I hope everyone had a another great holiday weekend and is enjoying the day off today. As usual add the 1 point of weekly karma to your sheet.

I threw up a post in response to UmaroVI (thanks for posting) and I will be looking to bump you all to a few hours before the meet once we wrap up this RPing bit.

Fat Man is going to be casting Increase Charisma on Zerone for summoning fun times. Casting at force 7, 15d6, 7 hits (I think Zerone is capped at Charisma 12 though). 11d6 drain soak, 3 hits, so he's fine (only 1 drain for that). Fat Man will sustain it long enough for Zerone to summon a spirit, and then drop it.

Summoning a Force 5 guardian spirit with the optional power Concealment. It rolls 5d6=2 hits to resist, Fat Man rolls 14d6=4 hits to summon, 11d6=6 hits to soak drain, so he's fine.

Here goes something (hopefully):

Summoning Force 7 Fire Spirit:
Magic(7) + Conjuring(3) + Mentor Spirit(2) + Power Focus(3) = 15d6 for 4 hits. Edge rerolling misses for 4 more hits. 8 hits total
Spirit's opposed roll: 7d6 for 2 hits. Phew. 6 total services
Resisting Drain: 2x(2) = 4S
Willpower(4) + Charisma(12) + Centering(1) = 17d6 for 8 hits.

Buddha--To confirm for the Doctor, will a video recording of her death be sufficient for the bounty, or do we need something physical (ear/head/tongue etc)?

Team--Let's layout the goals for this assignment:
Primary:
Save Emilio
Kill all the staff
Don't Damage the facility
Take the Right Hand of each person (is this a requirement--looks like it was for the dock job)

Secondary:
Collect data from the computer about final disposition of certain patients
Kill the evil Doctor and provide proof of demise

Are there other goals, side projects, computer data needed? Saying it now will help me plan out what Cypher needs to get done inside the computer.

Looks about right to me. Zerone is going to try and save/spare any of the victims trapped in the facility, and I'll make sure he mentions that before the run.

The right hand was only a requirement for the dock job. As to the good doctor you will need to provide a body to collect the bounty or video and a part she would find it hard to live without such as her head, heart or brain as an example.

The reason I want to send the Guardian spirit with the backdoor team is that it has Magical Guard. We'll have both mages on the frontal assault, so this way we have Counterspelling on both teams just in case.

Front door team--which of you doesn't have Gremlins? Buddha allowed me to be able to tell, since I was futzing with your commlinks etc to setup the tacnet. I'll post IC but basically I want one of you to slap the tacnet on Emilio since I'll be doing electronic stuff.

Zerone doesn't have gremlins. I don't really have any tech skills, though, so he might not be a good choice if he has to make a roll.

Fat Man does have Gremlins. Cypher can probably tell that Fat Man treats his commlink like a magic box, with mixed results.

Buddha, I can't remember if you ever answered Umaro's question on the magnitude of the mana background count. I looked for an answer in the OOC thread, but couldn't find it. I had my guidance spirit make an assensing roll of the area and got 7 hits in this post. Did we get any info on how big of a hit we're taking to our magic or are we casting blind? nyahnyah.gif

Okay, rolling some spells before we start.

Casting Increase Charisma at Force 7:
Magic(7) + Sorcery(3) + Focus(3) = 13d6 for 6 hits. I'll take it (though I'll probably rue the choice not to try and max it out).
Resist Drain: (7/3)-2 = 1P
Willpower(4) + Charisma(11) + Centering(1) = 16d6 for 6 hits.

Casting Increase Reflexes at Force 3:
Magic(7) + Sorcery(3) + Focus(3) - Sustain(2) = 11d6 for 6 hits. I'm sensing a trend...
Resist Drain: (3/2) + 2 = 3S
Willpower(4) + Charisma(11) + Centering(1) = 16d6 for 6 hits. ...uncanny... That's five in a row off of Invisible Castle according to the urls (I accidentally rolled 13d6 for my resist drain roll and ended up with another 6 hits). Dropping it into my sustaining focus.

I'm ready to rock and roll in the front (if by front, you mean peeking out from behind a corner and furtively tossing stunballs/manaballs... nyahnyah.gif)

Happy Tuesday all! Add your weekly drip of karma as always. I have thrown up the IC post moving you to just outside the clinic and ready to hit the place - hopefully successfully.

Correct on the background count being 1 inside the clinic.

JxJxA--The patches for Emilio are RFID tags with small sensors in them. Peel and stick to make it easy.

@ Buddha: I'll try my hand at a perception test. If it looks dire, I can have Isabela take a look (though I'd like to save her services for dispensing divine punishment upon the wicked).

Perception(Visual):
Intuition(3) + Perception(2) + Vis Enh(3) + Tacnet(2) - Sustain(2) = 6d6 for 1 hit and 2d6 for 1 more hit from the Tacnet dice. So I see just a few more grease spots than Cypher does... nyahnyah.gif

I also have Broad Auditory Spectrum(High Frequency), so might be able to pick up sounds that are otherwise out of normal hearing range.

And to differentiate from the flavor text, turning on the ruthenium, going stealthy, and I am actually going to be holding my breath unless otherwise noted wink.gif Let me know when you need a stealth roll.

Yes, TacNet is operational, and causing my AIPS to act up.

At the moment everyone is getting a +2 dice bonus and tactical information about the other team members. The tests that the bonus can apply to are covered on UW, p. 126

Okay, cool. Edited my visual perception test to include the extra dice and got one more hit. I'm attributing his success partly to his overwhelming feeling of being slightly out of place in this group, and partly to his desire not to flub this run up. nyahnyah.gif

Also, the BGC will knock Fat Man's shen to force 4, so it can only Concealment four of us. Fat Man, Zerone, and Cypher are definitely getting covered. I think the fourth should be Eklipse, since I think Ayo has a huge Infiltration check already, but I can switch that if I mis-remembered.

Buddha--From what I can tell with the cameras, are they watching both doors or focused on the front? Any blind spots that we could climb up/levitate without being on camera?

BishopMcQ - the angle leads you to believe they cover each door and the area around it to see people as they approach the door. Going up and over is an option.
