I have 127, but it's quite possible I missed something.

Okay, I am fairly sure 127 is right:

http://forums.dumpshock.com/index.php?s=&a...t&p=1104051 has us at 71 on September 7 2011, which is a Wednesday. The prior Monday is September 5, 2011. There are exactly 48 weeks from then to yesterday, so that's 119, and we got 8 bonus karma for the last mission completion, which is 127.

There's an extra 10 karma in there for the 1 year mark, which brings us up to 137. I flubbed up my math somewhere because I've got 142 noted, but I think you're right on the weekly total. x_x
Buddha72
The correct total is indeed 137. smile.gif
Fenris
Okay, so tossing out some OOC actions for the character.

Workshop Space - Warehouse in a C/D grade commercial area.
Garages - 4 different locations in B/C class neighborhoods, enclosed areas with basic necessities, with decent security (purchased as lifestyles).

Basic script that all vehicles/drones have loaded:

Scatter
  1. Vehicle will spoof it's access ID
  2. Modify it's license plate (RL and AR)
  3. Attempt a Covert Ops roll to 'drive casual'
  4. Plot a random route through Seattle that avoids A & B neighborhoods and will take approximately an hour to complete, starting with it's current location and ending near a designated parking garage in a C neighborhood
  5. Use sensors to scan all vehicles within 100m radius to try and identify any vehicle that has been within it's range for 3 scans, regardless of whether they're consecutive.
  6. Note all available info returned from sensors on that vehicle
  7. Transmit noted vehicle information to the commlink it's subscribed to.
  8. If attacked, burn actions to utilize Full Defense option.

Attack 'X' - Non-Lethal
  1. Spend a Complex Action to process the 'achieve sensor lock' test utilizing Fuzzy Logic and Adaptability components
  2. Attempt to achieve a Sensor Lock on target 'X'
  3. Switch ammo selection to clip previously designated 'Non-Lethal' if current ammunition isn't designated as 'Non-Lethal' and ammo that is designated 'Non-Lethal' is available.
  4. While target is still functioning in an active manner (something more than twitching or smoking), attack using all available weapons with designated 'Non-Lethal' weapons.
  5. Repeat previous step while valid

Attack 'X' - Lethal
  1. Spend a Complex Action to process the 'achieve sensor lock' test utilizing Fuzzy Logic and Adaptability components
  2. Attempt to achieve a Sensor Lock on target 'X'
  3. Switch ammo selection to clip previously designated 'Lethal' if current ammunition isn't designated as 'Lethal' and ammo that is designated as 'Lethal' is available.
  4. While target is still functioning in an active manner (something more than twitching or smoking), attack using all available weapons with designated 'Lethal' weapons.
  5. Repeat previous step while valid

Protect Person 'X'
  1. Spend a Complex Action to process the 'achieve sensor lock' test utilizing Fuzzy Logic and Adaptability components
  2. Attempt to achieve a Sensor Lock on target 'X'
  3. Move to remain within 5 meters of target 'X'
  4. If not currently engaging hostile, attempt Perceive in Detail, noting any objects or creatures moving towards target 'X' not on safe list as 'Potential Hostiles'. Note any object or creature directing an identifiable weapon towards target 'X' as 'Hostiles'
  5. If targets designated 'Hostiles' through scans or provided by the commlink you're subscribed to are within range of current active weapon, engage to best effect with current weapon, avoiding any attack which would include target 'X' or anyone on the safe list.
  6. Repeat step 3.

Using both the Non-Linear Junction Detector and the Radio Signal Scanner on myself and all vehicles/drones and equipment. Everything. Never trust a dragon, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup. All locations will be scanned similarly, and I'll use Electronic Tech, Vehicle Tech, and Rigged Security to make sure I'm not destroying any legitimate security installations.

The 'Seatt'e "Safe" Routes' knowledge skill is intended to provide info on routes around Seattle that are beneficial to your friendly criminal in some way...brief wireless dead spots, hidden alley's, sudden cross-streets and median breaks, overpasses and locations where visual surveillance can be avoided, that sort of thing. Basically, losing pursuit and/or law enforcement, or getting somewhere quietly in an non-standard route.

Wow. I think my dwarf hacker (Ferret in the Post or Die thread) just got his first lesson on rigging!
UmaroVI
Oops, I had indeed missed the anniversary bonus. Good thing someone else was nyahnyah.gif

Fat Man doesn't have time to pick up any more skills, but he will go ahead and specialize Perception (Visual) and Counterspelling (Combat).
Notsoevildm
Some rolls for Eklipse:

Being sneaky in the Looking Glass:
Agi 6 + Stealth 3 = 9d6.hits(5)=5 - I am invisible!

