The IC thread started in Sept 16th so that puts us at 11 weeks plus the additional 10 puts you all at 21.
Buddha, as I kinda forgot to take perception, can I boost it up to 2? By my reckoning that should be 4 for level 1 and 4 (2x2) for level 2 = 8 total.
Buddha72
Dec 4 2010, 03:53 AM
Perception 2 sounds perfectly reasonable.
Anyone else?

Ok so it looks like we have a shortened list of players. The current roster is the following:
Eklipse/Notsoevildm
Fat Man/UmaroVI
Kat Doktor/WearzManySkins
Crippler/Saytr
Twist/Fyndhal
Zerone/JxJxA
Ayohuhisdi/Fenris
First off don't forget your weekly karma point for Monday and I am rewarded everyone who stuck it out with an additional 10 points of karma. Thanks for very much for the patience with the real life hiccup that interrupted the game.
I am inclined to hold off recruiting any new players till we drop below 6 players but I would like to also to let you all know if as players you decide you need a particular type of character/runner for the game going forward I would be open to posting a recruitment thread for character submissions of that type (ie you want a muscle troll who knows kung fu or a dwarf mage who specializes in healing magic) and would do it through IC posts to the thread. I have done it before with another game and thought it was awesome to see the roleplaying the ensued looking for a new teammate.
Ok throwing up the IC post right now.
Good point on our not having any Matrix support in the group now. I'd failed to notice that when you posted the above list. Relying on Widget as a GMPC seems like it could lead to compromises, though.
Buddha72
Dec 11 2010, 01:00 AM
Agreed - I leave it open for the players to recruit a matrix savy character. You all decide what you might need and post here what you would be looking for and then I would throw up a new recruitment thread for a player to fill your request.
Then some IC posts to arrange their introduction to the team and away you would go.

Dec 12 2010, 07:22 PM
As for the Matrix help, does someone have a Matrix contact we could hit up for the first job so we don't have to wait to recruit a player? But I agree, a player for the Matrix/drone/rigging support would be the best idea to avoid any issues.
As for my post, I'm going to continue to advocate against the "Shadowplan" sessions. Not that we need to be crazy and just kick down the doors all the time, but a cargo container doesn't seem to require the same amount of planning that a hardened facility might. Honestly, have any of you ever had a run go according to plan anyway?
WearzManySkins
Dec 13 2010, 04:07 AM
Kat has some skills in the Matrix, but not really good enough for a hard level matrix fight but low level one.
Let my think on this how he would bring this up.
Also maybe spending some karma.

Ok post up. I would like a post describing your departure from the site and then feel free to post what you're doing for the rest of the day before the run.
Post here any rolls you need or information for the run. I am going to assume you have your running gear on unless you tell me different. I will try to post this weekend but no promises it being Christmas but I can on Monday for sure.
I have a friend from one of my old tabletop games who I asked to join us and he knows the game very well (me understating) so I let him know you all need a rigger/hacker type and he is open to it. He has a trip out of town but should be able to join us in a few weeks so that seems to fit perfectly with this run concluding.

Can you give me any info on Looking Glass or Mr Bo Bo that I can use to write up just how much Elklipse doesn't fit in. If it's mentioned in one of the books that would be enough.
Buddha72
Dec 21 2010, 04:36 PM
No problem - the local is unique to my games. It is a club for young Changelings with a strong technomancer presence. It is like a stationary rave with the majority of its attendees begin SURGEd and prone to mood/mind altering experiences. The club itself has a strong and complex AR layer to it as well. Mr. Bo Bo - a changeling with strong simian features (to the point of having no shoes on to use his feet as an extra set of hands) is the head of security for the whole building which includes the underground parking and apartments above. He openly carries two heavily modified heavy pistols one of which has "Respect" engraved on it and the other "Courtesy".
More information would require rolls of Knowledge skills but that covers what you can find out anywhere or just by being at the location.

Since I was dumb and bought a jacket Zerone can't wear, is it okay if I have him pick up buy a leather jacket customized to look a little like a pat coat? It's only 300 nuyen with an availability of 2.
Fenris
Dec 25 2010, 06:29 AM
Not sure what a pat coat is, but a leather jacket has an availability of -- and a cost of +200

, meaning you can just pick it up in a store, since it's a legal, uncontrolled good.

Pat coats look like a priest's coat (o
r like the coat Neo wore in The Matrix Reloaded). I was thinking about
Father Abel from Trinity Blood when I came up with Zerone, so I thought the look would fit him.
Thanks for answering the Q, Fenris!

My posting will likely be a bit sporadic over the next 6 weeks -- I'm taking a new job and likely moving across country (the front runner position is 3000 miles from here) so, I'll be away from the computer and generally pre-occupied.

