Incase any one was wondering, no i havent vanished again
. Bandit asked me to do some fill in post for Knight while he's absent and there is quite a bit i`m playing with for an interesting read, sadly there is also quite alot of RL work also demanding my attention. Hopefully tomorrow or monday will see a sizable and enjoyable (and Large) post from me for Knight, as I`m taking all the bits and peices requested and maing it one big post.

ok question:
Given that this resturant is a hangout for mob enforcers, clearly this means starting trouble in here is ill advised. But what does this mean in terms of bringing guns in (covertly?)
I figure between Daedalus and Dragon, they should know the mores about this sort of thing.
Daedalus is carrying an SMG btw, with a long coat so.. should give him concealibility of 7...
yeah... so like I guess I wanna ask how MUCH of a faux pas is it to bring guns like this in... somewhere between "nobody cares b/c you'd be stupid to try anything" to "NO guns allowed... except for us"
especially given the idea that D&D are trying to make chummy with Vinnie..
thoughs?

ronin, you're currently being shadowed by Shadow, who should have the answers to your questions.
Sort of alive is good, paul
I guess you missed the posts on p.63 where
WinterRat and I sort of NPCed that call? (He was aiming to get my PC freed up, so I wasn't waiting on the call.) It'll be easier keeping track once I'm webbing caught up -- trying to get somewhere with that today. So far I've only lost an hour of work once, when the programme blinked and lost the temp-saved file.
Fortunately, you and I aren't contradicted yet
The substance of
Blaze's initial statement is the same in both posts: we'll just use yours over WinterRat's.
Alleycat's initial answer (Jun 29 2005, 05:38 AM) works well enough for both: keep it as is. (I've re-posted it after yours, to make things easier.)
Where we go from there is up to you. (It helps that it's doubtful that any direction you go will alter
Alleycat's immediate actions.) If you choose differently than we did, I'll just overwrite what was written previously to respond to what you write now; or another alternative is a later call-back. It's your PC, your choices.

Jul 4 2005, 12:54 AM
heh, yeah, I definately missed it, need to get these eyes checked... again.
The NPC'd stuff looks fine, I reposted it so that it flowed a little better, rather than being a single post in space, and did a few non-substantial edits for how I think of Blaze as speaking, mostly because I'm kinda OCD about that, at least when there's a good spot to make those edits.
Ok, now, to move forward, or at least try.

Squeezing in some responses over my vacation (sneaking away from the family)
Sedna- Go ahead and reply, and I'll reply to you as soon as I can
Slip- Still not waiting on me are you?
Scrap- Go ahead and write up the discussion with Slim Jim. He'll have a Brain Eater willing to work with you. Also, Finn will call you back with a decker who's willing to work for you. The Brain Eater will work under the same terms you mentioned to Finn, the Decker Finn has wants a 50% nuyen increase. However, the decker from Finn is at least slightly experienced in the field whereas the Brain Eater is pretty new. Don't worry about names for now, but the Brain Eater is a 'he' and the decker is a 'she'.
Paul- Go ahead and write yourself to the meeting with the PI at the Food Court. The guy is a big troll who'll introduce himself as "Klaus" and dresses like a film noir PI. I'll reply to you from there.
Shadow- Need anything from me?
Paul and Scrap- Do either of you need any more details from me? That should give all of you at least something to work with until I get back this weekend. Let me know if any of you need any more details.

It's a food court in a mall (forget exactly which one and don't have time to look it up, but I believe the PI specified it as the Renton Shopping mall? check me on that) beyond that, make it up however you like.

paul,
this may help.
Sorry, everyone: I'll have to do karma as a two-shot again. It's been (another) week (scrambling for rent) -- and additionally for a few weeks now Dumpshock once again has started kicking me out literally at the point of log-in: I had to log in four times before I could get the reply screen, and twice more before I could get this single message posted. We already know
it's the old server, so it's just a matter of dealing until the server can be properly replaced with a working server.
The losing posts issue is related. What I've found helps is that even when the post doesn't appear (and
that happened with this one too!), the last revision of board code hangs onto the post, so long as you don't go past that page: I've been able to access it via a small window, or use "Back" to access it directly.
And I'm now noticing that at different points I've almost lost a couple of my posts again, so a warning to all: to always check that your post exists first before switching away from that window. As long as you're still on that window, you can recover it -- but not after you leave it.

WinterRat - I am pretty much just waiting on Scrap at the moment. I don't want to post anymore, since that will just keep pushing the time back further. I am not really waiting on you, unless you want to add any replies to the various emails that I have sent out in the past couple of game days, but with you on vacation, I figured I would just hang out until Scrap is ready for our meet.
Only bummer is loss of Karma for not posting, but that isn't really all that bad either.
I am still trying to figure out how I am going to rescue Keira with only the day and a half window that I have given myself.

