Kliko
Kliko is basically what you'd call a succesful and retired orc merc (at 25 he qualifies as rather old for an orc that is). A merc who worked hard, spent all his hard-earned nuyen in the short periods between long off-shore assignments and in support of his family back home (also growing with the respective visits).

He's keen on tactics, but recognizes the need for simple setups (read up the articles on Small Unit Tactics I and II here: http://marcucci.homeserver.com/archive/Arc...egory=Military) and the need to adapt as a situation unfolds. Other than that he has a mish-mash of skills you might expect from a veteran merc (demolitions comes to mind during the planning of a sabotage run).

Kliko has no issues with taking up a leaderhip role. He speaks his languages (at least skilled in Spanish, but he should practice his Russian more often) which he picked up from working with foreign colleagues (hence Ludi's surprise biggrin.gif). Both Ludi and Sugar recon he must have made (the equivalent of a) NCO-ranking in whatever Merc group he was employed and carries the cyber you'd might expect from people in that position (lots of senseware).

All-in-all he is fairly rounded out, hates medical expenses(takes the profit out of bizz), "Yeah, we cover medical expenses, but the general idea is not to get hurt.". In a firefight he's likely to dive for cover first, asses the situation second and reign death upon his foes third (or lay down a suppresive fire until his teammies reign down death on his behalf).

@blindfox > you got a good computer now so you can use the excel dossier?
Mister Juan
In the past few months, the team has learn more than a few things about Ludi. First and foremost, they have come to discovered that her reputation as a “bitch with a short fuse is quite well deserved. She most definitly has a short temper, and is quite prone to outbursts of anger. Up until now, she has snapped at everyone on the team. Some, more than once. She is most definitly not afraid to speak her mind up, and she express herself in a very “blunt fashion. Ludi isn't without tact or any sense of decorum... her feelings are simply always very strong, about everything, and they show through quite clearly. Nevertheless, she doesn't seem to be one to hold grudges. The only one she hasn't almost struck yet is Kliko. Strangely enough, she'll most definitly give him dark looks from times to times... but she'll never go up agaisnt him in front of the others.

Concening her original dislike of Knuckle Duster; all her animosity seems to have evaporated in a few short days. What has become clear is that Ludi doesn't trust mages and shamans. From what little she has shared in the past 2 months, it seems she spent quite some time fighting awakened rebel forces in the Yakut... which could account for ther cautiousness around magic. Or maybe it's something else.

Skill wise, Ludmila has proven to be very reliable in numerous fields. Her background as a soldier, an electronic warfare specialist and as an intelligence agent has enabled her to fill in numerous niche in the team. She has shown extensive knowledge in intelligence gathering, electronics, electronic warfare and surveillance technics. Her combat abilities revolve mainly around CQB, being that she very proficient with handguns and submachine guns. Surprisingly enough, it turns out that Ludmila is part of an underground boxing league, making her quite deadly with her two fists alone. Beside her native russian and english, she has shown a somewhat basic understanding of cantonese and mandarin.

Cybernetics wise, Ludmila's head seems to be where all the metal bits are. Like any good spook, all of her senses seemed to be amped up. Even her sense of smell is augmented to that of a bloodhound. She also made it clear that she has implanted memory storage... but she seems to make a point of memorizing things instead of just loading them up. With her knowledge of decryption technics, it isn't all that surprising she would rather trust her resistance to torture rather than a firewall.

Up until now, Ludmila has never shown up for any team related business on a sunday. When asked why, she usually flips people off.

HAHAHHAHA!
Kliko
AAARRGGHHH!!! I don't have clue what 'Pryvet' means! (all the online translators turn up blank).

Anyway post is up, lets move things forward.

-EDIT-
@Bastard: Did James(P.I. contact) find anything on Radek for nuyen.gif 1,000?
Mister Juan
Pryviet is the russian equivalent of "hello, hi, hey, sup biatch"
Kliko
I figured as much.

We're waiting for you mr. Juan. Let's move things forward to the next day and get the rest involved before the meet.
Mister Juan
I'll post as soon as I get home. I'm currently still at work... so count about an hour or 2.
Kliko
I don't have a clue where the Antioch eastern-docks are (all I find are some marina's). For this post I presumed it was either east or west of the bridge.

Some Background on Bubba.

"Take him out for donuts often enough and he will love you for life."

-JJ

-Bubba started life as a spoiled human growing up with a lavish lifestyle with maids, servants, and not much oversight of parents. He got anything he wanted and fattened up to a plump silver-spooned adolescent. He goblinized during puberty into a troll, not just any troll, a real oversized uglier than normal troll.

His parents abandoned him in the woods after the goblinization fearing it would harm their reputation and they were almost never heard of again. Bubba was kicked out of foster homes and orphanages for his socially disturbing and unacceptable behaviors. His last orphanage, on his way out the door, he received a note with a locked cred stick that lead him to his guardian figure he calls JJ.

