While I'm asking about an escape route, does the house have a back door we could escape through? If not, I'll edit this post.
Fairy
Lol. Dooooom.

Now, I am hoping that the flashbang has disoriented the poor old lady that if she is questioned by the police, she will recall very little about us.
RdMarquis
Can't imagine that she'd remember anything other than "Looks like some had an accident. I'd better go and help-" *BOOM*

Unless she's an adept with Eidetic Memory.

...Would you be a dear and assense her, please?
Fairy
No, I am not assensing poor little old ladies for you, you PERVERT. Ew. Just, ew. nyahnyah.gif

(Haha. I am kidding youuuuu.)

Did the map turn up anything? Or is everything from here to our destination flat and Citymaster friendly?

I've made a UK specific map for 2072, should make finding things easier. Let's assume for now that what Google Maps shows is pretty similar to the area 60 years later! So, detached houses, hedges etc. Flat ish but with good amounts of cover... 2072 UK

@ Aria: I forgot to ask, does the technomancer have the armor I handed him in the church? Maybe he put it on to protect himself from a stray shot? Please? biggrin.gif

No problem...he's armoured up and inside the old lady's house with Tsubaki...it might be a good idea to get the party back together...particularly as the new comers have the package smile.gif

You came in the back...you can go out the front!

Here's a link for the new 2072 Chicago Locations: 2072 Chicago As you can see - Blackwater is just North East of the Cermak blast! But you should be fine... ork.gif I make it around 7-8 miles as the crow flies from the container to the site...but the terain is not conducive to a careless stroll so it will take longer than it sounds like it might...
JxJxA
@ Aria: Hooray, that was the big piece I was hoping not to lose lol. I'll take a look at the map and see if there's a way I can run around to the front and hop inside the house. smile.gif

Let's just say Mordred is leaving through the door that leads away from the tank, then, and keep going in that general direction nyahnyah.gif

@OGDWW:

Thought, I'd do some rolls with the post: Invisible Castle
#1 is a general roll for the office, didn't know whether you wanted one, so just ignore it if not: 1 hit, no glitch - nothing interesting anyway.
#2 is assensing on Saint: 4 hits, no glitch
#3 is assensing on our good doctor: 7 hits, no glitch - Thought that Adrian wouldn't be doing a proper job without having a really good look. wink.gif

btw: Edge: 1 down, 5 to go.
onlyghostdanceswhiledrunk
hope you enjoy that next post ears biggrin.gif. You are really wierded out once you notice the grey spidery lines in his aura, think of cobwebs, so ephemeral that you can only just see them through the mana pooling in this room. Hes very shiny on the astral but in a way you have never really seen before, kind of the difference between a neon yellow in a strobe light and the matte almost sedate yellow of pastel (so very bright but muted somehow).
Ears
@OGDWD: Great, now you got me wondering whether there is such a thing as Toxic Buddhist monks/doctors. wink.gif

Yup, I likes it!
JxJxA
@ Aria: Using the thermal smoke grenade as a momentary distraction. Hopefully, it'll mislead them for the few seconds I need to run around to the front of the old lady's house. biggrin.gif

Big gun man is you by the way smile.gif

He wants to send a machine sprite into your smartlink and provide you with firing coords (I suspect that should work although I'm not certain on the RAW?!?)

OF COURSE there is a tiny little drone in the sky. Lmfao.

anyone seen soykaf online lately? thought he/she was going to be coming back smile.gif

I think I've seen him/her/it (just for internet use every language should by now have evolved to include a gender-neutral third person pronoun...) wink.gif around lately. Btw for seven (!) hits what is it we're facing, mage, adept, mix like mine, something else...

It's not like my character can do much about it even if I felt like meta-gaming and I'd really like to feel that point of edge wasn't cempletely wasted.. wink.gif

I wasnt aware that you were a scholar of magical traditions (1 in magical theory is basically uhhhhh I think the mana goes that way bawss!) nor that you were via background extremely familiar with other types of traditions and their magical signatures biggrin.gif. Sorry no meta allowed but that edge allowed you to see the gray spidery lines so enjoy it nyahnyah.gif.
Ears
Well, one is allowed to try. wink.gif
Of course that even ain't going meta in my book cause RAW pretty clearly tells you what any number of hits on an assensing test gets you, absolutely no other skills even mentioned. It's not like people never ace a test by chance...
But hey, it's your show, so who cares about that...
Nevermind, I do enjoy stumbling around in the dark. biggrin.gif