Okay, peoples: "Seattle, UCAS" isn't really helpful as a location designator, you see why?
So from now on, could everyone try to include, in the location part of their post, at a minimum which district your PC is currently in? preferably a specific neighbourhood as well?
And, if you should happen to also know the address you're currently at (grendel's PCs!), that would be great! (grendel, whenever you've given an address in-post, I've been trying to backtrack it to district/location: but that takes much more time than linking it in the first place, even with maps.google. If you've got specifics, I'd appreciate them.)
Here's a
map to help you out, one of the best I've found on the web for this kind of thing.
In the process of overhauling and consolidating (webbed) timelines, in some cases I've tentatively assigned some locations for people's apartments and such (see list below), based on how you've described them or your PC's personality: but it's possible you might vehemently object to my choices (or maybe you wrote something different into some version of your PC off-line); in which case, just tell me what you'd prefer, and I'll change it
This list isn't complete by a long shot! It only reflects active PCs as far as I've gotten (which, I'm recognising, isn't very [sigh]).
- Andie's Low Lifestyle apartment, Tacoma (neighbourhood tba)
- Land's End magic shop, Auburn (neighbourhood tba)
- the future "Reflecting Pool" magic shop (Downtown neighbourhood tba)
- Tenmou's apartment: Issaquath, Renton
I have no clue where
Blaze's place might be, paul, except that I'm virtually certain it couldn't be Puyallup or Redmond -- too "clean" astrally. (Location might also be relevant, per events such as that random fireball shot into the air
)
If your name isn't on this list and you haven't already specified location in-post, please let me know? either here on this thread, or at
litsproject@yahoo.com? (All this says I, as
Alleycat, who still doesn't know into what neighbourhoods the
Last Drop etc. fit into!)
This concludes the latest Declaration/Request from Sedna, who's been fighting/coaxing the server something fierce to get this post out at all.

Ack, no!
I'm just looking for district and neighbourhood, with address if it happens to exist. It's because I'm looking at who is where, when: and what are the odds of incidental encounter? or even random spotting or overhearing? (After all, we have a rather perceptive bunch, here!) You might see what I mean better with
this part of the co-mingled timeline (finally almost completed! this part's missing only

I haven't actually posted where, but I was thinking in Snohomish, but in the area closer to the rest of Seattle, basically the edge between where farms start and where the larger buildings, like his apartment building, end.
Oh, and in terms of the post dieing, it was entirely from my end, I was most of the way through the post when my comp died on me, thereby killing the post. I've yet to have any real Forum issues, lucky me I guess.

Greetings everyone! I have returned! Actually I got back into town early yesterday evening, but I wanted to wait a bit to announce my presence. During that waiting period I managed to catch up on the pile of work-related email waiting for me, as well as read through all the excellent posting that has occured during my absence. I am still working on the load of LiTS-related email. Several notes for you all . . .
Moirdryd and Erebus: I'll hand out a large karma award on this upcoming Sunday. Moirdryd, I like what I've read thus far . . . good stuff and exactly what I had in mind when I left you with those points. I'd like you to go ahead and finish those points, since it seems that you've already done quite a bit of brainstorming. Let me know if you need anything from me of course.
Sedna, Winterrat, & ronin: How should I jump back into taking control of
Virgil? I do not want to wade incorrectly into your carefully laid posts. If you could provide me with a suggestion as to where I should jump in, that would be most helpful.
*BTW. . . great job playing
Virgil to all of you, I think the three of you do a better job than I do with my own PC
Sedna: What is the force and type of spirit that
Virgil summoned (even though I'm almost sure it is a city spirit)? How drained is he at the moment? Also, is there anything abnormal about the current headache that
Virgil is suffering? Or at least abnormal to the degree that he'd be able to take notice of?

Still not back yet, but popping in again quickly to keep the ball rolling.
Sedna- Ball's back in your court.
Paul- Go ahead and write it up, as soon as I get back I'll reply.
Slip- Yeah, anything I do would keep pushing you forward, so we'll just wait on Scrap.
Scrap- Post up to contacting the kid, and then I'll post his reply so you can get a feel for him as a person. After that, you can reply to what he says and then take it right to calling back Slip. Let me know if you have any questions with that sequence.
Bandit- Go ahead and post an astral recon for Virgil. Dragon and Daedalus are already inside.
Ronin- Are we going to make our move BEFORE Cedric and SR13 approach Virgil, or AFTER?
Shadow- Can we see Tenmou approaching Vinnie? We're obviously watching and he probably stands out. If we can't tell he's approaching him, then the point to Ronin is obviously moot.
Everyone- Look for me to work on catching up over the weekend (I'm getting back late friday night). If you have any questions/issues/comments/stuff, hit me up with a PM, email, or in the OOC thread and I'll look for it when I get back.
Moirdryd- I know you're at least from England, hope all's well with you and yours. Everyone who has friends/relatives/anyone significant in your lives in London, I hope all is well with you and yours as well.

Sedna- Are you asking about the size of the package, or the size of the truck? If you're asking about the truck, refresh my memory please, what size truck did you ask for again from Durin? I remember you asking about several trucks from several sources, so assistance here would be helpful.
As far as assensing- He looks completely mundane. Ordinary guy, nothing special whatsoever, except for a bit of excitement and anticipation at the prospect of taking an attractive woman out for a date.
Sedna
Jul 10 2005, 11:42 PM
Well, at least it's now more likely that he doesn't have cyber, and he's not a shapeshifter
Truck + goods I'd been phrasing together as "package", thinking that it should all be able to fit into the truck? and then the two trucks are all she'd have to find storage for? By asking, she's also looking for confirmation that it was the same kind of equipment originally mentioned in
Salvation. (He might not have been able to come up with everything he originally declared?)
I'm seeing three options:
- Durin brings them separately to whatever location Alleycat states;
- Durin calls Alleycat in, and each of them drive a truck there;
- Durin has arranged drivers (least likely?)
Oops, add a fourth:
- Durin tells us where the trucks are, it's up to us to pick them up.
I think I overlooked that last one because "tell me where you want it and when, and I'll get it to you" sort of implied he was going to take a more active role. Hope that's an accurate understanding.