JJ was a seasoned veteran shadow runner who knew bubba's parents and agreed to look after Bubba and teach him the ways of the shadows. Eight years of working for JJ taught Bubba a lot of combat skills. After 8 years JJ retired from the shadows and gave Bubba the key to unlock his cred stick. Bubba decided to stick with the runner lifestyle and used the money to "make himself better." Bubba has been taking jobs for a little over a year on his own, but nothing too big. The Shasta run was Bubba's hope to prove himself and get some big jobs.

Bubba has quirks, he smells, doesn’t bathe often enough, is addicted to comfort food, namely donuts, has a hard time staying focused unless he feels like the people involved care about him, throws childhood temper tantrums since he always got his way, and can be stubborn especially when his feelings are not being validated. He also has trust issues but those can be overcome quickly when he feels emotional validation.

He really is a beast when it comes to meat shields and combat, JJ trained him well, now if Bubba can learn to grow up some, overcome his childhood quirks, bathe, and have some closure on his parents, he may turn out to be an extremely valuable asset. Until then, he can be unpredictable -sometimes an asset and sometimes a liability.

If the team validates him and works with him, as Kliko may have some experience with, he could prove to be a valuable asset.

Made a correction for you. grinbig.gif
Mister Juan
Here is a quick rundown of what Ludi brought with her, for the meet scout.

-Cutters
-Nav Dat GPS
-5 micro camcorder
-Electronic Tool Kit

Basically, he plan is to try to cover as much of the meeting ground with the cameras. Mainly any routes in and out.
Bastard
If you guys are ready for the meet, let me know and I will make my post. Hope to have it by tomorrow night when I get home from work (about this time).

Mister Juan
On a totaly different note, I have a few team related questions.

-Do we have anyone skilled with any sort of long range weaponry? As in, if need be, who would be the team's designated "sniper"?
-What vehicles do we have at our disposal? I believe Kliko and Sugar each have one SUV, and Ludi a sports car.
-What vehicle skils do we have at our disposal? (Ludi can drive cars rather well)

I also have a little idea trotting around my head, again, team oriented.
-How would you all feel about using some of the next run's nuyen to get everyone outfited with one breakable tooth compartment with a AOD signal beacon? That way, if, God forbids, someone on the team should fall into "enemy" hands, we can track him back for an heroic rescue.

blindfox
well, i designed sugar to be primarily recon and close fighting but fleshed him out with alot of skills possessed by spec ops. that is to say, he can operate as a sniper if the need arises, but that he was trained in that area as a redundancy to overlap skill sets with other members of the team. he can stalk and hide quite well, as that was his meat and potatoes but as to his abilities at delivering long range precision rifle fire he'd rank about that of a squad designated marksman. (unfortunately my laptop got smashed with his character sheet on it. still works but to see my data now i have to hook up a s-video cable up to a tv and set up duly monitors) however, sugar doesnt own any long guns at this time; he hasnt been a shadowrunner for that long yet and hasnt been able to get enough scratch. he could probably make due with an assault rifle if anybody has one.
Mister Juan
Indeed; an assault rifle would probably be a good stand it. To my knowledge, the only person with one on the team is Kliko... and it's his beloved Ares Alpha wink.gif

How I would see things, concerning the meet (working my way outward from the center of the meeting point):
1- Ludi & Knuckle Duster meet with Smith : since, in theory, it's "Ludi's meet" nyahnyah.gif, and Duster provides close range support.
2- Bubba : close by, but out of sight, close range support, can probably haul both Ludi's and KD's asses out if need be)
3- Sugar : a little further away, out of sight, can provide mid range covering fire, and keeping overwatch for outsiders
4- Kliko: high ground, designated "sniper" for the meet, overwatch and surgical fire if need be

We can actually switch Duster and Bubba if need be.... but Ludi won't understand a single word he says...
Bastard
QUOTE (Mister Juan)

You might want to include: out of odor range as well. rotfl.gif
Kliko
In general Kliko can fulfill the 'overwatch'-role quite nicely. He would use his supressed AK instead of the Ares Alpha though. The Alpha is just there in case they have to operate in extremely high violence spectrum.

First priority for the meet will to be get everybody out safe (and healthy)

Second priority is the actual meet itself.

Kliko's Land Rover is armoured(concealed) and he proposes something like:

1) Ludi meets with Smith, Kliko remains in car (covering Ludi and get her the frag out of the killzone if its a setup)
2) KD and Bubba backup on their bikes, probaply a block, half a block away to stop any pursuit
3) Sugar on overwatch. If he doesn't have a rifle he can lend Kliko's AK (no, don't event think about him lending out the car or Ares Alpha)

In case Sugar's Land Rover is armoured, Kliko and Sugar best switch position.