Fat Man's setup for the docks is as follows (Setup 2):
Fat Man is sustaining a Force 5 Physical Mask spell that makes him look like a very sleepy Chinese dock worker. It also hides all of his weapons and armor. He also has a Force 6 Increase Charisma spell active, which gives him a modified 9 charisma. He has 2 personally sustained spells (so -4 on tests).
Discrete form-fitting full body armor and SecureTech PPP worn under Vashon Island Steampunk line, completed with a armored top hat, carrying a Ballistic Shield.
All fetishes foci carried and active; Sustaining foci hold Increase Reflexes, Logic, Willpower, and Intuition (Force 3).
Telescoping Staff (collapsed, but if he sees that he's obviously about to need to fight, he'll extend it.
Commlink: MetaLink with Vector Xim and Skinlink.
Rating 4 Goggles with Image Link, Ultrasound, Vision Enhancement 3 (Note: these are one-way mirrored, and are designed with a steampunk aesthetic).
Rating 3 Contacts, with Image Link, Flare Compensation, Low Light Vision
Ratiing 3 Earbuds with Audio Enhancement 3
Betel gum (currently he has 18, and he's using one during the run)
UmaroVI
Dec 28 2010, 01:19 PM
Fat Man's prep: most of his spells are already in his Sustaining Foci. He needs to summon a spirit and activate Physical Mask and Increase Charisma.
Summoning a force 5 guardian spirit:
Summoning (1) + Specialization (2) + Mentor (2) + Power Focus (4) + Magic (5) = [14 dice, 4 hits]
Spirit's resistance: [5 dice, 2 hits, 2 services]
Drain resist: Intuition (6) + Willpower (5) = [11 dice, 5 hits, 0 drain]
The spirit is going on standby.
Activating Increase Charisma (Force 6]
Spellcasting (6) + Magic (5) + Power Focus (4) = [15 dice, 4 hits]
Drain resist: [11 dice, 3 hits, 0 drain]
Retrying: [15 dice, 6 hits]
Drain resist [11 dice, 4 hits, 0 drain]
Activating Physical Mask (Force 5)
Spellcasting (13 dice, 8 hits (capped at 5))
Drain resist [11 dice, 4 hits, 0 drain]
Fat Man felt surprisingly well after activating all those spells. He decided to celebrate with a Chupacabra Gordito Supremo Nachos from the local Stuffer Shack instead of resting off the drain like he had planned, whee!

Fyndhal Congratulations on the new job and thanks for the heads up about posting.
Everyone else - don't forget your weekly drip of 1 karma. Improve Knowledge Skills:
Medicine from 4 to 5
Genetics from 4 to 5
Cyberware from 4 to 5
Bioware from 4 to 5
Total 20 karma spent.
Now I am not clear what I would need to roll for the tasks on each team member using visuals alone
Race
Sex
Cyberware
Bioware
Geneware
Health
Yes I know it will not be easy but at this stage of the relationships, I think a full diagnostics scan is just way out of the park.

Dec 29 2010, 05:13 AM
Umaro just reminded me that I should probably start casting my sustaining spells as well.
Casting Increased Reflexes at Force 3:
Spellcasting(3) + Magic(6) + Power Focus(3) =
12d6 for 3 hits. Transferring spell to sustaining focus.
Resisting Drain of 3:
Willpower(4) + Charisma(5) =
9d6 for 4 hits.
Summoning Fire Spirit at Force 6 after sunset:
Summoning(3) + Magic(6) + Power Focus(3) + Mentor(2) =
14d6 for 7 hits.
Spirit's opposed roll at
6d6 for 1 hit.
Resisting Drain of 2:
Willpower(4) + Charisma(5) =
9d6 for 5 hits.
The spirit owes Zerone 6 services. He will thank it and put it on standby for tonight.
Fire spirit: An archangel from the Fire Sphere of Michael

About the only things you'd be able to tell visually about Twist are her Wired Reflexes and, maybe on a really good perception/analysis role, Bone Density augmentation.
Gear-wise, Twist is taking her standard layout.
JxJxA
Dec 29 2010, 06:17 PM
WMS-Zerone has no visible augmentations. Just a regular Elf who suffers from asthma and a weak immune system. If there are ways to ID clones, then he has all the tell-tale signs.
Buddha72
Dec 29 2010, 06:23 PM
WearzManySkins You could see any obvious mods but you would need a cyberware scanner to notice anything internal or made to look like normal (eyes, eras, etc). I agree Wired Reflexes probably gives itself away with the body movement.
ALL Please post any obvious mods you have in the OOC thread please.
JxJxA Armor spell creates a visible glow. How are you avoiding being seen making your way to the meeting place? In a vehicle you should be fine assuming it's not a motorcycle.
All Mage Types Please remember all spells and foci require a license. Combat spells are forbidden from non-military/security personnel. Fake IDs with licenses are one way around this if you need to get around legally. Bear in mind security forces with an Awakened component may investigate your super charged astral self cloaked in several high powered spells.
Ok throwing up a post right now.

Dec 29 2010, 09:31 PM
Oops, I didn't realize that about the armor spell. I'll drop it and recast later, since Zerone is probably taking a bus and hoofing it from there. Buying a Dodge Scoot or a Honda Spirit will probably be on Zerone's to do list after this run.