Perception tests for S-K goon, his surged gf, Katja:
Int 4 + Per 3 + enh. Per 2 + Actively looking 3 = 12d6.hits(5)=5, 12d6.hits(5)=4, 12d6.hits(5)=1 - Pretty sure no S-K goon or gf, hasn't spotted Katja.
Fenris
I think I saw you ^.^

Perception(4) + Intuition(3) + Visual Enhancement(3), and I do have Low Light. (10d6.hits(5)=5), even with pulling off the last two dice for distracted, if that's the case.

At least you won't be surprised when he says hello then!

Ok, so here's what I'm planning on doing for sure:

1-Increase Logic from 3 to 4 (20 karma)
2-Buy a Force 4 Sustaining Focus(Health) and bind it (16 karma and 40k nuyen)
3-Buy and learn Powerbolt and Increase(Willpower) (10 karma and 2.5k nuyen)

And if possible

4-Break my Sorcery skill group by increasing Spellcasting from 3 to 4 (8 karma)
5-Learn the specialty Spellcasting(Combat Spells).
Buddha72
Happy Monday all!

Add your weekly drip of 1 karma (bringing the total to 138) to your character. I will be out of town from Wednesday to Monday at GenCon (does a happy dance) so posting will most likely drop off during that time.

JxJxA your purchases and training look fine to me.

I think that wraps up everyone's training and buying for the two months of downtime - if not say something now because I will be bumping the thread forward tomorrow on to the next scenario.

Thanks for the feedback as well - very appreciated. smile.gif
Emilio
Obviously I have not been posting enough. Emilio is still around!

Emilio is good w/ guns. He also can play with explosives, working up from ingredients to making them go boom. He also has a good amount of first aid, to help treat injuries in the field.
Buddha72
Ok bump is out and underway.

I would like to take this moment to introduce a new player to the thread. He was a member of my tabletop group but sadly a recent move has left him without a gaming group so I offered him a spot here.

Everyone welcome Strangeglove!
Notsoevildm
Welcome Strangeglove, more meatshields, er team-mates always welcome.
UmaroVI
Is he a doctor?
BishopMcQ
I believe he's "Grenade Troll!!!," slaughterer of SUVs, destroyer of chopshops, and all around fun guy.
JxJxA
Okay, making some rolls for learning stuff

Starting with Improve(Willpower) because I get it sooner, then I'll do Spellcasting, then Powerbolt

Learning Improve(Willpower): Int(3) + Sorc(3) = 6d6
Day 1: 2 hits
Day 2: 2 hits
Day 3: 3 hits
Learn Improve(Willpwer) in 3 days

Raising Spellcasting from 3 to 4 (Need 4x2 = 8 hits): Int(3) + Sorc(3) = 6d6
Week 1: 4 hits
Week 2: 1 hit
Week 3: 1 hit
Week 4: 2 hits
Raise Spellcasting from 3 to 4 in 4 weeks

Learning Spellcasting(Combat Spells) specialty

Learning Powerbolt: Int(3) + Spell(4) + Mentor(2) +Spec(2) = 11d6 (I'll knock off the last 4d6 if these don't apply, but I think they do?)
Day 1: 6 hits
Learn Powerbolt in 1 day

Don't forget the whoring and drugs, it is a intricate part of his personality.

FYI

For those who don't know...

GT = Grenade Troll

That's your queue Strangeglove!

Buddha72
You probably guessed it, but I'm not expecting an initiative roll and a fight obviously, just some flavor.
Strangeglove
Hi everyone.

Snapshot bio:
Strangeglove is a teched-up troll-tank, fresh off the boat from the warzones of east africa, with an automatic grenade launcher and few marketable skills. He's young and battle-scarred, with a refreshing combination of paranoia and credulity. Sometimes Seattle feels just like home: You might have seen his "work" on the Shadowrun Music Video Network, Grenade Troll goes clubbing.

Strangeglove is a tall black troll. The fiber optics woven into his shoulder length dreadlocks slowly pulse through the rainbow. His left arm, when visible, is a black anodized cyberlimb of brutally functional slavic design. Strangeglove speaks passable english has a heavy east african accent.
Currently he is wearing a bulky brown leather bomber jacket over a shirt advertising the troll metal band Siebenbürgen. Gloves, boots, cargo pants, and a bag thrown over one shoulder complete the ensemble. Those with keen eyes and a suspicious nature will recognize the lumps and bulges of a man who knows where his towel is.
BishopMcQ
Strangeglove--you don't need to use quotes in the posts. Just add your reply with enough context that it makes sense.
Strangeglove
Bishop: Fair enough.

