On the subscribers to those commlinks, it's a data search check to find out what they go to. A bit of legwork turns up that two have apartment door locks subscribed and one had a motorcycle. All three are some way away in quite hostile territory (moreso now).

@everyone -
A couple of links have been added at the bottom of the Home page for the410crash wiki. They link to another wiki site for a game I am running at another gaming site.
The first is SR Resources. It is simply a few links that I think are good for anyone. There are a few RSS feeds embedded on the page that update...well...as they are updated.
The second is to a Mechanics page. This is a lofty goal. What I am trying to do is assemble all the various, specific rules in one place. This is meant to be an information resource for the player and GM alike. I've included a couple of things on it to show how they can be entered. I've included a footnote (for playing pool) to show that it is a house rule (and the game that it applies to). I've also thrown in the copyright symbol for tests that are pulled straight from the rule book (not sure if this is necessary or necessarily correct, but meh).
Anyway, if anyone would like to contribute to either, it would be greatly appreciated, especially to the Mechanics page. I think that it could be an enormous help to everyone that plays Shadowrun since the rules are often mixed in with non rules and are often not where you might think they would appear.

So, Vegas.... was your post the IC part for rolling an opposed negotiation? or... are you going for something else?
just checking to see if I need to roll
MK Ultra
Apr 13 2006, 05:40 PM
It was just descriptive stuff, to move the IC a bit forward. She did no rolls yet, except the supportive roll from Halo for Auran.
@ Vegas
beat me, if I stated anything wrong
Rokur
Apr 13 2006, 05:46 PM
well the first roll i made was ettiquette, to "blend in" and get Rahim to talk to me about drugs/sales... and my proficiency at fitting in with drug lingo etcetera.
And that's why I was asking if she was starting the "negotiation" process now.
[edit] If she is, this is my roll for negotiation -
CODE |
Cha (6) + Negotiation (2) + Home Ground (2) = 10 dice 1.3.[5],4,[6],4,[6],[5],3,[5] = 5 hits |
PS - should we roll Rahim's opposed? [/edit]

Well, than let me be somebody, for once

Rahim´s roll
CODE |
Contact Base (6) + Conection Rating (2) = 8 dice [5] 4 4 2 2 [5] 1 [5] Hits:3 |
EDIT: Rokur
Auran would get 3 Bonus dice from Halo´s roll! I´ll be so blatent and roll them, too.
CODE |
Halo´s Teamwork (3) = 3 dice [5] [5] 1 Hits:2 |
So that would make 4 fat net hits

The price would then be approcimately -20% off (IIRC -5% per net hit was the default value) or 16

a line.
So we´d get the first 4 for 64

and pay another 64

in advance for the 8 to come (another 64

when we get them).
Good deal
Vegas
Apr 13 2006, 06:32 PM
I went ahead and rolled both etiquette and negotiations just in case anyone wanted to roll with this a bit if it stalled.
We can knock off 5% for every success (don't know how it'll fare for the teamwork) from our Negotiation rolls.
Here's a roll for Rahim's negotiations.
CODE |
Rahim (6) + Connection (2) = 8 dice [5] 4 4 2 2 [5] 1 [5] Hits:3 |
Hope we can keep it moving and get back to the Y or whatever we're doing tonight IC
I'll be in and out the rest of the aftenoon.

Apr 13 2006, 07:43 PM
Wouldn't we get another 5 dice for Halo, for getting 5 hits on her negotiation roll? (cause she did roll her ettiquette skill too when we first walked in). You rolled 3 and I was curious what you did for it.
PS - I'm Just gonna post IC as if we got a good deal, which we already did using only 3 extra teamwork dice.
MK Ultra
Apr 13 2006, 07:53 PM
Oh, sorry, thought she had only 4 hits, not 5.
1 hit gets subtracted due tobliss however.
So I was short one die, so, Auran could have 1 more die..
CODE |
Forgoten die (1) = 1 dice [5] Hits:1 |
Yay. This means, they make Rahim accept Halo´s blatent undercut

15 a line
60 for the 1st + 60 up front, 60 more after one day!

CODE |

Ok changes are made... im not quite sure I know how knowlege skill work..
But by looking at the others it seems to be what builds your character personality and maybe certain things he knows about
For instance
Goblin Rock Famous DJ Gang ID Famous Deckers Matrix hang outs Shadowrun MMORPG
Spanish English (not sure if thats given)
Stuff like that... am I close |
I would change the Shadowrun MMORPG knowledge skill to just Matrix VR Games or Matrix Games.
Adding the Shadowrun MMORPG game to your gear list (VR Games are 50

a pop) would make better sense.

If China Doll already has the program, Goliath can do the little trick of not taking it at chargen, and we can spend a few hours cracking and sharing our warez. If that helps. But I'd still be careful of making sure you take the core software that's appropriate for your background.

On the drugs thing, your guy can introduce you to someone who can get you more, but he'll set up the meet for the following evening and he'll want a finder's fee. He personally doesn't deal with novacoke in those quantities because he doesn't think it's worth the risk of getting caught with it.

Try again later is the only suggestion I have since I have no idea why you would be unable to connect..

To speed things up... Raven is gonna fetch her conjuring materials from her flat; if Kartijan wants, she can bring Nurse to the shops and pick her back up afterwards, as offered in the IC. Just assume, that she did, if you want.
Once she is back and the sun has set (no idea when that happens over there

), she will summon a Force 3 Air Spirit. No Binding yet, since she is still wounded... she's going to rest afterwards.
Here are the rolls for the summoning:
Summoning
4 hitsResistance
2 hitsDrain
1 hit (normally a Glitch

)
So, Raven will have a Force 3 Air Spirit with 2 services around. And now also 3 boxes of Stun damage.
Time to get some rest!
Bye

So what do you folks think about Neo's idea to start up a spirit brothel?
The spirits involved would almost certainly be Spirits of Man (materializing as hot women). They wouldn't need to be more than Force 1 to do their job, and the casters would just send them on remote service. I think we've got something like 4 or 5 mages, so we should be able to start a brothel with about a dozen girls in it.

Server Alias you can just put in "Dumpshock" to remember what server you're on.
In the irc.trillian.com::1667 change irc.trillian.com to irc.dumpshock.com you can leave off the port.
Then Nickname is whatever silly thing you want to show up in your /whois (i.e. I have "Crazy in Love"). Username is ES_Sparky or JAX or whatever you want to be on channel. Hit connect and then, chose to join a channel and join 410Crash.

Also, I don't think I'm going to allow teamwork for social tests like negotiation. A case could be made for intimidation, but I'd rather just apply a flat modifier to the primary character's die pool in that case.
