Oh my god, I'm so sorry, yeah I've got finals, but the way the last post was written sounded like it was focusing more on Ears' character, giving him a bit of the spotlight while Saint stands unable to think of the best course of action. While Sport/Adrian hands off the excess cash, she was just gonna stand there, but if you need her take then I'll get to it. Again, my apologies, finals have been a bear to worry about, but I'll put something up shortly.

@OGDWD: Guess even KE, block-headed as they may be sometimes be, should recognise that people who where absent, seeing a doctor and such, and who have to be told what had happened won't be of any interest in this investigation. So, I guess it's Ok if we just tell Adrian and Saint out of that place and into some 24/7 diner or something without any further hassle and then put the action on hold till SoyKaf has more free time, right?

I still keep checking in. I've read the IC a few times, then didn't really know what to put, then got distracted by other things like work. Plus my home PC is broken at the mo so I'm at 50% uptime. If I can think of what to do I'll post soon. smile.gif

I've been back through the IC thread (I got to page 36 anyway) and I've compiled a brief timeline of key timestamp dates. It's by no means complete (particularly the Fortune's Forecast bits) so any additional stuff people want me to include I will. I will also put a copy at the very beginning of the thread which we can keep updating as the IC progresses.

April 15th - Silk, Khalil, Siran and Robert are extracting the Captain of the Henry VIII

April 15th - The Fre∑dom hacker tribe is attacked by corp forces

April 16th - The end of the SKs. Ember dies as does Demon. Copperhead and Dealer make it out. Sirene goes free.

April 17th /18th - Fortune’s Forecast events. Car/head bomb. Attack on gambling den. Bloodbath at Everett Medical Centre. Summer ‘kidnapped’ (?!?)

April 17th - Summer meets Fractal and Prospero having sent runners to help following the attack on the Fre∑dom hacker tribe

May 5th - Copperhead is training with Dr Finney in the Stillwater enclave

May 5th - Anselm (Mr Hill) meets the Abbot following the attack on Gemeaux in an alley in Marseilles

May 8th - Silk meets Aria, Balefire is being brought back together

May 19th - Gemeaux, Mr Hill, Tsubaki & Mordred are trying to get the Collots (Oliver & Luc) to Clearwater

June 12th - Summer comes to Silk with info that will lead to them to the Sintec facility

June 14th - Balefire assault the Sintec facility

June 27th - Argent hires Ælias to lead the group into Chicago to help get Katie and Jon to Stillwater

June 27th - Dealer & Copperhead leave Seattle from a Vory warehouse

July 3rd - Copperhead arrives in Chicago, the others follow shortly afterwards. Dealer fails to make the meet

July 8th - Copperhead, Ælias, Jess are trekking through Chicago to reach Blackwater

Assuming BG count of 1, Copper is going to try and summon a F2 beast spirit (optional power - venom):

Conjuring 3 + Magic 2 = (5d6.hits(5)=2)
Spirit resists (normally would be with 2 dice but not sure whether the BG count adds here so rolled 3): Spirit (3d6.hits(5)=1) = 2nd die was hit so only 1 service either way!
Resist 2S(2P if force counts as 3 due to BG count) Drain: Cha + Will 9 = 9d6.hits(5)=6 - LOL, Snake is looking out for her!
Note that the BG count turns the crappy F2 spirit into an even crappier F1 spirit!

Then takes two shots with shotgun (no recoil due to foregrip) but deduct any dice for range, lighting (has natural thermo and low light from goggles), etc.:

Just the one, her improved reflexes spell lock went 'poot' due to BG count. When bad dudes start shooting back she will take cover - so you can knock 2 dice of the end of any rolls after that. If she gets pinned down, she will switch to BF (another -2 due to uncompensated recoil) and hose the general area using the weedy little spirit as a spotter.

actually couple things, the target number is 16 (stealth rating). and also you forgot to account for diminishing returns (-1d6 per attempt) that is in play for this thread (optional rule sr4a). So go ahead and reroll

Sounds good to me, you trace it to roughly within 50 meters of the old Arcology.... the ACHE. The single dies in that vicinity.

go downtown. the signal doesnt go to a specific node that you can find, as its wireless in orgin so you triangulated to 50m as per sr4.

