Slip - I'd check your post about grabbing something again. Not that I usually harp on spelling or anything, but I'm getting a distinctly different picture of Max's actions than I think you intended. Of course, if that's the way Max is, it's not like there's anything wrong with that...

Back to more serious matters (of playing a game by post on the internet, dammit!), John is going to try to see if they are being followed. WR1, do you need a shadowing roll or perception? Neither? Both?

Yeah that was a bit of the player showing through. Funny thing is Max is pretty much an optimist, which is one of the reasons I think he will be the first character killed in LiTS. He can be stupidly heroic at times.

Just look at it as successfully crushing a simple man's delusions of what his life should be. As a GM that is much more satisfying.

BC - I think that's overkill. Pretty much anyone here could take him out fairly easy.

Max is by no means a combat oriented character...Now when I get the time and money to get my 7 force level 5+ bound spirits and my one force level 6+ unbound spirit running around with me, then I may be a little harder to take down.

That's what Blimps of DOOM™ are for.

And railguns. And Banshees, and my personal favorite, naval weapons, complete with Naval Damage Code. Battleship anyone?

(Psst...you know, summoning of high force level spirits is ILLEGAL! Max is an honest, law-abiding citizen who doesn't even wear armor when he goes to the Barrens. He'd NEVER do anything that would get him involved in illegal, or even quasi-legal activites like that, right?)

Actually I have no idea what is legal in that regard, which was why I asked.

As for the armor thing...well, live and learn and Max will never go into the barrens without at least his armored undies again.

Railguns have naval damage codes, as do light howitzers, heavy mortars, and ASCMs. Personally, though, my ambition is to employ an ANDREWS during my tenure as a LitS GM.

ANDREWS?

I don't recall the acronym off-hand, but it's a naval directed energy point defense system. It's a burst fire weapon that has a base damage of 9(light naval).

To all my volunteers - I will need all converted characters by some time this week to look over, as I think the scene I will be needing them for will be happening very quickly (both in RL time and game time), and I'd like to be able to spend Memorial Day weekend working on my references and notes for the scene. Yes I am a loser...

Also, I need someone who knows how to host a document on a website so that we can reference it online.

Basically, I'm going to be drawing some maps for reference, and I want to be able to put them online for easy reference for everyone. I will be updating the maps either with Microsoft Word or scanning them (if I can figure out how to get my scanner to work and save the documents to something), and I'll need someone to put them online for me somewhere and create a link to them here in the OOC thread. I have NO idea how this works, so if someone can help me out, please say so, because I need a hand with this. Thanks!

I'm going to be on low-access for the next ten days, from 22 May to 02 Jun. Posting will be sporadic at best.

I am going on Vacation from May 26th to June 5th, so I do not know if I will be online between that time.

WR1 and Slip-
I was just going to post up until the arrival, but would gladly allow WR1 to do so.

John was just going to drive around the warehouse to scout the area (avoiding the barrier), then park a few blocks away and approach on foot. I wanted to talk to some locals (squatters, etc) to see if they knew anything about the building. Let me know if you need any rolls.
