Ugh, sorry for my absense the other day. Dumpshock.com doesnt come up for me and it still wont. Then i got pissed off at waiting for it to fix itself so i remembered i get stupid emails about all PM's and used the link in those to come back today.

Im drawing a huge blank trying to figure out how to get out of this cleanly so we arent being actively hunted down by Loui. If we attack him it would go bad, if we ran it would go bad. Maybe if we ran he would give up, maybe he would be less likely to try and mess with us now that there are three of us. Atleast until at some future point where he comes back and trys to kill us in some ambush.

Thought about blowing edge on this to really try to ramp up the paycheck - but then, when I agreed, I'd be that much more less likely to succeed. Minimally, Adam is hoping to get Cal to admit that he fucked up - that his plan isn't water-tight, and that he needs Adam. It'd be great if I could get him to admit that he left these details out so Adam would agree to $400, instead of insisting on mobster-level type wages, but if I can get him to bump that number upwards a little bit, that'd be great too.
And, I dunno how soundproof this van is - but I suspect that Deerwalker and Sledge can make out most of what is being said.

Lets see what she knows:
The mob thinks ther is a mage in here
They only sent 2 trolls, so they are either scared or confident
They both have guns, but one has a LMG
Rocky doesnt look to have cyber in him and doesnt have a LMG nearby, so the other troll, Ceberus, is the cybered one with a LMG
Rocky has his commlink turned off and will have to wait a few turns to get it working again
Ceberus is on the comm with Angelo, who might be one of the Mafioso
There is at least one injured person because of the crying child and woman yelling at Ceberus.
Looking around, she can see the blown off door, the dead dwarf with a head wound, the woman Ceberus was working on, and Ceberus talking on a comm
Am I missing anything?
I need to know if Rocky is going to let Caittie down or not, cause it could affect my other rolls and I want her to grab her stuff out of the coffin while she talks it out and thinks.
The Plan:
First, Caittie is going to turn off all the cameras in the building with a 2 hour no respond condition.
I'm guessing that the quickest plan would be to have Rocky use normal unarmed combat against Ceberus (stun damage) untill he is beat up pretty badly. Then while Caittie hides in a different tube and closes all the hatches, you guys can cut off the dead dwarf's head and take it down to Louie. Caittie will feel sick at even suggesting it, but will talk about it anyways.
When/If Louie asks where Caittie's head is, the trolls will say that this was the person in the tube, and the mage used mind control/body control to get Rocky to beat up Ceberus. Only a lucky shot from Ceberus got him down.
This plan sorta relies on the troll's lieing ability at the end, so I'm not sure how it will pan out. At least she is saying something that might get them all out.

Not until she shows some interest in working together to resolve the issue. If she does that and is convincing then he will not have a problem with letting her go.
But at this point he's not going to till they are all on the same page.

Edited my last post, adding in a simple plan.
Glad to hear she's open to working on things.
Got a couple thoughts....
#1 not sure I like the idea of beating on Cernerus, if he's all tooled up it will make the fight much harder if the plan falls apart.
#2 Not sure Louie would buy the, this is who was in there, and to go along with that I know Rocky is a crappy liar, and I'm not sure about Cerberus.
#3 if they don't buy the trick, they wiill come in and tear the place apart looking you. OR they will just blow up/burn the place to the ground standing outside to make sure you don't slip out.
But good ideas, cause I don't have much aside from the going out the back and fighting our way out.

The only problem I think there is with fighting it out, is that unless you get them all, including Fishbreath, they will just find us again.
Look at Caittie. All she did was mess up their guns as Alex fried Sal, who wasnt very much liked but was 'one of them'. They tracked her down, even with a new SIN, and sent you two up to scrap her.
If I was a mage and fried you two, it would be no loss cause you guys are just hired help but once you guys start tearing into actual Mafioso, they take it personally.
The best bet would be tricking them or running away without killing them.
Major problem with tricking them, is that you trolls suck at social tests on average.
Major problem with running away is that you just lost your job, SIN, Lifestyle, Contact in the barrens, and maybe your normal contacts (in Ceberus' case)
Are your characters willing to put it all on the line for one girl? Are their moral values worth duking it out with the Mafia, who like to pay back 10 fold?
I'm not trying to get you to kill my character, but there are select few options on getting out alive and without many negative effects.

Your biggest problem would be actually making heads or tails of the full engineering schematic. Some places would have a whole program in place that you could ask questions and all that. But this place - doubtful. I haven't refreshed my memory on your skill list lately, so I can't give you odds, but there would be some sort of test to determine how accurately and with what level of detail you could read it.
I mean, the only reason for a map showing HVAC and sewers to exist is so it can be worked on by professionals, and those maps are covered in specialized symbols and notations.
Yes, you can get the map. Yes, if you read it properly it will show you how big the ducts and pipes are and where they go. If you read it real well it will show you which passages are blocked in any way and how securely. MAYBE you can get whether the sewers are full of effluent, etc.

If you want in on it, that's cool - otherwise I was planning on how to handle his headware... thought about subscribing something (agent, data-bomb, something) to send the detonation code too... but, then I thought about how close Adam would be standing to him - and thought that I would prefer it if Adam went on believing that the C4 was for show, and that he wasn't going to be bathing in guard tonight.

Cerberus Bad News
Well guys im really sorry but Im not gonna be able to play for who knows how long. My computer was going realy slow and i was trying to shut things down and restart my computer and i did something bad to the IP connection. I get fatal errors on my computer if i try to get a connection now.
Please dont kill off Cerberus. Please just put him on autopilot. Im pretty sure this situation wont be permanent. If you get another player to drive him dont let them spend my money or my karma.
Every morning and night i checked our game and everytime i walk by my busted useless computer now i get sad thinking about you guys.
I cant make any promises about checking in. Im using a relative's computer and they live far enough away that i have to use the car to get here and i cant really see blowing gas money on this.
Anyways im sorry for messing up our game. I am pissed. I've only got to shoot 4 people with my damn light machine gun and 3 of those were innoscents!!

Back up your data, then reinstall your OS. It will be a pain in the but but it should default all your settings.

Just one thing I forgot to mention, the signals are encrypted, don't want some random wireless traffic setting this off.

At least one of us will ask about the Hacker. Sledge will point out it would be a good idea to clean up the data trail from the kidnapping, if it hasn't been already. The vehicles at the very least will have been tracked through the traffic system etc. The Hacker, if available needs to take control of the guards commlink and monitor it. Or else Mr Smith or Sledge will have to do it. (Mr Smith may wish to claim to do this and charge for this, while Sledge actually does it by loading her Agent onto the guards commlink.)

The vehicles at the very least will have been tracked through the traffic system etc. The Hacker, if available needs to take control of the guards commlink and monitor it. Or else Mr Smith or Sledge will have to do it. (Mr Smith may wish to claim to do this and charge for this, while Sledge actually does it by loading her Agent onto the guards commlink.)
- Where is the Hacker.
- Is the data trail being cleaned up?
- Can the Hacker monitor the guards commlink.

Actually, you mentioned the encryption earlier. Good play, I got it.
Cal will tell whoever asks that the hacker is being provided by someone 'up the chain, way up the chain'. That's about all he can tell you re. identity and location. If you ask 'up what chain' or something like that, he will just smirk - it is obvious he assumes Smith knows already.
He says the traffic stuff has already been covered, and he has already figured that if you they disable the headware comm he would have to tell the hacker. He'll call and explain that, and come back sounding confident as ever that it is being handled.
