A house rule in one of the books -- I can't find it right now -- has mentioned an Adept could take a Power Point instead of a metamagic feat. Any way to fit that in there?

Already there! (It's on SM 31 if you're looking for it in the books) You'll need to have the Street Magic sourcebook enabled. Click the Add Metamagic button and you should see an item in the list for Additional Power Point. Add it to your character and you're set. biggrin.gif

The only time the numbers looked more like yours were when I accidentally added two copies of Enhanced Agility instead of one Enhanced Agility and one Enhanced Strength. Is it possible that one or more of the limbs have a duplicate of an enhancement and missing one of the others?
That was the problem, stupid me.

Thank you, very much!

Any word on the capacity error I mentioned?

Sorry, I never saw that. Looks like you edited the post after I last saw it. smile.gif

From what I can see, Nonconductivity and Shock Frills are the only ones with incorrect values. I'll go back and modify those. Any others that I'm missing?
Tashiro
Actually, Code of Conduct isn't listed under Advantages, that I can find. I've a character with Courier's Rulz.
Edit: Add to the list, do Qualities have an impact on the character sheet? Genetic Heritage doesn't seem to be doing anything - I can't mark one of the Transgenics as 'no Essence loss'.

I have a habit of doing that. Sorry.

The ones I've checked[the only ones thus far I actually use] are fire resistance, insulation, nonconductivity, and thermal damping. I'll go through the rest and post more when I compile a list.

These four mods have one capacity for ratings 1-3, and a second for ratings 4-6.

Edit: ... Frack. Stupid work... Now I forgot.

Other edit: I use all these+biomonitor in my lined coat. I am the anti elemental technomancer.

EditEdit: Doing the list now. Will post momentarily.

Where is Code of Conduct from? I can't find any reference to it in with the other Martial Arts Advantages in Arsenal.

Qualities affect the character which in turn affects the character sheet. Genetic Heritage only reduces the cost of Transgenic Genetic Enhancements; it does not reduce the Essence cost for anything. Add Genetic Heritage to your character. Click Add Bioware. The Genetic Enhancements can be found by selecting any of the "Genetech:" items from the Category list.

Just using the armor mods under the Add Armor Mod selection

Ah, I think I see where the confusion with Armor Mods is happening now!

Armor Mods works in two different ways thanks to the optional rules from Arsenal. One is Armor Suit Capacity which applies to Military Grade Armors and any Armor that explicitly has an Armor Suit Capacity (Full Body Armor and the Urban Explorer Jumpsuit). These use the Capacity numbers found in the table on AR 44. The Use Armor Suit Capacity optional rule in the Options window turns this on.

The other one is the Maximum Armor Modification rule which applies to everything does not have explicitly have an Armor Suit Capacity (so everything but Military Grade Armors, Full Body Armor, and the Urban Explorer Jumpsuit). This rule instead says that each Armor Mod consumes a number of Capacity slots equal to its Rating (or 1 if it has no Rating). The Use Maximum Armor Modifications optional rule in the Options window turns this on.

Both of these function as they should within the application. If I add Fire Resistance Rating 6 to Full Body Armor (uses Armor Suit Capacity rule), its Capacity cost is 2 as shown on the table on AR 44. If I add Fire Resistance Rating 6 to a Chameleon Suit (uses Maximum Armor Modification rule), its Capacity cost is 6 as described in the Maximum Armor Modifications section on AR 44. Both of these are calculated correctly in Chummer. It's a bit of a confusing system, but that's how the rules describe it as working. wobble.gif

Hi,

sorry, I didn't go through all the 131 pages to see if this bug is already reported.

When I added a Firewall 6 to a custom Comlink, it worked fine. But when I tried to open my character again, it gave me that:

Thanks for the hacked autosofts and other fixes smile.gif Would still be nice to have the ability assign a label to System and Pilot programs as they are platform specific. And whilst I patiently await the implementation of vehicle modification, could we get the ability to save a drone/vehicle with all added gear and modifications to some sort of schematic file. I would like to be able to import a previous design for purchase and have it display a list of the necessary parts with price options for each. Maintaining a drone rigger character is rather tedious as is. I currently just edit the character xml directly for this but keeping the GUIDs and isk spent straight can be a headache. Many thanks for your hard work smile.gif

Okay, in the Skill Section:
The Knowledge Skills do not spread across the entire section, like the Active Skills do, meaning I have to 'pan' back and forth to put in the skills, set what category they're in, and if they have specialties. When I add a new Knowledge Skill, it doesn't 'shift' to take up more space below - instead, I have to use a scroll bar to do this.

On my laptop, I don't see the 'BP: XXX, Remaining: YYY, etc', at the bottom, but I do on my PC.

