC post, there is a vehicle of large enough size sitting inside the warehouse. It's even been troll modified to comfortably fit Gardner's giant bulk. It just happens to have the face of a sasquatch in clown makeup on the side of it.

A lack of city transport means you aren't likely to find another actual bus. And most cars around here aren't big enough for a group of 7 including a troll sized Giant. Even the SUVs would be extremely cramped getting the team and Acson into one of them.

I saw you put that throwaway in there, it seemed far too "obvious" a GM token to immediately take smile.gif but considering the options then that is precisely what we need.

Letting someone else get some IC time in first before I go monopolising things, I just have a lot of time to post lately as work is exceptionally quiet. so apologies if my post count rockets, I'm trying to hold back as much as my Sugar and Caffeine fuelled brain will allow .. You could post something in character about him messing with the various clown gear stored in the warehouse while the others are getting healed and trying to have serious talks about the plan going forward.

Well, in Horizon's mind, only complete idiots would assault their Splendor building and then go tooling around town in an obnoxiously eye catching truck. They'd likely never even think to look at the van with that being such a ridiculous idea.

Hell, if you all donned clown makeup, I bet it would confuse any facial recognition software they have scanning through the city's surveillance feeds.

Anybody else heading over to the Stuffer Shack with them?

To be clear on time it took you guys just over 40 minutes to arrive at this warehouse that's in the Renton district. You've spent 5-10 minutes healing up and stretching and what not.

Once you leave here, it will be another 20-25 minutes to get to the place Needle originally planned to use as a safehouse. That is if you go there directly. If you decided to pose as a kids birthday party clown and head to Eclipse's place you can do that without too much risk of getting KE called on you (just don't go around shooting off your guns and or running over pedestrians and you should be fine). It's about 15 minutes to his place and 15-20 minutes from there to Needle's safehouse.

I'm not sure if TundraWolf was also wanting to gear up or not. I don't believe the location of his lifestyle has been established either. You have any ideas on that front? Also, I may be willing to say one of your contacts is close enough to you that you could call them up to swing by your place and bring you some stuff, that is if you trust them for that. It's up to you.

I don't think I'm getting my point across clearly. There is NO safehouse where I was headed. The old correctional facility is where she parks the bus/house, providing services to the squatters there. There's no safe house there, unless you want to try and carve out a piece of the correctional facility for yourselves. I wouldn't, considering the go-gangers and squatters who have claimed it. Not to mention whatever residual background count might still exist due to the reason it is no longer a functioning prison.

The flicker to a blank face at mention of the Scion caught Mr. White's attention much as it did Gardner's. It made him begin to wonder just why Parker Acson is being so compliant. I mean Mr. White knows himself to be a damn smooth talker. But this guy hasn't asked a single question about who hired the team to "save" him or even what exactly he was being "saved" from. Mr. White specifically had left the details vague so he couldn't be caught up in tripping over his own lies.

The more Mr. White talks to Acson, the more certain he becomes that this guy isn't acting at all like a hostile extraction would. As Acson readjusts the old leather back he's been using to prop himself against the interior wall of the bus again, it catches White's attention. Wait, who brings an worn leather bag like that to a high profile executive dinner like the team just extracted this guy from?

TW's apartment is in Tacoma, I mentioned it once in the 1st mission. Sorry, didn't think to make that more clear.

Yeah, he'd want to gear up, but he's not letting anyone but him into his doss. Too paranoid by half for that.

edit: So, to be clear: Needle heals 6 stun, Gardner 3 physical. When the stims wear off, TW is sitting at 5 Stun and 2 Physical, total of -2 modifiers, very close to -4. Man, I might need to look into a pain editor for TW. biggrin.gif

You should only be at a -1 I think. You take -1 per 3 damage on a damage track. So that's -1 from the 5 Stun (very close to -2). And no penalty from the 2 Physical (very close to a -1).

Must have forgotten to make a note of your place being in Tacoma on my copy of your sheet. Oh well. Tacoma isn't too far from where you guys are in Renton. It's about the same distance away as Eclipse's place. Unfortunately, it's in the wrong direction. It's 10-15 minutes to the Southwest of your present location. Eclipse's place is almost directly North of you guys. And Needle's safehouse is to the Northeast.
