Sedna ONLY-
[ Spoiler ]
He'd recognize you as Sal, since he was astral the whole meet last time. Technically speaking, you can stop him because you have masking, but I'm assuming you WANT to be seen as Sal? In which case he would recognize you because that's who you're projecting as an image right now.
Unless you're bothering to hide it, I would personally rule that since he spent considerable time in Sal's presence while astral he could recognize her without a roll, barring active interference on your part. Sound reasonable to you?
It's a brief delving into masking and identitites, we might need to hash it out in more detail later, given your penchant for switching selves, but for now I personally think this answer suffices. Unless you have a problem with this current interpretation, I'd run with it from here.

Perception Test: 16, 07, 03, 03, 02
Aura Reading: 16, 08, 04, 03
I am going to make my summoning roll if you don't mind. It should be happening soon so I thought I would get the rolls out of the way.
Summoning Force 6 City Spirit
Conjuring: 10, 07, 05, 02, 01
2 Successes = 2 Services
Drain: 3M(stun)
Charisma + Gargoyle Modifier: 07, 07, 05, 05, 04, 03, 03, 01, 01
No Drain taken.
Did I do all of that correctly?

Slip- On projecting, you see the two guards sitting in the front lobby eating donuts, drinking coffee, watching TV, and generally in a pretty nonchalant state of mind. Nothing else is out of the ordinary or different from your first pass through.
For your drain test, the drain TN for conjuring is equal to the FORCE of the Spirit, so in this case, the TN would be 6 and you would only have 2 successes, for an L Stun. You may use karma pool if you wish, or else you have an L stun.
Sedna, Paul- For the time being, treat Tin Star as an NPC until we hear otherwise regarding Digital's return.
Scrap- Regarding vehicle ID, your van isn't exactly high tech. Assume between you and Iris, you can remove the plates, transponder, etc.
paul_HArkonen
Jul 30 2005, 07:04 PM
the force of the spirit can only be 3 (half my magic rating).
And unless I miss read it should be force + hours of existence in this case 2.
Therefore, unless I missed something (and I may have) it would be TN 5.
Either way if I had a light stun it's been over an hour of non-strenous activity (meditation and driving) since so I think the stun would be gone... (again, my memory of rules is likely faulty so correct me if I'm wrong.
Oh and Body Test to heal the stun if it exists: 07 05 05 02
I can accept either one, but whichever it was the stun should be gone by the meet.

When layering armor, you halve the lower value before adding it. In this case, the form fitting impact halves to .5, which rounds to 0. No benefit. You're looking for 12s to soak. Go ahead and reroll with karma.

I will reroll when I get home in about 3 hours. Do I need one success or two to drop it down? And has my Karma pool refreshed (do I have 1 or 2 to spend)?
grendel
Aug 2 2005, 03:06 AM
Sorry, I meant 12s as in the plural of 12. The damage code is 12M, and you need two successes to stage it down to L. Your karma pool has not refreshed.

Slip and Scrap- Roll initiative please
Guards Resistance Rolls, Willpower (4) at TN 5:
Guard 1: 21 05 05 05 (sometimes being a very good dice roller can lead to very interesting outcomes) = 4 successes; zero net successes for Max, he’s completely unaffected by the spell
Guard 2: 05 05 02 01 (and sometimes it doesn’t make the slightest bit of difference) = 2 successes; 2 net successes for Max, spell is staged from S to D, Guard 2 is unconscious.
Guard 1’s initiative roll: 9
Oh, and roll surprise as well.

Oh yeah. Bastard's char and mine walked into a mexican standoff, and then Ecce's got into it and promply got kicked out of it. He's probably the safest of us all. Kinda snowballed from there into air-timed concussion grenades. I'm still wondering how we're going to get out.

RE, Scrapheap, TN usually 4.
That makes what, at least five pitched battles between the 6th and the 11th?
- outside Tommy Wong's on the 6th (morning)
- Puyallup, street clinic, on the 6th (afternoon)
- Auburn, inside the Spaghetti Palace, on the 7th (evening)
- Redmond, at the Respite Soup Kitchen, on the 8th (morning)

Scrap- You cannot have more combat pool dice than you have base skill dice, so in this case you are limited to 4 combat pool, hence I will need a reroll.
For planning purposes, he has partial cover (+4) from being behind a desk. No visibility modifiers, so your TN will be:
Base Range: Short = TN 4
-2 Smartlink
+3 recoil
-3 recoil comp
+4 partial cover
-1 target stationary
Net TN: 5
And yes, you go first.
Order for the first pass is:
Scrapheap
Guard
Tyler
Professor
Iris
Slip, Scrap- Let me know if you have any more questions, otherwise go ahead and make your roll Scrap, modified as per the notes above.
Sidenote: To my players, just kidding about my last OOC post…
And of the six (counting the ‘minor military action in the Barrens’) gunfights in the last few days, Dragon has been involved in three of them. Maybe he needs to reconsider the way he’s been going about his biz…
(Although if he did, we wouldn’t have the Blimp of DOOM tm incident…)