I gave a gun ammunition and a spare ammo clip, but when I tried to put ammo into the spare clip, I got an error message. I also couldn't delete the ammunition from the gun. (This was a few days back, I don't have a screen cap or anything for this, sorry).

I hope these are useful? Also: Using Windows 7, if I try to load / save the character to an external hard drive on another computer in the network, the computer freezes.

Edit: I can't find a way to mark down spell quickens -- especially those which affect attributes. I'm moving a character from sheet to program, and she's got a Quickened bonus to her Logic I need to keep track of. :\
New Edit: For some reason, the character has a dice pool of 0 with the Shock Glove (Unarmed) even though she had an Unarmed pool of 5.

Okay, purchased a gun. Clicked the little toolbox beside 'reload', and purchased a clip of ammunition. Then 'reloaded' the gun so it would have full ammo. I clicked the little toolbox again to buy more ammunition since the player had three clips. This is the error I get from trying to purchase ammunition.

1600 x something-or-other. Even if I maximize the window, the bottom seems to 'drop out'. Actually, on my PC, while I don't have that problem, I do have the problem that the knowledge skills section do not spread across the entire screen, and are instead clumped in a corner.

As an aside: Ignoring the bugs (which are always bound to happen), this is a pretty awesome program. smile.gif
Edit: For some reason I can't load / buy ammunition for drones. I can get ammunition, I can assign it to a drone, but the weapon won't load the ammunition at all. In other news, pop up windows often aren't large enough to show the buttons to press at the bottom. I'll get the very top tip of the button, but not the button itself. This is on the PC.
SpellBinder
Noticed a data entry error trying to track down a particular piece of cyberware. The External Mount for cyberweapons says it's entry is SR4 344, but should be AU 43.
Sengir
And a new bunch for Nebular...actually two bunches even:
Bugs:
  • Can't reduce Magic to 0 on chargen, Chummer automatically spends BP to bring magic up to 1
  • Uncouth quality of Centaurs can't be bought off at chargen
  • "Uneducated" is listed as critter power and not quality, should sit next to Uncouth
  • Selecting the Infected: Ghoul quality, then deleting it, then adding it again results in all critter powers showing up twice in the "Critter powers" tab. (Although only once on the charsheet)
  • Bow damage is [character's Strength + 2], should be [Strength Rating of the bow] + 2
  • Chemical Gland always costs 30,000, price should be 30,000+X

Stuff that would be nice to have:
  • An option to switch between metatypes during chargen, at least for the "normal" ones
  • Automatically adjusting the amount of BP/Karma spent for Nuyen...I'm thinking of a checkbox next to the spinner box to toggle this behavior.
  • A tag in the exported .xml which lists the formula for damage of a melee weapon (e.g. STR/2+3 P), to determine the effect of "on the fly" strength changes
  • The SINner quality asks for a name, shouldn't that name be the character's name?
  • "Sequencer" should be renamend to "Maglock Sequencer" to avoid confusion
  • Many upgrades to cyberware systems are available without the basic system. For example
    • Eye Laser upgrades without Eye Laser system
    • Secondary Pattern without Voice Modulator
    • Chemical Gland release options without Chemical Gland
  • Instead of having two Mercedes Commando in the vehicle list, one with faux body kit and one without, it would make more sense to add the kit to the mod list (see below)

I figured that was to list what nation / corporation you're considered a citizen of, actually. I'm trying to find where false ID is. smile.gif

Well, here's an update a little sooner than I had planned. I pushed out the updated data files without remembering that some of the changes need the build I was working on. Mental note: coding while you have a cold is not a good idea. nyahnyah.gif

Build 254
  • added support for <matrixinitiativepassadd /> to the Improvement Manager which stacks additional Matrix Initiative Pass bonuses on top of the highest value
  • added support for <initiativepassadd /> to the Improvement Manager which stacks additional Initiative Pass bonuses on top of the highest value
  • added <matrixinitiativepassadd /> to Simsense Booster and Simsense Accelerator
  • added <initiativepassadd /> to Acceleration
  • editing an Advanced Lifestyle no longer resets its number of pre-paid months to 1
  • added support for naming standard Lifestyles
  • melee Weapons mounted in Cyberlimbs now use the limb's STR for calculating their Damage
  • reverted the change to Mystic Adept Power levels: as per the FAQ, their maximum level is based on your Adept MAG, not total MAG
  • updated the Max. Spirit Force House Rule to also encompass Mystic Adept Power Levels
  • Adept Powers now show their source and page information in a tooltip
  • added support for transferring Weapons between a character's Inventory and Vehicles
  • fixed an issue where purchasing additional Ammo could result in a divide by zero error
  • Critter Powers tab is now properly cleared when access to Critter Powers has been lost
Modified Strings
  • Checkbox_Options_MaxSpiritForce
New Strings
  • Message_CannotMoveWeapons
  • MessageTitle_CannotMoveWeapons
  • Message_SelectLifestyleName
  • MessageTitle_SelectLifestyle
  • String_LifestyleName

Make sure you are adding the Ammo to the Vehicle/Drone itself and not to the Weapon Mount. The Vehicle/Drone only searches within the first level of Gear to find Ammo.