Just an unsual feeling, doing so without a grenade launcher handy...
onlyghostdanceswhiledrunk
to quote a famous man in referencing the assensing table: "Think of them as more guidelines... than actual rules biggrin.gif"

Edit: perhaps that came off as too flippant, I meant that they give general information but nothing in regards to tradition basis etc. (unless that changed with sr4a as i have the sr4 core not sr4a with me)

The snapshot post is in lieu of having a GM to run something for Silk, and something I've been writing for a while hence the slightly epic nature. Feel free to comment smile.gif

It contains metaplot clues about what's going on in my threads on 2072 (but hopefully no spoilers), particularly the stuff that was left hanging with Balefire. There will be more to come!

Of course if anyone wants to GM for Silk that would be grand (but she doesn't really match OGDWD thread of 'low power') biggrin.gif
Fairy
I guess it's Tsubaki's job to calm the kid down. nyahnyah.gif

Some kind of Social Roll for meowing?! 5 hits! biggrin.gif
SoyKaf Adict
I feel accomplished in having a pretty good idea as to what the doctor's astral presence means. smile.gif Damn mundane character though, haha.
Aria
@E:PL / Chicago, can you all make 10 perception tests (non visual for now and note if you get extra visual D) and 10 surprise checks? Don't worry, there shouldn't be 10 encounters but better to be safe than sorry and it's only an invisible castle roll after all, as easy to do 10 as 1 smile.gif

@Everyone else: don' think I'm going to get any more IC done this week, sorry, will pick things up after the weekend and get things moving!

EDIT: Gemeaux, feel free to make the shot...we'll say the sprite+smartlink cancel out the blind fire mod so I dare say you'll obliterate the drone...
Notsoevildm
CZ rolls for Copperhead

Perception:
Int 3 + Per 1 + Audio Enh. 3 = 7d6.hits(5)=2, 7d6.hits(5)=2, 7d6.hits(5)=0, 7d6.hits(5)=4, 7d6.hits(5)=4, 7d6.hits(5)=4, 7d6.hits(5)=3, 7d6.hits(5)=1, 7d6.hits(5)=2, 7d6.hits(5)=2
Copper rolls same dice for visual perception and has natural thermo and electronic low-light vision.

Surprise:
Initiative 6 = 6d6.hits(5)=3, 6d6.hits(5)=2, 6d6.hits(5)=2, 6d6.hits(5)=1, 6d6.hits(5)=0, 6d6.hits(5)=0, 6d6.hits(5)=4, 6d6.hits(5)=1, 6d6.hits(5)=4, 6d6.hits(5)=1

Assensing (because of background count, she will only check the astral if she thinks something is up):
Int 3 + Assensing 2 = 5d6.hits(5)=1, 5d6.hits(5)=1, 5d6.hits(5)=2, 5d6.hits(5)=2, 5d6.hits(5)=3, 5d6.hits(5)=1, 5d6.hits(5)=2, 5d6.hits(5)=1, 5d6.hits(5)=1, 5d6.hits(5)=0

@ Aria: Cool, will post when I get the chance.

@ OGDWD: Thanks! biggrin.gif I didn't think he'd go out and get them lol.
Ears
@Soykaf isn't it nice not to know? Officially at least... wink.gif

Okay, here's the gun info again and here's the shot:

Walther MA-2100
Mods: Internal silencer, skinlinked, chameleon coating, improved range finder
Short Range: 0-150m
RC: 1
AP: Base(3) + EX Explosive(1)= 4
DV: Base(7) + EX Explosive(1) = 8P

Free Action-Taking aim (Krav Maga)
Simple Action-Firing at the teeny tiny drone
Agi(9) + Longarms(5) + Specialty(2) + Aim(1) + Smartgun(Negating Blind mod) + Sprite(Negating Blind mod) = 17d6 for 5 hits. Fingers crossed, fingers crossed...

