Basically looking for any info of an irish, elven Mage or someone called Paddy (or any variation of Patrick). Which probably wonīt turn up anything, since heīs not in seattle/the shadows/using that name very long.
Also looking for someone being ousted from the families in Seattle (probably Finnigan) lately (probably wonīt find anything, as these thing arnīt openly talked about, but since I know what I am looking for, even some chat-post that 'Paddy left the show' might be some hint).
On the other search, Iīm looking for any scandal (especially in the Eire) involving some rich boy that had to leave his cozy home.
Donīt want to meta-game here, thatīs just the 3 possible backgrounds I thought John would come up with, as described in his takes (though I didnīt research on the TirT. theory, since I probably wouldnīt find anything on that). Still I probbably wonīt find anything, unless the event in the Tir hit the news somehow.
Thatīs 20 searches in total, which would take the Agent marely 3 hours. Still judging from the time I needed to type what Iīm looking for, thatīs probably as much as John can command his Agent to do (though IIRC by the rules this would only take 20 actions, which is one minute) and sift through the results in one day, without neglecting his other tasks.

I'm basically RP'ing with myself here, not saying I don't enjoy it (because I do), however I'd REALLY like to get linked back into the three of your guys' storylines.
Don't get me wrong here, I don't want to compromise all your guys' storylines by saying "C'mon hurry up!" or anything, or deny you guys the RP opportunites by any means. I just want to have some people to interact with that are outside of my own head for a while

Per the book itself, there isn't such a thing as "astral perception test". Basically, everything on the astral (auras, spirits, barriers, lodges, spells, etc...) are visible unless someone is trying to mask/hide/conceal/etc... which in that case calls for an assensing test.
That is a magical skill that Conall doesn't have.
Want me to just roll intuition? (like defaulting)

IIRC, you can't default on Assensing, but astral perception should jsut be a normal perception check, barring trying to get any magic rating, feelings or cyberware readings from any target.
The perception test should just give the location of any hidden things on the astral, depending on how they are hiding.

The thing I want you to do is really a classic Perception test, and there's no reason that a mage's inituition or perceptiveness should change on the astral, the obvious differences in the environment notwithstanding.
So in this case, Mister Juan, please just give me Intuition + Perception.

Yeah, thatīs how I understood the rules as well, as there is no mentioning about perception not being used in astralspace, IIRC, except for reading auras.

-Finding Decryption Utility 3 (8 hits, rolled in previous post). Again, this is the 1st shift, everything else is second shift.
-Finishing the Autosoft Crack (5 hours, hits bought. I asumed the threshhold would be the same like for Active Skillsofts here (16+Rating), before I realised that you had not ruled anything for Autosofts, yet, but I guess handling them like active softs is ok?).
-Ask Conall for backup at the Decrypt meeting.
-Picking up my Edit-Upgrade Chip-Copyand buying an Analyze-Upgradefor 100
right away.
-Starting to fence the original E-War Autosoft (TH 10 / 6 hours, 11 hits!).
-Maybe run some more datasearches (probbably much less then last day though), depending on the results of the last dayīs.

The "Celtic knotwork, crosses and runes" all have specific meanings to someone, but whether they have meaning to Conall is way beyond your agent to figure out. The results on the actual symbols are pretty mixed up, though, except that they are mostly all authentic Celtic stuff. All the nobility is very computer-savvy, and very careful about letting insider info slip to the public. And the closer you get to their personal sites, the more nasty security is waiting to drive you agent away. From OUTSIDE the Tir, there are two pieces of news that stand out, given the search parameters you named. First, there is a flurry of death notices for prominent Tir nobility - three young adult males, no cause of death listed. One of them is named Patrick O'Donnell, and he was the heir to the most powerful of the Tir clans. The dates of the deaths are at various times in the past month. Second, financial markets are abuzz with a power shakeup in the Tir - apparently Clan O'Donnell had to pay some sort of huge monetary fine to Clan O'Neill, which sent stock for Armaments Eireann-tir through the roof (because of the O'Neill clan's close ties with that corp). |

No problem finding a picture of Patrick O'Donnell. Very much unlike Paddy in appearance. Others are minor Tir nobility - also do not look much like Paddy.

Okay - I have a pretty good hunch that Mister Juan is swamped with work - which is a good thing for him/you I'm sure, so rock on. We all gotta make a living and, in fact, that is more important than online gaming.
But since he's/you've been unable to post for awhile and we are trying to get this thing accelerated anyway, I am going to say that the timeline is moved up to where MK and BR are.