@Ears: I think we can leave the saint and adrian thread till soykaf gets back. Also we need to connect on what your actions are going to be for the hit.

The target building is a 4 story compound, your target is on the 3rd floor front of the house. The back entry is actually a gate that leaves about 20 feet from the gate to the house, fairly typical apiaries and sand gardens. The property is aproximately 80 feet across (with the house taking up the inner 40) and about the same in depth. Construction is of brick and mortar covered over by paneling that looks like wood or is textured plascrete you arent certain. Neo-Asian architecture, pagoda style roof and all. There is an inner courtyard from what the specs show, so the building is actually thin in its interior dimensions, a hollow square (the courtyard is about 10 by 10 and extends through all 4 levels of the building). The 1st staircase is on the west side of the building (left-hand side from where you enter in the back) and is more of a servants entrance to the upper level living areas (downstairs being given to mostly storage and cooking etc. The other one (ol' creaky) is on the far east and northern corner of the building (you enter on the south side) and leads directly to a hall that circumnavigates the third floor, mostly dormitories.

Let me know if you need any more info than that and how you want to approach it. Also, oddly enough for a triad play thing, this is right in the middle of Tacoma, which is probably the reason for the light security, the less attention, the better.

By the way, I forgot to ask. Is it okay if we skip to the next morning, or something? Assuming the Arcology is even open, Morgan would have to go to extraordinary lengths to enter it. In the daytime, she can say she's going to the mall.

Right. What I meant was, if I recall the Seattle book correctly, the first five floors are just a shopping center open to the public. She can at least get inside that way. Anything beyond that will probably be trouble.

As for the Adrian/Saint-line: Soykaf sent me a message a few days ago, announcing successful completion of finals and imminent return; let's see how that works out. wink.gif

As for the hit: Let's see if I get the layout of the place.

In my head it looks more or less like this crude drawing.

Olive is the garden, red's building, yellow and orange are the stairs on this floor and one floor down, respectively. The light square in the middle is the inner courtyard. I drew it in the middle although it's probably a bit better for the rooms on the 3rd if it's not centered, producing a wider master bedroom and narrower other rooms, but I guess that's not important for the tactical situation, which by default is "You're all going to die down here." wink.gif

You said "mostly dormitories", so - aside from the killer-elite death squad waiting on the 4th floor - I guess this girl has some live-in servants (gardener / cook / Wei Qi grandmaster)?

As for the plan: I like simple (complicated just means more lost work when - not if - things go south) plans, so unless I'm way off somewhere, it's sneak in, up, over to ye olde creaky stairs, up, find tthe guy, pop him and sneak out again. Although, seeing the inner courtyard all through the building I wish I had access to climbing gear. wink.gif

Not that I expect things to go that smoothly...

yeah thats more or less the idea, though as you said the courtyard is offcentered (biased towards the first set of stairs). Also, give me a few infiltration rolls etc etc and say 6 perception tests please. Then ill tell what freedom you have.

I have to confess work is addling my brain at the moment and I seem to have deleted the notes I was tracking this combat on. I make us being on rnd 3 (the 5 hits being the exploding bike). No retaliatory strikes have come close to harming you so don't worry too much about lack of dodging smile.gif

I think I may have jumped the gun a little. According to Seattle 2072, the first five floors of the ACHE are a commercial mall and open to the public. I was figuring she could go there after school.

But, that actually sounds like a better idea (kind of more fun, actually). She's not an adult, let alone a shadowrunner, so Morgan would be considerably less mobile. So, yeah, I'll give that a try. Disregard my last post, and part of the one before that. Since Morgan has to figure this out first, she will keep the Sleuth sprite around. I'm reconsidering skipping to the next morning, too.

Jus'kidding.
So: stations: back gate, back door, first stairs, second floor, creaky stairs, third floor, find right room and right guy, kill him, out again.
Mark'll sneak from one station to the next, look around, crouch down (or find some cover, depending on furniture), listen, wave Sil on, continue.
As for finding the right room: If Tony's plan included that info: start with master bedroom, otherwise the first one from the stairs, peek in (if they got those paper windows, that's really neat), verify.

Hope that plan's not too vague, I'm used to them having only two steps: go somewhere, improvise.

As for vision mods in use: low-light vision. That and Smart, Flare Comp and Vision Mag maxed avail.