Perception: Intuition 4 + Perception 1 + Snuff 1 = 6 (I have +3 dice for visual not factored in, and +2 for audio)
Perception tests (6d6.hits(5)=2, 6d6.hits(5)=2, 6d6.hits(5)=2, 6d6.hits(5)=2, 6d6.hits(5)=1, 6d6.hits(5)=2, 6d6.hits(5)=3, 6d6.hits(5)=4, 6d6.hits(5)=4, 6d6.hits(5)=2)

Surprise: Intuition 4 + Reaction 3 + Snuff 1 = 8
Surprise test (8d6.hits(5)=2, 8d6.hits(5)=1, 8d6.hits(5)=5, 8d6.hits(5)=2, 8d6.hits(5)=2, 8d6.hits(5)=3, 8d6.hits(5)=4, 8d6.hits(5)=2, 8d6.hits(5)=2, 8d6.hits(5)=5)

@E:PL Chi Town, none of you are surprised and you have initiative on the ferals. They don't appear to be armoured and their weapons are very 'Mad Max' !

@E:PL UK, you have a little bit of time before that tank can engage you again. The little old lady has a car big enough for you all (if you can get it to run) or you could look elsewhere.

@OGDWD: I'll try and get a version of Scratch to you shortly...I've been following your threads and I don't see immediatly where a ganger from Puyullap would fit in unless it's something that Summer has sent her to do?!? I don't know how you want to view the whole TM oracle that I've established...we can ignore it for your game if that's easier or assume that it fits into some bigger picture somehow?!?

@Anyone else: Nobody want to take up my offer request of GMing for Silk? smile.gif

heh aria oh ye of little faith. I can fit you in no problem, in fact I know what my plot line for you is already. I dont know exactly how summer will play into the issue but its not the biggest focus atm though it will be a decent portion of the plot.
onlyghostdanceswhiledrunk
one other thing i have an issue with is the 6 magic rating; for me personally that doesnt fit low powered nor-insignificant ganger... hell the military wouldve snapped you up so quick even if you were resistance. I kept ears to magic 4 and would appreciate you doing the same or less as he has had training where yours has been slapshod at best.

lol...not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing but I'll take it as a compliment smile.gif

@OGDWD: I hear you on the magic rating, already restatted Scratch with 4! Edge 6 though, hopefully that's ok, I'll probably be using to go first in a combat round as she isn't exactly a combat monster. Stats to follow shortly!
Aria
Here you go, trust this is more to your liking power wise...any comments let me know!

<<Scratch>>

The only thing outstanding is a proper description of her contacts which I'll try and get to tomorrow. There are possibly some areas that may need clarifying from her back story...shout if something's not clear as it's been a while since I wrote most of the background stuff and she has appeared in the 2072 thread as well as the Loveland Dozen thread here on DS before so there may be more info I can give you...

Copperhead takes a simple action to aim then fires at feral ork:
Agi 3 + Shotguns 4 + Smartlink 2 + Aim 1 = 10d6.hits(5)=3, base damage 7P, -1AP

@rd: might want to change your post, im under a really good trid phantasm of nothing except maybe a few dust bunnies biggrin.gif
RdMarquis
There. It's changed. smile.gif Which reminds me. I need to get Astral Perception after I initiate.
Aria
@OGDWD: Ok, Scratch is ready to rock and roll. Do you want me to write an initial locator post or just wait until you write something for her? Yell if you want me to spell out any of the plot hooks that I’ve written in ork.gif or I’ll leave it to your nefarious mind biggrin.gif

@E:PL Chi Town: Copperhead has put down the orc, so that’s one left each smile.gif . Nobody got more of a view on whatever it was above you but you think you heard buzzing!

As a recap (I’ve done a quick search and couldn’t find the info so assume I’ve not told you so far nyahnyah.gif) your proposed package are two teenagers, Katie and Jon, eighteen and fifteen. There may be other runner teams onsite to collect the others that are being ferried out. Presumably the non-TMs will need to fend for themselves.

@E:PL UK: If Mr Hill were to extend his illusion to cover all of you he could make you look like the fogies that are currently milling around. The fact that Charlie is staggering along won’t look out of place smile.gif That should give you time to find a car. Do any of you have any B&E skills appropriate? If not I wave the big GM wand and either Charlie or your resident TM can deal with any minor security. Having a jammer would be a good idea though for those RFID tags – anyone bring one?

Your recap: Your TM Package is Olivier Collot & baby Luc. You are headed for Clearwater on Exmoor somewhere. (2072 map updated with a location!)