Buddha: Agi+Palming (8) = [4] successes to lift the commlink without anyone noticing.

Hamagen: Hope you don't mind me stealing the window dressing.
Hamagen
You call it window dressing, I call it "Stole from the wrong person Tax" smile.gif
Emilio
Did Emilio get any of the data from the clinic?
BishopMcQ
Cypher did not share it.
BishopMcQ
NotSoEvil--checking to make sure you caught the text msg that I sent Eklipse.

I had seen it but forgot to include a response in my reply. Updated post up.

Happy Monday all!

I'm at the airport waiting for the flight home. Had a wonderful time at GenCon (games, food, geeks, etc) and feeling the love of the gaming deep in my soul. As usual add 1 point of weekly karma for the week and add an additional 5 points (running total of 144) in honor of the 45th Annual GenCon. I went to some seminars and realized how lucky I have been with the players I have encountered here and at tables. My hat off to you for being (for the most part - a few bad apples always sneak in) wonderful participants in our shared story.

I am spending most of the today in transit and then tomorrow I am taking the kids to Disneyland to meet up with a good family friend and his kids so I will be bumping the thread on Wednesday. Before then can I get some posts here with your character name and a description of him/her. I also have one more new player I will be adding in this week so I want to get the info out there to ease the introductions and shortening the learning curve.

Thanks!

PS OK my flight is delayed so I had time to post today - bump is up!

PPS Make that two new characters to the thread and then I am closing this one off to new characters to see how we do with the new folks.
UmaroVI
Fat Man is a short, heavy, asian man, shaped about like a barrel with small legs but long arms. He looks to be about five feet tall, and probably over three hundred pounds. He has a short beard and pale, snow-white hair, except for some black patches on the sides and on his moustache. He looks like he’s in his 30s, although it’s hard to say for sure. His most noticeable habit is that he’s nearly always chewing on Betel gum or eating something, varying from junk food to soysticks to raw vegetables. He speaks fluent English with a Sichuan Chinese accent.
Emilio
Emilio is a blond, moderately-tall human (186 cm, 6'1"), weighing about 75kg (165lbs). For those of you who met him on the last run, he is no longer looking as gaunt as he was; he now looks lean yet healthy. He is clean-shaven and looks to be in his mid-20's.
BishopMcQ
Cypher is a sallow-skinned ork with hair just slightly too long to be groomed. His tusks have been capped and shortened to make them slightly less prominent. All of his clothes look rough and second-hand or highly disposable (press-flats and the like). He has an obvious datajack on his left arm, just in from the wrist.
Hamagen
Breeze is a human just under six feet and around 160 lbs. While he does not appear to be the strongest man, he body is very well taken care off and looks as if it could take a number of hits (and in some places looks like it has defiantly taken many hits). He has piercing in his lip, tongue, nose, lip and ears, in addition to plenty of tattoos running up and down his body.

His hair changes color every few weeks and changes styles from smooth to spikey, he speaks with a heavy British accent.
JxJxA
Zerone is a thin elf, short and with a slight build. He has longish brown hair, light blue eyes, and pale skin. He is about as non-threatening and non-assertive a person you will ever find, standing congenially, humbly, and timidly. Currently, he is clearly out of his element in the club (dressed in well-worn Sunday church wear instead of the flashy club gear). When he speaks, it is tentative. He is obviously still struggling with the language.

If you can astrally perceive, he gives off a potent magical aura (Essence 6, Magic 7). His mentor spirit, Follower of the Way, hovers in the distance. The spirit is a perfect, brightly shining sphere.
Notsoevildm
Eklipse is a night elf, so he kind of stands out with the dark blue fur. Think Nightcrawler from the X-men comics (not the movies) but without the funky hands or tail. His hair is dark blue/black and his eyes a dark sapphire. When he smiles, which is rare, his white teeth can be somewhat scary. Most disturbing of all are the shadows that seem to constantly wrap around him. Even in the brightest of lights, he seems to be in the shade.

He is an adept (magic 6) for those that can see the astral. They will also notice a lingering sadness / purpose to him.

