grendel: what me to roll for Tony's training in Automatics? I've got a feeling that something wicked cometh his way. Or he's walking toward it.
Also: these guys look anything like the guys in the cooler from earlier in the week?

Scrap and Slip - Actually, since we're in a smaller combat now due to the chaos, both of you roll Initiative.
Pg. 135 SR 4 - 'Some items, such as grenades...are timed as to exactly when they will explode. In most situations, these items will detonate on the character's (current) Initiative Score during the next Initiative Pass.'
So in short, no, unless you're firing it with an airburst link, which I don't think you are. Does that answer your question?

Vegas - There's nothing I have to add to this scene right now. Her friends aren't going to push her and are willing to acquiesce to her request to get trashed. You're at a point where Lana can do just about anything. So I'm going to let you write the next post and indicate what direction Lana is going in before responding.
Oh, and don't forget she has class tomorrow.

Initiative:
Pool - 10(12)
Rolls - 06 06 06 05 05 04 03 03 03 03 02 01
Hits - 5
Final initiative - 17, 3 passes
John's first action is going to be to drop the grenade behind them. If this counts as a simple action (since he isn't throwing) his second action would be to grab his pistols. He's also going to tell LD and Nora to run on his command (hold their actions until he says run).

Similar, but the bodies are in too good a condition to be the same ones Tony was transporting. He estimates that they've been dead no more than three or four days.

Hard to tell from the map that Tony is currently using. The only sure way would be to search the entire building. Either that or destroy the entire building.

Happy Birthday Vegas!
EDIT: Vegas go ahead and keep writing with Lana, since she's the one making the decisions right now and the others will generally follow her lead.
If you want to have her head back to her apartment, all three of the others will go with her. Write up to her arriving at her apartment and I'll take it from there.
If you decide not to go to the apartment and want to do something else, let me know what that is and I'll tell you if you should write it up or if the others will have something to say.

Cedric - Did you have any specific plans for Erebus at this point in time? For various OOC reasons, Dragon and Virgil are going to split up in game right now, mostly because Bandit's too busy with RL stuff to keep up with me.
I know you're a consistent and prolific poster, and Dragon will definitely need help taking on the biz he's got scheduled to deal with. Would you be interested in having Dragon and Erebus team up to work through a lot of the outstanding business issues they both have to deal with? Specifically, digging Sybersnake out of the hole she's in and trying to get some cash out of the deal for Erebus, to replace his earlier contributions to the team via the sale of the deck. Not to mention maybe finishing off the ASVW problem.
I'll be making the post moving Dragon along sometime in the next week, once I fully catch up to speed on his current situation prior to ASVW. Let me know if you're interested in having Dragon and Erebus team up.

Ya, I'd be fine working with Dragon for awhile still. I have no in game plans for him, which is why I still haven't started posting away. I figured I'd try and formulate an idea of what he'd do in a situation like this first, and I still haven't come up with anything.
My character isn't about bolting if things get too hot but he's used up his margin for error, his resources are pretty much down to what he's carrying on his person right now. Admittedly the 45K is pretty nice but it wouldn't be enough to get started somewhere else again.
Sybersnake is a decker right? Cool, I'm looking to hook up with a good decker contact, and a solid magician to begin putting together a real network in Seattle. Definitely something Erebus would be interested in doing, besides I'm interested in seeing the ASVW plot through.

Cedric - I have a few posts and other things I need to do first before I can logically bring the story back around to Dragon bringing in Erebus. Just keep tabs on LITS and I should have the post with Dragon contacting Erebus up later this week.

Anyone know why are some of the quotation marks in the IC thread are appearing as question marks instead?
Vegas
May 16 2007, 07:03 PM
I think it has to do mostly with the way people write posts. If you do posts away from the add reply page/fast reply box like in Word or something some of the formatting or choice of fonts jacks the BB code when you paste it in.
This happened a while back and they seemed to "fix" it for a while.. till the server move. Hopefully it can be corrected again.

May 16 2007, 07:25 PM
And that's why Times New Roman, 12 point font is the best style in the world. Oh yeah.
Everyone - Try to double check when you post and make sure your post isn't changing the quotation marks into question marks. If it is, please change it so that Mister Juan doesn't have to do it when he archives the posts. Thanks!

Slipshade - Give me a Reaction Roll to dodge a pair of bursts. They are coming from different opponents, and as far as Max can tell, were fired fairly randomly. In other words, the two opponents aren't specifically targeting Max to hose down, they're just shooting at whatever they can see.
Gunshot 1: BF from an SMG, opponent has 1 success.
Gunshot 2: BF from an SMG, opponent has 1 success.

WR1, when I was looking up how to soak (been a while) I realized that I shorted myself 3 dice on my unarmed roll. I rolled like an attack and not like a defense.
Would you like me to go on from here or re-roll?

[ Spoiler ]
Use the same roll as before, and just roll 3 more dice and post the results of those three dice here. If you get 1 hit on those three dice you will avoid being hit entirely, negating the need for a soak roll.
If you don't get a hit on those three dice, then the result I posted will stand, and you should roll your soak and post it.
