Bastard
Oh well... I wasnt sure what you meant.

Bastard
Here is the gear list you all sent me before leaving to Denver. I will come back and edit to include your gear you picked up in Denver. I need to locate Jamie's list.

If I recall correctly, I took everything I had except for the extra doses of anticoagulant. I think I had two weeks worth. I'll need to pick some more up while we're here.

Dont forget the bonus missions, too.

Like you say.... they're a bonus! wink.gif Trust my teammies to diggin into the Denver shadow-scene and checking out mr White
Mister Juan
@Bastard
If need be, here's what Ludi brought with her.

-Two high quality wigs: one blonde, one black.
-Armante Venetian Dress
-Armante Venetian Shawl
-Form Fitting half body suit
-All the necessities for a 1 week trip; clothes (ordinary and fine), bathroom stuff, makeup, etc...
-One carry on and one suitcase. The carry on suitcase will only hold a few personal items and a single change of clothes. Everything else goes in the suitcase.
-Nav-Dat GPS, Pocket Computer, Earplug Cell Phone, Pager, Biomonitor
-Electronic tool kit
-2x stim patch, 1x trauma patch

She also has a high quality SIN and all attached visas and paperwork

As a side note, and this concerns everyone: altought we haven't used it, we do have access to another safehouse in the Sioux Sector.
Mister Juan
@Kliko
Well, I guess this means we're not getting rid of the gear wink.gif
Like I mentioned to you yesterday, I'll have Ludi work Daze a little more to see if she can get on his extra good side.

@Bastard
Can I just PM you a big ass list of "calls ludi will make" like I usually do? I don't have one right now, but I'm sure it'll fill up pretty quick wink.gif
Also, concerning the safehouse Millard said Ludi could take, I remember no money had changed hands, since it was only a backup. I take it we'll have to pay for it, right?

You can PM or you can just put it in the OoC in spoilers.

Right.
Bastard
Negotiations roll Kliko.
Mister Juan
Just so I understand correctly, Kliko is asking for 150 000 nuyen.gif total, correct?
With 50 000 now, and 100 000 after?
Bastard
Sounds like.
Kliko
Thats correct. We're going to need it too.

Negotiations roll:
[ Spoiler ]
Mister Juan
If this guy can get us across borders no problemo, maybe we can get our personal gear from home to Denver through him? We might save some nuyen.gif that way.
ntwi
I believe he was referring to the borders within Denver, although I could be mistaken. What gear are you thinking you need from the Bay Area? Weapons? Armor? Explosives?
Mister Juan
Things that we might need to break into places (like very high rating sequencers and such), or high end electronics (Jammers and such). They are things we can in Denver, but that cost a lot of money.

Bastard
Remember also that the costs of things in Denver are higher than normal street index value, due to these borders.

You want her to squash the guy with the SUV, right?
Kliko
Just take his picture will do;-)

But I'll leave it up to Ludmilla. It would be real easy nuyen!

Making a run for it with the 50k sure is tempting and something the team will have to seriously consider.
ntwi
IIRC, we have the safehouse in UCAS until the 15th? I'm presuming that at this point we will be returning there to review the mission and the objectives/bonuses. Felix is rather less keen on taking his money and blowing him off.
Bastard
Waiting on me?
Kliko
Nope, Juan is up next picking us up with the SUV.
Mister Juan
I know I know, I'm a very bad person wink.gif
I'll have something up tonight for sure. I've just been very busy with school (and by busy, I mean it's been kicking my ass).
I'm almost starting to regret going back to that damn thing nyahnyah.gif
Mister Juan
@Bastard
Since I take it the run is "over", what was the name of it? Just for reference on my character sheet.

Survival of the Fittest: Cunning (Part I)

But you can list it just as Cunning

The mission we are about to start was going to just be Demolition Men, but now it has a new name: Mile High Mayhem. Or which ever you like better. Maybe we should vote. grinbig.gif

The man in the white suit will be cleaning up the crime scene and taking care of Morningstar. He informs you that he wont remember the meet, so your identities are safe from him.

Feel free to NPC him out and move yourselves forward to where you want to go over the mission details. I will try to get the job details up this afternoon or tomorrow. Not feeling well, so tomorrow is more likely.
Kliko
Mile High Mayhem +1

I'll leave it up to Juan/Ludmilla where she takes the team. I don't believe there is any time pressure for this run except from angry husbands and spouses back in the Bay area.

Can we spend any karma yet?
Mister Juan
Did we get any karma from this run? Or did I miss a post or something.