-EDIT-
Kliko is not in favor of an AOD device in his tooth. That's what the BattleTac is for

-EDIT2-
I will put in a somewhat more elaborate fluff description of Kliko's workshop later on. I just don't have the time right now.
blindfox
his truck is stock and un-armored for now. if you want him in a mid-range role i'll need an assault rifle because an ingram just wont cut it at range, despite that range mods arent really an issue. prolly need to borrow that AK either way, mid-range or sniper role. also i have some demo if we need to go that route. no cameras or other surveillance gear, but i can record what i see and hear
Kliko
Ok, done some editing of my post. If you have any issues with presumed dialogue feel free to comment and I will edit accordingly.

-EDIT-
Am I being superstitious when I note this meet is scheduled for friday the 13th?
Mister Juan
I hadn't even noticed that wink.gif Now I'm all edgy 'n shit nyahnyah.gif

I think you might want to reread your post... I think you called Ludi "Sugar" a few times too many wink.gif

blindfox
might tweak Sugar's dialogue a little. he's upbeat but not cavalier. he always plays at ease but he's deadly serious beneath it. and just to make sure, yer putting him on the OP in overwatch, yeah? didnt wanna make an assumption, as its the mother of all fuckups and the only stupid question is the one not asked.

oh, should i make the questions like that in character? i can see how it'd be cool, but it could take the briefing a lot longer...

-edit- and he wouldnt call anybody honey wink.gif
Kliko
Urgh, I mixed up Ludi's and Sugar's names in the IC-plan.

I will edit the dialogue Blindfox, yes Sugar is on overwatch. Feel free to ask questions and put up comments on the plan IC.
blindfox
you know, maybe after a couple months of drilling he might let the team call him by one of his other names, if it's too confusing, i dont mind

-edit- and he'll hold all questions to the end. that's generally how its done
by the way, i love the way you guys write out yer posts. im gonna have to work at doing better (or at least make sure not to post when im drunk ;p)
Mister Juan
@Bastard
-Do you want any rolls (and if so what and how many?) for Ludi's bug placement?
-Ludi will place a call to Miron, while she's with Kliko, to see if she can learn anything else about the meet
Etiquette Roll
[ Spoiler ]

-Also, is it too late to spend some of that 6000 nuyen.gif ? I would have loved to have Ludi get some "cheap" implants during the 2 months "down time". Mainly Subdermal Speakers, and a Transducer.
Bastard
You could have spent all your money and karma. Wait until next mish.

If you guys are still planning, I will wait to enter my post.
blindfox
right, i hadnt even thought about spending any of that initial 6k :duh:
does that imply, however, that we can try and aquire some simple stuff after the meet?
Bastard
yes.

always.

i will be back on tonight and see if i have to edit my writing before i post. biggrin.gif
Mister Juan
To speed up the planning part (I'll write an IC post later): Ludmila won't add much.

She'll do her best to negotiate the price up, whatever it might be, and probably add the necessary perks if they aren't provided (extra nuyens for fake ids since they'll have to leave California, short term docwagon contracts, etc...)

Ludi will plug her transceiver radio straight through her datajack during the meet, and do an audio relay... in case anyone has any special questions of request while the meet is going on.
Kliko
I never really understood why the functionality of the transducer isn't incorporated in stock datajacks, but thats just me. Anyway, Kliko provides the remaing crew with a personal comm-unit for purposes of communication.
[ Spoiler ]

Anyway Kliko is jacked in his vehicle and through that linked to the master comm unit. He will be scanning frequencies, watching Ludi's and Duster's back, that type of stuff.
[ Spoiler ]

@Blindfox:

-EDIT-
Personally I'd spend the up-front nuyen on lifestyles wink.gif
Bastard
I forgot to tell you guys.

Milk runs earned you about 3 grand each, after expenses, and this can be used to pay your Dec and Jan lifestyles.
Mister Juan
@Kliko
Actually, Ludmilla has a rating 5 encryption module, if need be.
She also has a rating 8 scanner, which Kliko could use wink.gif
Kliko
Encryption is bound by the lowest encryption device in use.
[ Spoiler ]

With regard to the scanner i'm just being lazy. The master-unit has an integrated scanner function. Putting a different scanning unit in the car is just to much space/time consuming wink.gif

It's expensive stuff due to the street index (3.5) increasing the price for a rating 4 armor (able to shrug of most small arms fire) to a whopping nuyen.gif 28,000. Better save up some of that nuyen...

-EDIT-
@Bastard: Do you need a pack-list from us? Kliko would have spent the time until the meet with packing stuff so he can head out as soon as possible.
Bastard
Not right now... but for the mission... yes.

@Bastard: What do our characters know or are able to find out about Kourou within a complex-action (I'm not sure about the PocSec capability)?

They're doing jungle warfare training for approx half the western worlds militaries, go figure when you meet them at their turf wink.gif. Lets wait until Bastard clears whether our characters have acces to that knowledge at this short notice.

Its always difficult not to mix up player and character knowledges. That and the sixth world could be also slightly different from the world as we know it today.