Otherwise he is around average height for a night elf at 1m88 (6ft2in) and athletically built (around 85 kg). His age is hard to tell, although like all elves he looks young. He has chiselled Germanic features and his English while good, is rather accented. He typically wears a long coat or full armor and a motorbike helmet to conceal his features. However, when at the Looking Glass, he will be found in only slightly out of fashion club gear that shows off his furry frame and almost but not quite fits in with the locals.

On missions, he has a bad habit of ordering everyone around and then rushing off and getting himself shot, blown-up, tased or all three at once.
Fenris
Fleet is a hobgoblin, so a thinner and meaner version of an orc. Jet black hair, a thin but wirely build, and tusks inscribed with numerous phrases in Arabic that anyone who can read the language would be able to recognize as quotes from the Koran.

A few of them -
"86:11 For every soul there is a guardian watching over it."
"24:36 As for the unbelievers, their works are like a mirage in a desert. "
"21:311 Every soul shall taste death. "

He's dressed in a blazer and slacks, unarmored, very corporate, though those with decent Perceptions will notice the armored vest and the various smaller pieces of concealed armor strapped on under the clothes.
UmaroVI
In line with the IC post: Fat Man's spell list is Increase [Reaction, Charisma, Intuition, Logic, Willpower, Reflexes], Heal, Mind Probe, Physical Mask, Stunbolt, Soundwave, Powerbolt. His preferred spirit type to summon is Guardian.

In particular, the Increase [stat] spells are very low-drain, so if people need to make stat-dependant important skill checks linked to one of those attributes when we're not in the middle of a fight (First Aid, for example, or Disguise), Fat Man can help with those.
JxJxA
Zerone's spells are mostly combat-based: Armor, Increase Reflexes, Stunbolt, Stunball, Manabolt, Manaball, Powerbolt, Increase [Willpower], Increase [Charisma].

Here are the commlink stats: Novatech Airwave (Res: 3, Sig: 3) with Novatech Navi (Fire: 4, Sys: 4), sim module and trodes. I built this before I knew more about the ins and outs of commlinks, so I'd appreciate any input you have in order to make it a harder hurdle for hackers to hop. ^_^

Composure test for Eklipse:
Will 3 + Cha 3 = 6d6.hits(5)=2 - makes the threshold of 2, so doesn't do anything really silly.

Perception test, watching Widget:
Int 4 + Per 3 + Enh. Per 2 + Actively looking 3 = 12d6.hits(5)=5

Perception test, looking for Mr Rich:
Int 4 + Per 3 + Enh. Per 2 = 9d6.hits(5)=3
Strangeglove
Looking for aforementioned hostiles, eavesdroppers, and security: Int+Per+Enh.Per+Spec. Visual+actively looking (15) = 2 successes.

Distracted by the high concentration of shape shifters, Strangeglove astutely notes the subtle interplay of flashing lights and cleavage.
Fenris
lol @ Strangeglove. "2.5m tall troll, unsettled by the little 1.75m girl with neon hair. I like it."

And to be clear, please assume my whole long post was mostly after people arrived and throughout the night. I wanted to get it all out there, but I would have waited for the team to at least all initially arrive before I started talking.

Perception for Eklipse's reactions: Vision Enhancement(3) + Intuition(3) + Perception(4) - Distracted(2) (7d6.hits(5)=2)
Sync(1) (1d6.hits(5)=0) = Total 2.

Buddha72
Missed your rolls there sorry Notsoevildm - posting the results right now.

Fenris you notice something going on with Eklipse but are unsure what exactly and Cypher is not there with his meat body but rather in VR.

Strangeglove posting your results as well.
Fenris
Damn, right. Forgot about Cypher. I'll adjust the IC post.

Derersion, hostility, fear, concern, intrigue, or clinical interest he's used to, but she started talking to his arm. For all he knows she can make it answer.
His arm is both his strength and his weakness.

Also, if she turns into a monster Strangeglove is taking his grenade launcher and going home.

If you assense him now, you'll see concern and anxiousness weighing heavily on him with a recent wave of relief at Fat Man's words.

German (1) + Logic (5) = 3 hits

Language Table:
Intricate subject (almost any technical subject) 3

If I translated correctly I should have been saying...

German:Mach dir keine Sorgen, ich möchte nur suchen, und es gibt eine Menge zu sehen

English: Do not worry about it, I just like looking, and there is a lot to look at

German: Aber ich danke Ihnen für Ihr Interesse, Herr Eklipse

English: But thank you for the concern, Mr. Eklipse