I thought we had the Safe House in UCAS through the 15th, another 7-8 days still. Why are we finding a new unsecure hotel room for planning?

QUOTE (Bastard @ Feb 18 2011, 05:06 PM) *
13:04:25 Monday, 3 April 2062 - Mile High Club, Bar and Grill - Denver International Airport - UCAS Sector, Denver
Looking up from his PSec, Daze brought the conversation back to business, for which Valentina was relieved. "It looks like I will have a safe house available. It is a small house, in a not so friendly neighborhood. Your clients should fit in well."

"How much? For everything."

After some negotiations they settled in on 2200 nuyen.gif including use of the safe house through the 15th. After that it was 500 nuyen.gif per week. The costs were a bit more than average, but due to the low availability of black market items in Denver, it wasn't unexpected. The good thing is she was able to get everything she needed and quickly.

"Here is my contact information and the address to the safe house. The windows all have bars, fitting in with the rest of the neighborhood, and there is a maglock and deadbolt on the garage, front, side and back doors. You can use a four digit code to access the building and there are directions on the panel how to change that code.
I will reset that code to 2062 tomorrow, after 1700. At that time you will have access to the property, and your gear will be inside, in a wall safe in the master bedroom. It will be coded the same as the doors."

Just a quick stop over on the way, while Ludi does a call or two. I know Jamie wanted to check if the data was bugged before we do anything. I think we'd rather find out it is while elsewhere than our safehouse.

At least, that's Ludi's logic.
galenbd
We could always buy a nuker to keep in the SUV.
ntwi
Nuker? I thought I was fairly well versed in shadowrun but I can't think of a "nuker" right now. A faraday cage box to store it in, sure. Completely off-line data viewing ability that cannot connect to anything else, sure. But I can't think of a "nuker" right now. What is it?
Mister Juan
I think we're all getting mixed up because I thought Jamie wanted the "Nuke" software wink.gif I believe there's actually an application called Nuke in shadowrun.

Hoi the fun of mix ups! nyahnyah.gif
galenbd
I was taking about a microwave oven. They make great Faraday cages. Try sticking your cellphone in one, then giving it a call.

I thought "nuker" was the appropriate Shadowrun slang.

Done! It's under Current Links.

Upcoming...

1 - Karma Awards... while you spend it, I will have time to organize my notes (and probably rewrite)!
2 - Go over Ludi's legwork
3 - Organize my notes - aka clean my computer room so my notes are accessible
4 - Update my First IC and OoC posts
5 - Post IC, officially starting Mile High Mayhem

Question 1
Mile High Mayhem 1
Demolition Men 0

Question 2: Do you all want to keep Corsair as an NPC or do you want me to write him out?
Keep Corsair
Dump Corsair
galenbd
Corsair's involvement is not required for this next run. We have several others who can cause destruction. In my opinion, we should not keep him as an NPC.
ntwi
Mile High Mayhem +1 more

Corsair:
His SUV: As his vehicle was one of two driven from CalFree, it's disappearance could make things awkward. Either a rental car, a new car, or retconning someone else's vehicle here from CalFree will be required for the entire team to drive around.
Demolition: Remotely piloted vehicles can make large scale demolition fun and easy, but he is certainly not required.
Kliko
Keep Corsair +1

Corsair is very good to have around as:
- Overwatch
- Surveillance
- Drones with remotely operated arms! (like ntwi said, very sweet to place demolition charges - I'm thinking thermite charges on warehouse roofs)
- Armoured transportation. A second SUV makes us just so much more flexible.

At least overwatch, surveillance and transportation are low-profile background tasks which shouldn't really require much effort from either a GM or players.
Bastard
Keep Corsair 2
Dump Corsair 1

I will have a post up tonight!

My computer room is clean(ish) and I found a bunch of old notes! Horah!

Got a doctors appt, so after that, I will be back online making some posts! Hopefully I wont be there forever. Oh joyous day!
Mister Juan
Although it's true that Corsair isn't 100% necessary, having a rigger around is a pretty nice addition... even if he's just there to serve the role of getaway driver.
Bastard

Ludi would owe for February, March and April. Your first month is covered in CharGen.

I'd like to clarify this for my understanding.

Jamie got 10 Karma to spend on Knowledge skills. 9 Karma to spend on anything else. I can bank these. 1 Edge Flaw point to adjust Edges or Flaws.

Is my understanding correct? Is Cash for Karma in play in this game?
