I assume we know each from the Corp we work for maybe a little bit?

So if we haul ass out of here, the incoming island security force will find these locals and find out about us... anyone want to try to befriend these local? maybe bribe them they never saw us?
They might can help us find a way across the island or place to hide from the incoming security force.
(if the incoming aerial units are island security... this is just a hunch)

I don't think we need to give away our location this early and start a fire fight and alert them.
