Tasty brains, but not within my drop area...

Seattle is a great area for the Shadow's, our group is 7 strong for usual play and they have former players that could make the number of gamers about 10-12.

I am thinking about a crazy Ausi investor living in Seattle 2072 that has a Drop bear altered with warform/chimera abilities. His story is he was getting ready to use it in the arenas found in Snohomish. Not sure were to take it from there, do the runner's get hired to steal it (not easy stealing a dropbear) or kill it? Maybe they are hired by a family member to go to his compound and figure out why he is not responding....Knowing that he has Illegal stuff up there they hire someone from the shadows. Find him dead and the Dropbear waiting in ambush!

P.S the bird is real, and it is an almost true mimic.

2) I was reading Eclipse Phase (a role-playing game of post-apocalyptic transhuman conspiracy and horror) and it dawned on me - how will we leverage our great weapons without the great bowstring of gravity? The time will come when we too must follow our prey. How shall we propel ourselves to the attack?

We must learn to harness gravity itself, create a Mass Effect... we could drop in all directions, putting omnidirectional fear into the hearts of our prey.

It is photoshopped, but the original isn't far off...

Wet Koala

Wet Koala 2

Personally, I find this bear creepier.

No.
Shortstraw
Creepiest thing about koalas is that they have fingerprints which means drop bears do too.

Has a koala ever been found that matches a known human fingerprint?

I don't believe anyone has yet discovered two matching human fingerprints, so my assumption would be no.

No, however they can be mistaken for human fingerprints unless you know the differences.

Has anybody found any traces of Drop Bear in SR5 yet?` grinbig.gif

No but they're canny hunters, excelling in stealth and subterfuge.
Lindt
And here i thought they, like several of you old nerds, went extinct!

By the by, I did run the Drop Bear Adventure, to mixed reception. I realize it's a touch longer than a single four-hour adventure, but it moved along much faster owing to the giant gaps still there.

It has been ten years and people are still commenting here?

I don't even know what to say.

You fool! You have created a monster, it cannot be undone!
nezumi
Well, we did take a three-year nap.

Drop bears can be sleepy like that.
Grinder
They return to Valhalla, where they rest and feed.

That's how they get you. False sense of security. And teeth. Very sharp teeth.
*nods sagely*
nezumi
And ruthless efficiency! How we get you are a false sense of security, teeth, and ruthless efficiency.

And patience. Lots and lots of patience...

Well played sir....
Wounded Ronin
Yeah, that was pretty good.

Okay, but every time we do the Spanish Inquisition gag, it now takes three years per iteration!