I'm wondering if the Windows font size is messing with things again. It shouldn't since I changed the font stuff, but I'm curious... If you right-click on your desktop, select Personalize, click Display in the lower-left, you should see 3 font sizes: Small, Medium, and Large. Which one of those is selected?

It should, be there's a chance that either the character will not have a real name to associate with it (they simply didn't fill in the field), or somehow get another name on that criminal SIN.

I'll see if that fixes the drone problem shortly. The display is set for 'medium'.

Doh, thanks

Another bug:
Using " in a knowledge skill name causes an unhandled exception ('/character/skills/skill[knowledge = "True" and name = ""Echte" Nahrung"]' ist not a valid token). I hope you've learned to sanitize your inputs nyahnyah.gif

Can we get translation strings for the default entries of Karma and Nuyen expenses?
The Wrestling Troll
Chummer gives me an error if I try to create an ally spirit.

Here's the error description:
Part of it is in German because of my german Windows 7, hope it helps you anyway!

If I press "forward" I get to the normal screen where I can change stats etc. but the Skills screen is completely empty with only the option to add exotic melee and ranged skill. Everything else is gone..

Wouldn't it be possible to make a separate Tab for Mages with the conjure ally skill, similar to the Drone/Vehicle Tab? That way it would be possible to link karma expenses directy to the Character?

Also the Weapon Focus doesn't add any Dice Modifiers in the Gear tab like for example Smartlink does for Guns.

Also the stats of the Ally spirit should be equally with the chosen Force if i'm correct? In the Chummer generator you can choose how high the stats will be, can't you change it to the value "F" for Force?
Streetmagic page 105
"Attributes
An ally’s attributes (both physical and astral) equal its
Force; allies using the Inhabitation power follow the rules
for Inhabitation Merges, p. 100, to determine physical attributes.
An ally begins play with an Edge attribute equal to the
conjuring character’s Edge, rather than its Force as normal
for spirits."

And now for the error report:

Actually, a button for making a lifestyle permanent might be nice -- having it check to see if you have enough money, then making the expenditure would save having to click 99 times. wink.gif

You just do what the book says, buy 100 months and it's permanent. Also has a note right next to the number of months.

I had to exploit the software's bug to be able to make a Trust Fund (RC101) character. These characters have free lifestyles.
That free lifestyle makes you throw more dices when rolling for starting moneyetc.

What I did was purchasing the lifestyle and making it 0 month after, still having that lifestyle for starting money. Yeah, that's strange. You can have a luxuary charcter with 0 month and throwing money like a luxuary man. It was the easiest way to do that.

EDIT: It's there, I'd just already taken it.

I though of something the other day since quite a lot of stuff have changed in Chummer (and are still changing ^^).

Could it be possible to "refresh" old entries without having to delete and add them again. For exemple programs with copy protection for older characters and other cases like changed Qualities etc. Maybe not doing that automatically, but at least through a menu or a option on a rigth clic.

Does the program take into account that you should have 100 unused months at one time? Not that it matters in most campaigns, but you could theoretically play for 8 years and 4 months and would get a free lifestyle, even if you bought one month at a time.
Tashiro
I mean, if you're buying lifestyle, it would be better to just have one button for 'make permanent', and it adjusts your nuyen accordingly, rather than go 'buy 1 month *click* and buy 1 month *click*, and...'

  • I'm not sure what you're referring to in the first item. Which submenus? What is the error you're getting?
  • Looks like there's a problem with how it's trying to look for which Program Option you have selected in Career Mode. I'll have this fixed in the next update.
  • The Add & More button seems to be working fine with both Create Mode and Career Mode.
  • Complex Forms data file has been updated to correct Area having Ratings.
Tashiro
Basically, when I go to a program and go, 'malware' to open up and see what's available, then close the submenu again, I get the error. It's ignorable, since as long as you hit 'continue' nothing bad happens.

Running Wild, near the end. They're technomantic critters, you can even take one as a 'familiar' of sorts.

This just could be an ID10T error on my part, but as of late when using Chummer, armor doesn't show how many slots it has after it's added to a character. Is there a setting or something? When in the screen to purchase/select the armor, it shows its capacity. It's just once you add it, and start wanting to mod it, it doesn't show anything.
