Wait... What?
I'm not sure which part I find more interesting/surprising.

Character is very loosely based on the real man, don't expect any gunplay at the Grenadian embassy...he's more of a machete guy, he was wielding one quite persuasively when we discussed my intentions towards his daughter.

Oh, hope you like my next IC, I'll try not to mess the place up ... too much

@Grendel, my Last IC is more for a "something to do for an evening" rather than just fast forward to morning,
hopefully it doesn't interrupt anything you had planned,
just the usual distract the guards while the boss talks to the boss kinda deal. bit of excitement .. more food.. then home to bed prior to the swap meet today/tomorrow/today ... time is confusing me

I will NEVER EVER leave the SMG in the car EVER again. I swear.
I've got a few questions before Ludi decides exactly what she's going to do.
1- From the outside to the place she's currently at, if someone knew the way, how much time could she have?
2- How thick the door she came through in is?
3- What floor is she on?
4- Does the room she's in have any windows? How about furniture?

I thought you learned that lesson last time?
QUOTE
1- From the outside to the place she's currently at, if someone knew the way, how much time could she have?
Three minutes, tops.
QUOTE
2- How thick the door she came through in is?
Not thick enough. It's construction plastic over a solid core. Ludi estimates its structure rating to be around 5 with an armor rating of about 4 or 5.
QUOTE
3- What floor is she on?
Third floor. Approximately fourteen meters from ground level.
QUOTE
4- Does the room she's in have any windows? How about furniture?
Yes. There's a long, thin folding table in the center of the room, a ratty looking recliner in the corner, a set of TV trays, and a bookshelf/entertainment center that's overflowing with boxes of porn OMCs as well as a cobbled together stereo system and small trideo. As well as several scales, a few bongs, and other assorted drug paraphernalia.

@GrendelI've got (well, Ludi has
) a few more tiny questions for ya!
1- How large is the hallway outside? Can two people stand side to side?
2- What do the stairs she used to get up here look like? Do they keep going up after the floor she's on?
The reason why I am asking, and I probably shouldn't tell you this, is that Ludi (being of a rather aggressive and forward mindset) would probably be more inclined to ambush the three guys rather than run, and the best place for her would be to get the high ground, meaning, the top of the stairs, while Vadim cuts them off at the bottom... especially if they aren't expecting him and they double back.

The halls are about two meters wide, so yes, two people can stand side by side in them.
QUOTE
2- What do the stairs she used to get up here look like? Do they keep going up after the floor she's on?
They're steel grating fire stairs, and they continue up probably another four or five floors.

The problem here is that
Ludi is almost positive that there is more than one way to reach the room she's at now, and she doesn't know the building well enough to be able to cover all possible routes nor to pinpoint any critical junctions that all routes must pass through.

Ludi will stop at the top of the stairs for a moment and listen carefully, trying to block everything but footsteps out (Select Sound Filters+Audio Enhanc 3). From now on, her Wired Reflexes are also on. She’ll keep the connection with Vadim open and she’ll start streaming him her vision and sound, if he wants to access it.
Here is an infiltration roll, if you need it
[ Spoiler ]
I didn’t roll any perception (audio) because I thought it wouldn’t be fun if I knew the results

Well, at least you didn't glitch like Bclements did that one time.
Ludi is third in the order, she's clear to act. The IP started on fifteen. The chemist is last with a count of six. There will be three passes during the IP. From where she's standing she can't see anyone, but the gunfire is clearly close at hand, possibly right outside the stairway exit. She's also unsure which weapon that Vadim is using.

-Did Vadim blow the guy's face off or can he still be "identified"? If yes, she'll most definitely take a picture of his face.
-She patting him down for intel: anything that can identify him or help trace who he was. Electronics, credsticks, etc...
-Also, she'll have a quick look at what else he's carrying: weapons, grenades, comm gear, etc...

Mr. Juan, roll me some reaction for
Ludi, Goblin Bravo's burst has 3 hits, explosive rounds from an AK-98, damage is going to be 9P, -1 AP depending on the results of her roll.
Mister Juan
May 20 2013, 03:43 AM
Let's add some Edge into that

Mister Juan
May 20 2013, 03:44 AM
Does Ludi still have an action for this IP? And how are are the shooters?
grendel
May 20 2013, 03:49 AM
You can only apply edge once per roll, so you can either throw your edge dice into the pool and have exploding 6's, or you can reroll failures after the test. Not both.
Yes, Ludi has one pass left after this. The shooter is above and behind her, at her seven o'clock at 32 meters in elevation.