However, if the ticket-task turns out to be futil, Iīll cut down to 1.5 only using the Multitasking for 'work', but using the extra-time from the Sleep-Regulator for recreational purposes. Allso, John is trying to judge if this kind of activety is as stress-full as his former work as a lawyer, to avoid overworking himself. Iīd guess, availability-checks are not as work-intensive, as they probably include much dead-time (waiting for a reply or untill the wares arrive, etc.), Iīm not even sure if all the time during the extended test is meant to be spend working on it every minute, or if itīs just how long it take till the ware is available, with only a fraction of that time actually spent on getting it actively, which would make much more sense to me, but thatīs your call. In any case, I did a Cha+Int check and scored 5 hits (7 if Crisis-Management helps in correctly judging the work-load), if this helps in judging how stressfull the blackmarketeering is.
Surprisingly no more datasearches at the moment. Of course Carla will get her updates (but not the searches about Conall), though they will be quiet slim. The Ana (and later Mia) file didnīt provide any new information if I understood you correctly, or are you just waiting for more precise questions?

The event itself - check out info on the real life version to get a sense of the thing. I try to avoid such sites personally, but I won't pretend to be totally ignorant - I believe the ideal thing to Google would be called the AVN awards or something like that. Except it is more Seattle-industry-centered than LA, so not quite as huge an extravaganza.

There were two that stood out as being high quality - Hard Corps and Wolverine. One of those was a subsidiary of KE. Whichever one is NOT associated with KE, that's the one being used (KE won't touch this event for image reasons).
Security is supposed to be very tight - a big contract. Lots of uniform and plainclothes presence, along with lavish and very visible Matrix and Magical security, coordinated with a huge mix of the private bodyguards of all the starlets.
Attendees - EVERYONE in the Adult industry that works in the Pacific Northwest - talent, management, and tech. Also lots of distributors/retailers (business types, both sleazy and legitimate). Media coverage will also be heavy - largely sleazy and/or "edgy" media outlets, but there'll be mainstream coverage as well (condescending feature stories by whitebread anchorwomen - half blushing, half acting open-minded and hip). And any fans with enough cash to score a ticket and the connections to find a seller.
Protesters also expected - religious conservatives and media watchdogs.

But after reading Krait's report and thinking about it, you sent him the text message outlined above.
Since you know he may need your for whatever plan he cooks up, you take your "gear" with you to the clinic on the 12th, knowing you may get stuck there with patients and intending to go straight to the meet from the clinic.
You do get totally swamped with patients, and finally are able to close up the clinic at about 23:10, leaving you just enough time to quickly walk to the meet.

Okay, you have really been swamped at the clinic for the past few days with an influenza epidemic in the neighborhood, so that is why you have not been aggressively searching for Esmeralda.
But after reading Krait's report and thinking about it, you sent him the text message outlined above.
Since you know he may need your for whatever plan he cooks up, you take your "gear" with you to the clinic on the 12th, knowing you may get stuck there with patients and intending to go straight to the meet from the clinic.
You do get totally swamped with patients, and finally are able to close up the clinic at about 23:10, leaving you just enough time to quickly walk to the meet.

As you've all probably guessed, the above was a typo on my part. Sorry about the hassle. BlueRondo, I think if you just change that time to 21:10, all will be well with no need for any further edits. Again, sorry.

Tuesday is of course a fairly tall, shapely white human woman with a giant purple Afro, designer jeans, and a jacket that is unzipped enough to show that she has nothing on under it.
Both Tuesday and Etain will both be obviously totally wasted on narcotics once Carla's trained medical eye sees them in any light, and Carla will probably be able to tell anyway just based on their speech/demeanor.

Oh, alright. I thought you were making Carla extremely late for her appointment.
Here's some additional description of Carla for Etain. I'm really no good at describing facial features, so I'll leave those mostly to the pictures.
-As stated in the Wiki, Carla is about 5' 3" (1.6 m) with a slight frame, though that is difficult to tell because her body is covered from the shoulders to shins in a long trench coat (I don't know whether or not Etain can notice that it is armored). It looks kind of big on her, so it's nearly impossible to make out a distinct body shape underneath. Her feet are covered with big, black boots (nothing stylish). Her face is framed by straight, very dark brown hair that falls about as low as her chin. The hair is damp with sweat, and if you're close enough, you can probably tell that it is not very healthy and is full of split ends.
Contrasting with the dark clothes are her hands, which are covered by white fabric gloves, and her face, which is pale and gaunt. Her hollow cheeks give her a sort of "I'm skinny and hungry" look rather than "I'm skinny and healthy" look, and her lips are thin and pale enough that they are barely noticeable.
Carla is 25, but the fatigue in her eyes and the coarseness of her skin make her look closer to 30. The expression on her face is somewhat listless. If you get near her, you'll notice she smells like a hospital emergency room.
Beyond her clothing, she does not wear a single accessory or piece of jewelry. You don't see a commlink, rings, necklaces, earrings, make-up, or anything of that sort.

I'm on, but I really can't write up a decent enough "sees Carla" post till later this afternoon at the earliest. Silly work that gets in the way.

Just for the record she's actually got long black hair now, streaked with strands of silver and pale blue. She's dressed fairly casual, a pair of well-fit designer jeans and a fitted t-shirt that is currently on inside out, looking like she dressed in a hurry, or in the dark.
