First, I'll add my own apologies for being out of touch the last month.
Second, was about to throw up an IC post, but seems I am not computer-savvy enough to resurrect the IC thread.
I'll try a little more...
Hah - got it.

I don't get it. I just don't get it. This game simply refuses to die.
I thought no one had posted IC for months, and I came on the site to shut this down for good, only to find that not only have people been posting (albeit sporadically), but the game is still moving slowly if painfully onward.
There has been so much put into this game that it was borderline excruciating to make the decision to close it down. Now I find that if people are willing to persevere, then I can't quite bring myself to walk away.
DITG is like a drug, and I'm addicted, if only to find out how this all plays out. I hate you people for keeping me hooked like I'm on phonics! OK I admit, that was a terrible joke.
Anyway, to my knowledge only the Rob/Lindt combo is waiting on me, so I'll try to get something up later this week to keep this thing at least lurching forward, and we'll see where that takes us. Everyone else, if you want to keep this going, feel free to go ahead and keep posting.

To all my fellow players, I apologize for my lack of posting in the recent past. I have no legitimate excuse. I hope to push on with some regularity in the future.
WinterRat1, thanks for being willing to continue the game. Think I could get a post from Shade?

I'll get an IC post up for Shade and a response to the Rob/Lindt combo either Friday or Saturday.
I think Slipshade said he'd be down comms for an indeterminate period of time? You may want to send him a PM Mister Juan, and if he doesn't respond just move forward while directly affecting Baby as little as possible.

Hey All -
Sorry for the delay in my reply, but circumstances have made my availability uncertain for the next couple weeks. My wife's grandfather has had numerous health problems lately, leading to multiple late night trips to the hospital.
Yesterday, those health problems finally finished what they started and he passed away.
I have various family matters to take care of over the next few days, which in turn pushes back my other real-life responsibilities, which in turn pushes back my gaming responsibilities. I will do my best to post when/where I can and try to be up to date so I can get/keep things rolling, but until life gets settled back down and I get all caught up I can make no promises.
I will do my best to be in touch, thanks for your patience with the delay.

MJ - I'll get something up for you in the next couple of days.
All - WR1 is correct. I will be very sporadically online for the next couple of months, so it is best if you ignore interacting with Baby. I may post her doing some stuff when I am able since I can't seem to just let her go.
But I will likely disappear for long periods of time.

The last thing that happened in the Ink/Thumper/Grack scene was Ink talking to an NPC...

@Merriss
I'm aware that Thumper's actions might put Ink in a tough spot. For OOC purposes, he's not thinking about fighting anyone yet, but his wires are on and he's clearly somewhat agitated and somewhat drunk. If Ink is going to throw down with fists, we can come to some agreement about what happens via OOC. If not, keep talking/threatening or doing whatever. I'm curious to see how the scene plays out.

Well, uh, that works to advance the story too Pragma. Good job!

Rob - Need some help interpreting your post's tone, specifically this line:
QUOTE
You ain't getting any more tonight than what you're scrapping right now
In what tone is Bockscar speaking? At first read I thought it was supposed to be threatening, but in the context of the rest of the post it could be considered matter-of-fact. Would you please clarify, as his tone could influence the AK's response.
Box delivered the whole spiel in a matter-of-fact, fairly conversational tone, the same way he would have talked with Child on the way out. He's trying to be quite polite without appearing weak.
There is, of course, a level of threat in the statement. Basically that sentence translates to "I don't think you will be able to salvage much more than these vehicles tonight, and even if you can I might have a problem with you doing so."
Box is fine if the other dude is confused or decides to take offense. And box considers a level of implied threat also "matter of fact."

@Pragma: NBD This was bound to happen eventually. Unless I miss my guess, Thumper wants to see what Theo and Ink will do, jes?
@Winter: Apologies, thought I had made it clear. "El Coyote" is usually *nowadays anywho* known to be a man or organization devopted to moving things and people from one place to another. Mostly illeagely. In our particular instance I was thinking that this is the man the LoCoS and other in their turf depended on to bring in shipments of semifinished drugs or possibly even raw. In other words I'm trying to increase Ink's usefulness to the October Ravens.
pragma
Jul 6 2009, 07:47 AM
I want to see what Ink and Theo will do, but Thumper really hasn't thought much through at this point. To give him credit for wanting to probe for reactions would be a stretch -- a more accurate read is that he's drunk and has poor impulse control.
Meriss
Jul 7 2009, 03:47 PM
Yah figured as much. One of those weird IC?OOC moments ain't it?
My main thing is
I know about the wires, would
Ink? I mean he's a lifer in the Gate, he's seen his share of nasty. Does he know what the random twitches in Thumper mean?
@Winter: Rolling Peception to see if Ink can notice Thumpers activation of his wires
4d6.hits(5)=1 And adding a Kingsgate Gangs
5d6.hits(5)=3 to see if he knows what it means.

Rob - An interesting argument from Bockscar. I enjoyed reading it. Go ahead and give me a Negotiation roll.
Meriss - Yeah, Ink's been around enough that with your rolls, he knows that the random twitches are indicative of Wired Reflexes, which are a fairly common piece of cyberware in Kingsgate.
Everyone - I think I posted IC and OOC to everyone who was waiting on me, please let me know if someone is waiting on something from me.
I really did intend to get to these IC posts sooner than I did. By way of explanation/apology, in addition to the aforementioned family issues, my calculus class has been murdering me (5-10 hours of calc every day) so once it's over at the end of July, I'll be able to pick the pace up again. Thanks for your patience.
And the game keeps lurching onwards...

Box's negotiations roll:
Charisma 4 + Influence 1: 5d6: [3,2,4,6,5] = 2 hits.
Link to the roll.Whew! Low dice rolls like that are always nerve wracking.
If there are any bonuses for having a good argument or whatever, I didn't take them into account.

It would be nice if Bockscar was at the HQ for that, because I think the only other people there right now are Baby and the whores. Which wouldn't be much help on the mission Aziz needs to do, heh.

@WR
Quick note, Thumpers actions towards Theodoro are predicated on him saying something about Grack's actions even though this didn't appear in the last IC post. I inserted it into my IC assuming that he would object somehow to Grack shitting in his store. If he had not yelled first, Thumper would likely have kept munching happily.

Okay - FINALLY I have managed to get my computer fixed here in the land of socialism.
Anything Grack would do IC at this point would merely restart the problem that was just resolved at the bodega, and one bit of silliness like that is enough.
So he will continue to follow Ink and Thumper around with his music blasting his ears out.
But I am back and watching things, and will jump in as appropriate.