Well damn it. I have to admit I did all this just based on memory, so if you say that's how it works, that's how I'll do it
So she's got 2 hits instead of 3. I guess that's when the 11 of ballistic armor comes in
It's a simple action to use Vision Mag to ignore the range modifier, right?
grendel
May 20 2013, 03:56 AM
Yes, unless Ludi has the martial arts maneuver that allows her to use 'take aim' as a free action instead.
Mister Juan
May 20 2013, 03:58 AM
Want me to roll for the damage resist?
grendel
May 20 2013, 04:04 AM
Absolutely. 2 hits gives Goblin Bravo one net, damage is 10P, -1 AP.
Mister Juan
May 20 2013, 04:11 AM
Because for some reason my SR4 pdf won't open, here's what I remember. Correct me if I'm wrong (like I have to tell you this...)
So, that's 11 balistic armor, brought to 10 because of the -1AP.
DV of the attack is 10P, so 10P versus 10 Balistic = 10S to resist
So! That's Body + Modified Armor rating : that's 14 dices, correct?
grendel
May 20 2013, 09:52 PM
Correct!
Mister Juan

http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4057645/ : 5,1,3,3,6,1,4,4,1,5,2,3,6,3 : 4 hits
Hey, what the hell. I'll use 1 more edge (putting Ludi at 2/4) to reroll the miss.
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4057646/: 4,2,4,2,1,5,2,6,1,3 : 2 hits
That's a total of 6 hits. I guess the dice roller is slowly starting to warm up to me
So that would mean Ludi takes 4S. Not "bad" considering she just got hit by a burst from an assault rifle with Ex Rounds.
Would you mind giving me a brief description of the surrounding area. I'm not completely sure about the whole "geography" of the scene. Is there hard cover nearby? How far to the car? Is the way to the car exposed? Out in the open? Partial Cover?
grendel
May 21 2013, 03:22 AM
Hardest cover nearby is back into the stairwell. The next building over is eight meters in front of Ludi. The car is to her right, seventeen meters away. The first nine will be exposed to gunfire above until she moves around the corner of the stairway out of line of sight from the sixth floor landing. The ground is broken and snow covered, but shouldn't pose a problem to rapid movement. The fading sunlight is casting long shadows, but low-light absorbs all of the vision modifiers.
Mister Juan
May 21 2013, 03:32 AM
So technically, if she moves back into the stairwell, she'd break line of sight with the people shooting down at them?
Instinctively, I think she'd be looking for the nearest hardcover. If moving there does indeed break line of sight, she'll grab the dead's guy AK, and move into hardcover.
EDIT: If that is impossible/not very "safe", she'll still grab the AK but instead, she'll dash around the corner to get into cover (those 9 meters you mentioned)
So that would be on Simple action to "pick up object" and the other, I guess, to take cover properly. She'll use her free action to yell at the chemist to take cover
If by some miracle, the taking cover doesn't use a simple action, she'll use it to check if the AK is useable (ie: not biolocked and still has bullets in the clip.)
grendel
May 21 2013, 10:10 PM
Moving back into cover in the stairwell is probably the best course of action, it takes her out of the line of fire, it's closer, and it keeps her close to the chemist as well. She can retrieve the AK, it's smartlinked so as soon as she grabs the pistol grip she'll get a read out that the weapon is fully functional, 29 rounds in the clip and 5 rounds in the underbarrel grenade launcher.
Mister Juan

So that's exactly what she'll do.
Does the smartlink specify the type of ammo (in both the gun and the launcher)?
grendel
May 21 2013, 10:39 PM
Negative, she'd have to eject a round in order to examine it.
Mister Juan
May 21 2013, 10:42 PM
Does she still have a simple action or is that all?
grendel
May 22 2013, 12:58 AM
Movement takes place outside of the action phase, so her move to cover is concurrent.
Simple action 1: recover AK-98.
Free action: check ammo load on AK-98.
Simple action 2: communicate to Chemist (and/or Vadim depending on phrasing)
That's how I've got it broken down so far.
Mister Juan
May 22 2013, 01:18 AM
Looks about right.
Ludi will simply shout (in Russian because it'll be faster) to "GET HIM IN COVER!"
